god given right 2 of 3

GOD GIVEN RIGHT 2
‘Muricans usually stay busy complaining about other folks having more than themselves, pointing a shaking finger at the 9% House Negro’s busy suppressing the rest of us on behalf of the 1% for a larger than normal share of the wealth, and yet at the same time they think nothing about having one vehicle per family member, one I-Pod cell phone plan at $150 a month per member, one room larger than most working poor houses seventy years ago per family member and one each mocha frappachino per family member per day.  You know why one adult could support an entire family back when you were busy  Leaving It To Beaver?  Yes, Union wages.  But also, actual budget restraint and a clear demarcation between needs and wants ( and no damn credit ).
*
Did we learn anything from the ‘70’s Oil Problems?  Hell, no.  We learned to hate the Sand Negro’s and how to justify killing them off if they got in the way of our oil ( the Yemen war fought by our butt boy buddies the Saudi’s, where there is quite the body count, is basically over our allies needing more oil to keep their production numbers from freefalling ).  If anything, we increased our panicked velocity in the opposite direction and doubled down on denial and frivolousness.  We looked around in desperation at any excuse to pretend the oil running out would never run out.  Hydrogen, being storage rather than a source was quickly abandoned.  Ethanol was great and we kept that illusion, but the numbers just weren’t there ( half the grain going to ten percent of the transportation fuel wasn’t much of a bargain ).
*
The real Illusion Machine was fracking oil, sixty year old technology that was never economical before when we had real oil to pump, came to its own once it was cheaper than Artic Oil or extreme deep sea drilling and provided the 9% with all the propaganda it would ever need ( even Yuppie Scum Survivalist Guru Rawles got his pieces of silver to push the message ).  We are saved!  Keep buying Chinese stuff!  Keep consuming at a mere 24.9% annual interest!  What a bunch of schmucks.  And you went to college for that level of independent thinking and logic?  I’d see about a refund.
*
Sure, we are energy independent when we now only import half of our oil rather than 75%, even though that extra oil is pumped at a lose when oil is selling at $100 a barrel, and even though that oil is a 3 to 1 EROI, rather than the 10 to 1 that is a minimum for keeping a first world economy barely on life support.  But you’ve heard me sputter and squeal about all of this before.  You choose not to believe me because it is too scary and because you are afraid of losing your Boy Scout prepper badge, which you earned after buying a case of MRE’s and an AR with FLIR scope.  Hey, I can only lead the horse to water.  If he refuses to drink there is little to be done for it.
*
But here is the thing I’m focusing on today ( yes, I can be distracted at the drop of a hat when it comes to Peak Oil.  My apologies, and full refunds of your subscription price are available on request ).  The financialization of our economy has been ongoing since at a minimum the 1970’s.  No news there.  But the exponential speed at which the Vampire Squid has been controlling and draining the economy is not appreciated by most.  Why do you think we had a housing bubble for as long as we did?  Who does it benefit?  Bankers creating money out of thin air, then charging interest on that ever increasing purchase price, perhaps?  But that is old news.
*
The new news is the complete capture of the economy using Congress as a rubber stamp ( if tinfoil hat news of widespread pedophiles among our rulers and rich is accurate, you know-pizza gate, and I see little reason to think otherwise since these people are literal swamp creatures [ what?  Hilary can bust a cap in anyone posing a threat revealing cattle futures fraud or similar, but she can’t be imagined to be turned on by watching Bill sodomize a thirteen year old female who is then killed and drained of blood for a youth rejuvenation treatment? ] and any dirt on them is the perfect blackmail weapon to get any and all banker favorable laws passed ).  The bankers stopped sharing the wealth in any form ten years ago.
*
The profit sharing tap was closed and welded shut.  Okay, it could have been before that, but if the economy took such a beating in the Tech Wreak that we had to go full Security State and Mid East War to save ourselves, they did a pretty good job hiding it.  Sure, in retrospect not being able to rebuild New Orleans amidst a national housing boom perhaps should have been a smoking gun of obvious proportions, but let’s be honest.  As long as we can easily get another job, none of us cared to look too closely under the microscope, not even the pure survivalists or most fanatical preppers.  That level of fear, loathing and paranoia was reserved for long bearded homeless guys holding up the signs of immanent demise.
*
But for the last ten years, it has been blaringly obvious.  And probably ONLY because jobs are scarce everywhere now and inflation is hard to miss.  Certainly not because we became more observant or smarter.  We’d all like to think that of course, but let us not hurt ourselves with back patting.  If the general populace is delusional and clueless, we are at least missing most clues and are trying really hard to hope the USS Titanic will stay afloat longer.  Myself included, and in theory I’m paid to do this crap a little bit better.  The scary thing is, I MIGHT be doing it better.
*
But back to the bankers making a grab for ALL the wealth.  We all look confused and ask ourselves how much is enough, right?  How many more mansions do you need?  You can only slop your Viagra stiffened member into one hooker at a time, in one hole at a time, and your deviated septum discourages using any more cocaine.  Well, think of it this way.  When there is a sale, an incredible sale of Biblical proportions.  Do you grab every single item off of the shelves, or do you ask yourself if you should leave some for others?  And don’t lie to me!  If Wally had a computer error and a case of boxes of rimfire were priced at twelve year old levels, you would elbow a little old man on a walker out of the way to buy all of the stock.
*
Why are the rich any different?  They don’t care that their actions will hasten the demise of the economy ( raising interest rates when only near free rates were keeping us afloat ), or even kill people ( jacking medical costs far above even what the 9% can afford, encouraging the Hospice Opiate Death Machine ), when even a blind man can clearly see that This Suckers Going Down.  If you and I can see the obvious crash, and that is through manipulated statistics and news blackouts, how much sooner had the bankers known of this and started cashing out their chips?  It doesn’t matter how delusional their prepping strategies are, the point is that they are leaving the sinking ship because they knew sooner and took steps to leave with the last of the recyclable metal from the house walls.
*
Okay, sorry, again with the detour.  I promise, tomorrow is all about oil being wealth and the bankers controlling the wealth and hence your best interest being served by minimizing your oil exposure.

