meritocracy hierarchy

MERITOCRACY HIERARCHY
Green Mountain Dude ( here ) had a great article on his dogs, the evolution of man with dogs and dog hierarchy being like human social order.  I’m glad GMD doesn’t write more often or he would be a threat to my paycheck J It didn’t get me thinking about dogs, but about humans need for hierarchy and our satisfaction with life in the pack order.  GMD was talking about how dogs actually relax and enjoy life once they know that the pack hierarchy is in no danger of disruption.  Their place in the pack is irrelevant to them.  They just need to BE.
*
If you think about it without Libertarian distortions ( and yes, as much as I admire and identify with anarchy-even enjoying punk rock-I know it isn’t a viable construct.  And Libertarianism is a pathetic version of anarchy ), as a tribal creature, man is just as needy of a hierarchy as dogs are.  Not all of us want to be the leader.  He might eat better and get laid more, but he is also paying for that privilege.  He earns the perks.  Most of us are content in the middle layers we strove for and attained.
*
Leader of the pack isn’t even what we want, just promotion above base level.  We want to work hard and be rewarded for it, but that doesn’t mean you shoot for top dog position.  You just want to excel and be recognized.  That is skill and innovation, which is totally different than using THAT to springboard to leadership.  That is one of the issues I have with military leadership-it rewards Mandarins who only advance through loyalty rather than merit.  I understand WHY.  The Union and Empire needed loyalty to start and succeed.  Loyal cannon fodder could be replaced as talent was searched for.
*
But that has gotten a lot of folks killed, hasn’t it?  And if you think about it, the professional full time army was ALWAYS full of Mandarins.  At the tip of the spear, fighting Indigs for your state as part of the militia, you needed to know what you were doing.  But that politically appointed asswhore officer from the “real” army didn’t require much skill.  Nothing has changed in 250 years.  The offshoots of the English aristocracy have always been snooty dinguses willing to kill the poor for another shilling in the kings coffers.
*
See?  I PREFERRED being an enlisted man, even with that target painted on my back by incompetent jerks.  I wasn’t jealous they had leadership position.  I would have just preferred to have an officer who knew what he was doing and wasn’t going to get me killed.  Goodness knows the guys in training and logistics did everything they could to endanger me, so it would have been nice if the guy in charge of tactics at least had a clue.  I was content in my hierarchical position.  I WANTED someone else in charge.  I just wanted to shoot people and then drink beer.
*
I had no problem with being a peon.  I DID have a problem with a lack of a meritocracy.  I would love it if all I had to do was write.  I don’t like being an editor or a business owner or a PR guy or whatever.  I’d prefer to have a boss that gave me creative control but ran the business, even after taking most of the profits.  But you cannot find quality publications anymore, can you?  You have to do it yourself because everyone else sucks.  And I think preparing sees the same issue.
*
Everyone wants to be the General, but they want to run the organization in the nation state manner.  Loyalty rather than merit.  They have ZERO idea what it takes to be the alpha dog.  They just want to put on a pretty uniform which gives them the right to be respected and revered.  Preppers want to be in charge of everyone in their group, but they don’t know what it takes to stay in charge by doing the hard work.  Just as members of that group usually fail to realize the need for pack loyalty and instead substitute consumption.
*
The preppers that recognize this system in place obviously lean towards hermitage and going it alone.  Because just like a dog realizes instinctively, a true hierarchy with a real alpha dog protects all members but one without a true leader endangers all.  A dog will challenge for alpha status not because it wants to be in charge but because SOMEBODY needs to be, anybody, and he isn’t seeing that.  If it is put back in its place, back down in the hierarchy, it is happy because he knows a competent leader is in charge and all is well.
*
The pack is once again secure.  I want a qualified leader in charge.   I didn’t stress about Shrub being President, but I sure did with Obammy and I am with Forrest Trump.  Why?  It isn’t a Republican or a Democrat thing, it is a merit thing.  Shrub was a worthless puke, but he had Cheney in charge of the operation.  And Cheney was a true Alpha.  He got stuff done.  He didn’t make ANY threats, let alone worthless ones.  He just took care of the business of empire.  Obammy and Trump?  Nothing BUT worthless talk.  They are little old ladies sitting on the porch sipping lemonade while the real leaders are working the field.  I DESPISE Israel and its control over our government.  If you got close enough to Trump you would smell Israeli dingus on his breath.  But I respect Israel for its ability to make our President bark.  I respect the ability.  I’m not happy I’m affected by it, but I do wish we could do the same to other countries.  I don’t have to like Russia or Putin to respect its achievement recovering after we screwed them.  That is the issue with our feminine leadership.  They think a façade is sturdy.
*
They actually believe that bejeweled General has ability.  After all, he was strong enough to rise to the top.  But a masculine view ONLY respects that rise through merit.  Alpha dogs have to be the strongest and most able.  They weren’t appointed through their ability to ass kiss or backstab.  Just because an assassin can kill the king while he sleeps doesn’t mean he knows how to be king ( if that analogy helps ).  Without honor you can’t prove loyalty either.  An assassin isn’t going to fight to the death to protect others.
*
I suppose it shouldn’t surprise any of us that in a feminized culture there are never any kings anymore but only assassins.  No one of honor but only of power by any means.  An honorable businessman would have profited off his merits and conceded defeat and closed the shop doors if bested.  Now we only have scammers and cheaters.  Some asshat pretends we can go to Mars or cut pollution while building cars that blow up even if not in use, while he smokes pot and dreams up the next government bail-out.  It should surprise no one the best strategy is to drop out.
*
Ayn Rand probably became more popular for Going Galt than for being a study in anti-communism.  Of course, there was the meritocracy and the proper gender roles that also made it classic, but it probably was also helped by timing, becoming popular as our culture was assaulted by Beta Dogs taking over from Alpha’s ( in this respect, Cheney really was an outlier as his kind were endangered long before ).  It was a tale of an Alpha, and the lack of them in reality made the fictional one so appealing.  The same could be said of the vigilante genre in fiction.
*
The pulp series The Executioner, Charles Bronson’s “Death Wish”, Clint Eastwood.  They certainly did celebrate the ideal, but they also reflected the death thereof ( not that you could see that except in retrospect ).  In an age where bitches and ho’s chop suey their way through legions of White Deplorables, it is tragic that some of the worst cinema from the 80’s is now reborn as much better viewing fare.  Oh, well.  It is easy to get confused, with FemNarrative blasting from Big Brothers speakers non-stop.  Just remember, we are no smarter than dogs.