note: I never cared for the guy as he seemed like an idiot ( not that I know for sure, just first uninformed impressions ), but censorship is bullspit.  Hollywood can depict Blacks gleefully slaughtering Whites, but Alex Jones at Infowars can't question 9/11?  Even the dingus swallowers at MailChimp, an e-mail service, thought it is okay to wipe their ass with the Bill Of Rights.  I subscribed to the Infowars newsletter even though I could care less about the content.  Think about doing the same-if he gets more eyeballs than before the conspirators ban it would be sweet indeed.

  1. People really need to Google great depression era photos to even get a sense of what you are saying about how people used to live.

Ethanol could be a larger contributor to the energy problem, if sewage lagoons were used to produce crops that can be fermented, but that would hamper the bailouts to agribiz and still not solve all of the oil problem.

I do look forward to your daily free book links, and urge you to carry on.

    1. Well, I would in principle be against paying BigAg, corporate welfare, but since I get much cheaper food and the "tax" money isn't even taxes but borrowed money we will never repay, meh. Thanks for letting me know on the book links.

  2. Oh yeah. I'm using the hell out of the free books.
Mostly rat holing for future consumption.
I've been reading the free one then following up with Kindle unlimited, as most of them are offered.

    1. I'd call you a full time reader, so if you are getting value from it I'm impressed.

    2. What can I say...seeing how I never watch movies and rarely anything but news on TV.
Do admit that I pass up most any of the Zombie stuff.
Television seems popular...maybe that's why Zombie crap is too ? As it seems that the tube turns folks into one.

    3. True, TV can melt the last of your brain cells if you watch too much. But as a genre, really, they aren't any less poorly written than any of the other PA.

    1. I shall carry on, enough of you seem really happy, so my efforts are rewarded. Thanks for not mentioning all the putrid swill you must forge through for the gems :)

  4. I use your links. We were reading a recent bok prior as a family, which lit a fire under all of us...again....we like to criticize books and tv shows as we go through them...and apply them to our lives.

    1. Ha! I do the same thing, but with a tolerant but unenthusiastic Old Lady just listening to me criticize tactics and logistics :) I love that wench!

    1. My pleasure. Just don't equate the messenger with the message ( poorly written, probably even by 1930's pulp fiction standards ). :)

  6. That was an interesting video you linked to. It all pretty much boils down to what everyone's saying "Run with what you've got". I think the guy missed the point of .22lr but I dig what he was saying about having to deal with some dude that doesn't GAF & is hyped up on drugs / adrenaline & can wear the damage. Which reminds me of some story (factual) I read. TL:DR version is some guy is discovered dead from close range damage (bash, stabbed don't recall) with a semi auto .22 rifle and spent brass beside his body. A short(ish) distance away they find another dead guy, this one is full of gunshot wounds of .22lr They assume the guys had a disagreement about something (I hazard a guess it was over which is better. Coke or Pepsi)

Guy A "Hey Bro! Coke is best"

    Guy B "Dude, Pepsi"

    Guy A "Coke!"

Guy B "That's it" Grabs his Mora knife

Guy A "Whoa! Easy Tiger" Grabs his Henry Pump 22lr

Guy B "LOL. That's gey, it's a 22 and won't do jack especially when I take this Protein Pill" Takes pill and starts running at Mr Coke

Guy A "You brought this on yourself" Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang "Ahh you're hurting me"

    1. I think his POV dictated his views on the 22, you're right. For the fatalities, I think the disagreement was over crack and ho's, though :)

  7. If you track down any gardening or skill development free books, that would be greatly appreciated. I still check out your suggestions, though I'm overwhelmed by the zombie offerings. Thank you for your musings, I read everyday.

    1. I haven't gone down the rabbit hole of non-fiction for a very good reason. From when I had Kindle Unlimited, I can tell you 99% of them are complete offal. They are summations of WikiPedia entries, a quick buck rip-off. They weren't even worth my time downloading and wiping from my drive.

    2. Reading helps, whether this blog or a book on gardening; but nothing teaches you like doing it, hands on, with skin in the game.

Recently lost half of my chickens due to hot weather. Been raising chickens for well over ten years. Didn't know that when it gets over 100 degrees it starts to kill the chickens and soft boil exposed eggs.

What's the phrase? Live and learn.

    3. Gore Warming Chicken Massacre! No, the phrase you want is, "hump me running". :)

    4. Portland is getting hot and full of smoke. Radio cautions listeners to watch dogs for excessive coughing/panting or cats with ANY panting. People can just drop dead with "good riddance" for lack of cautions.

If you like your old people, move them out of the sun, point a box fan at them and mix some gin in the water to encourage hydration. Extra lime.

Chickens, goats and rabbits need water, shade and a place to dig in when it gets too hot. A bushy fig tree will do this.

Afternoon is spent listening to James Brown and the Horns of Soul practice in my air conditioned cave. With 2.5 cent KW/hrs and 440/3-phase power, what's not to love in the pre-apocalypse fully-taxified collectivist utopia of Portlandia?