  1. Good applicable carry over theory for Minion's usage in respect to tribe grouping or hermitage routing. All of the 3 percenters and beard boy operators that must be always rubbing up against fellow group members for their personal pack security blankeys to physcologically soothe those insecurities need to take head here. In todays perpetual argumentative and conflict based personal relationship postures and one upmanship attitudes, they will self destruct within most such groupings. They will all usually infight, by those who are corrupted by fake alpha posers and non supportive and disloyal memberships. Only a small group with those unspoken civic and social constructs in place and reinforced regularly will allow smooth management and cooperative successful group dynamics. Minions should assess any individual or groups capabilities in those personnel's conduct or "human resources" management firstly. This determination is way before being dazzled by some alpha leaders shooting times and scores or some group's racks of flir rifles and herds of grazing unicorn cavalry mounts. Make tribe up or hermitage route decisions wisely based upon these common human falabilities, which may become fatally directed towards you.

    1. Well said. And beware our natural inclination to be dazzled by Alpha's. It is ingrained in us, and if you can't smell out posers from the real deal ( hard for them to prove themselves to you in trial by combat ), you will be cannon fodder ( as well as financially sacrificed ). Kind of like with Jim Jones. Although, he was probably a real Alpha. Just not suited for those modern times he was in ( the deep state was still militant, without the banker boy financialization )

    1. After a hundred years of PC tainted studies, at least a few rational voices in the social studies are now heard. Or, at least, old ones now get shared more with the masses. Interesting theory-I hadn't run across that one.

  3. re:
book == THE SOVEREIGN INDIVIDUAL by a couple Brits including a 'Lord' with a capital 'L'

    It was recommended.
I didn't purchase it; I read the entire first chapter on the Amazon page.

    The authors make valid points.

    Warning:
The writing is quirky to the point of almost 'reverse psychology' awful. They stop just short of horridly-awful. And yet, I enjoyed the weirdness. Decent information presented badly can be useful.

  4. Is Jim ok?
Excuse me Mr. Ghostwriter, can you tell us when Jim Dakin will return as composer of "Bison Prepper" under the sobriquet of Lord Bison?
These most recent postings are lucid, clearly composed, subject matter is thoughtfully chosen, well structured and much improved in grammer and spelling. Quite the progress from late winter's postings.

Kidding aside. Well done Lord Bison.

    1. Only on good days do you get lucid and structured. "Meh" days you get rants. :)

    3. What makes you think I want minimize any pent up anger? Seriously though, while I agree with anyone's right to take any drug ( as long as I can shoot you if you become dangerous ), I'll stay away to protect my money maker, just as I stay away from alcohol. Concert pianists should not put their hands down garbage disposals and writers should stay off most mind altering substances ( coffee is on the approved list ).

  5. “And Cheney was a true Alpha.”

Yeah, but that fucker was more corrupt than hitlery’s tongue at an all girls boarding school :D

The ideal would be a benevolent alpha (Think Pappagallo from the 2nd mad max installment).

    1. I agree that Reagan was the last Good One. He had to play the rotten game but at least he tried to include us peons as well he could. The rest since just look at us as if we are speedbumps on the way to shop for hookers and blow.

  6. "...advance through loyalty rather than merit..."
    ==========

That was a major disappointment for me, and probably set the tone for my eternal disgust in everything gov't. I'm not alone. Of the 200+ doods I knew at permanent party in Germany only 2 reenlisted, the rest couldn't get out fast enough. Sucking dik and kissing ass isn't part of my game plan and THAT is the base for everything gov't. You can be a retarded as a bag of uncut dix and have lifelong employ with the gov't if you learn quickly how to suck the chrome off all the way off that trailer hitch.
