know your enemy 2

KNOW YOUR ENEMY 2
*
note: rut-ro, Scooby! Entering a solar minimum, with historical comparison click here
*
Okay, so we eagerly embrace ignorance and simplified propaganda to hide our own sins.  We do NOT actually analyze the enemy as it might reflect poorly on ourselves.  We feel bad if we only live in an echo chamber of our own side, and so force ourselves to sip cautiously at the other side of the stream.  “Read the Lefties, to understand your enemy“.  Why?  All you do is elevate your blood pressure and confirm to yourself how wonderful the Right is ( which, ONLY entirely coincidentally I am most sure, also serves to excuse or minimize the problems of the right ).

*

You are bravely sallying forth to confront the enemy by “attempting to understand him”, yet all you do is refute your own sins ( minimizing by comparison ) and reinforce your own wise choices.  Okay, let’s role out the caricatures.  Joe Bob hates Hippy Scum Leftist Pukes.  Joe Bob isn’t your typical redneck-he actually likes to read ( you won’t notice the social stigma by Whites against learning as you do with Blacks-and it does reinforce the tribal aspects for the Blacks, so it is by no means ignorant-but there are always some backlash.  If nothing else, the choosing of Mudden’, NASCAR and watching football over visiting the library ).

*

Joe Bob reads the Washington Post, New York Times Book Review and a few Democrat ghost written autobiographies.  He tries to understand why Black poor people are different than him and other poor White people.  He even tries to read behind the lines on the Civil War ( attempting to give the Gott-damn Yankees the benefit of the doubt ).  Now, what has all of this accomplished?  He concludes that the enemy is illogical and uses straw man arguments to attempt to win the ideological war politically.

*

However, let’s talk about Joe Bob and the War On Terror.  He supports the military Over There, having been a Marine earlier in his life.  He doesn’t believe the Yankees about 9/11, but we are still Doing Good over in the middle east.  He doesn’t believe corporations are out to help him or His, but we also can’t just have a bunch of damn communists running the economy since that would be most unFree.

*

Any company making extra money off selling poorly made  weapons to the troops are excused because they are free market companies ( and it’s the Pentagon’s and The Officers faults-but Officers are good and there are just a few bad apples.  He isn’t sure why he never saw any good ones, but since Military Good, officers being part of the military must be also ).  He doesn’t recognize his own Straw Man arguments and illogical conclusions, does he?  All he can do is study in depth and conclude that any discrepancies in the system are still preferable to Communists, Lefties, Socialists or Welfare systems.

*

Now, all this is not to say we are all a bunch of Neanderthals, the males attempting to mate while in rut by jousting with their protruding coneheads.  We can very well be quite aware of our own mental gymnastics and blind spots ( training yourself to be self aware consistently might be another thing entirely ).  But is that enough?  As we all know from aging and gaining wisdom, academic awareness and true understanding are very different animals.  And even professionals supposedly studied in different cultures can’t navigate around their own paradigms.

*

When we are all blinded by a shared culture,  ignorance is a good thing.  That is how we are wired, The Other always being evil is a survival mechanism.  It is NOT natural to walk a mile in another’s shoes.  After all, the shoe owner is the enemy and will wait until the shoe gives us a blister and hobbles us ( cue in Steve Martin’s “Cruel Shoes” ) and then will attack.  And perhaps that is the number one problem with trying to empathize and relate to Lefties.  They want you to NOT hate.  How unnatural is that?

*

We see their very philosophy as an attack on us-not because we can’t share like socialists or give charity like communists, but because anyone who tells you it is bad to hate is stripping you of the defense mechanism against attack.  Hating The Other is mistrusting The Other and that is defending against The Other.  Lefties might as well be telling you not to be afraid of the pitch black savanna full of lions and tigers.  Even attempting to understand them is an exercise in lowering your defenses.

*

The same applies to trying to understand Moslems.  Anyone who attempts to do so is looked at as a Quisling.  Since, supposedly, and we really don’t know because we make no attempt at context or dissimilar culture understanding, they are encouraged and even commanded to hate and kill all Christians, and if you defend them or try to understand them you are part of their nefarious plans at genocide.  Strong inducement to tow the line hating the Muzzies.

*

Do I defend the Leftists or the Other Religions?  No more than what it takes to attempt to understand our own blind spots.   I want to have my cake and eat it, too.  I want to still hate them, as my tribe demands, yet also understand them-although only to the extent of a lab specimen.  Doesn’t that sound logical, or at least familiar?  How can true understanding happen in that kind of atmosphere?  There will always be folks you are fascinated with the enemy.  And perhaps they can shed some light on them to your benefit strategically ( which is a good thing ).  But perhaps not, as the decision makers work through their own bias.

*

Bottom line, more often that not you are not going to understand the enemy.  Don’t try too hard.  And if you do, it will be more mental masturbation than anything else.  Humans are simply wired to hate.  Males hate their own species, other males, but will hump any enemy tribe female, and females hate their own species, other females, but will gladly breed with enemy tribe males.  Hating other males makes eliminating them or surviving their attacks easier.  Hating other females, the same.  The only difference in the genders is that males fight to kill and females fight to dominate breeding.  Hate is good.  Understanding is overrated.

  1. There are two types of hate, the passionate seeing red illogical attack at all costs, and the cold harsh and iron clad malicious undercut the as the opportunity arises but carefully husband ones own strength. Both have their place, but the cold hatred is what one needs in the current environment, you can 'know thy enemy' through the lens of this hate, and even put this form of hate to the side while learning of the enemy in depth. The red hot berserker hate must only be used when on the battlefield and either clearly winning overwhelmingly or unable to retreat.
Cold hate is cold comfort but it is the hate one must have at this time, along with the ability to hide it and smile in the faces of your enemies while faking a pleasant attitude.

  2. You don't study the enemy to understand them. You study them to 1) protect yourself & 2) to destroy them.

History has plenty of stories about people "going native". I'm not saying the natives are wrong or bad. I'm not saying that other cultures are wrong or bad. Nor am I saying that "we" can't learn something from them. What I AM saying is that there will always be the "other". Pretending otherwise is foolish and can lead to your utter destruction.

When I realised this I started taking my cultures myths more seriously. The Australian mythology of Gallipolli is that the UK leadership threw Australians into the path of machine guns for no good reason.

For you Yanks it's that the Japanese bombed you for no good reason, the civil war was about ending slavery and you fought Hitler because he had death camps.

In the end it doesn't really matter. Your tribe has a shared belief system that differs from other tribes. That tribe is crazy because they believe their guy flew over the moon on a donkey but our story is totally legit because our guy *really* was the son of God.

I guess you have to stand for something or you will fall for anything.

Yeah I'm rambling. I'm not as eloquent because I don't have flowing locks of hair. Just anxious because Dingoland just experienced barbarian attack within my area of operation (car jacking by vibrants in an area I frequent)

    1. My main point of the article was that while its important to understand the enemy, we are REALLY bad at it. Everything you stated is true. I understand your anxiety. I know it is coming here ( well, it has, but I can't concern myself with other parts of the continent ), and that really blows because you either wait to be a victim of the foot soldiers or you fight back and become a victim of LEO's/military who protect their monopoly on force.

  3. Our biggest problem is our own government, actually it's the worlds biggest problem. Their greed and corruption to the core will never allow a war to be passed by.

  4. James, what gear do you tend to carry on your person most of the time? Do you carry a fixed blade knife, and are you right or left handed.

    1. I always carry a knife and a sharpener on the keychain. If I go out the fixed blade is on my belt on the right side ( right handed ). If it is winter and I'm bundled and walking the dog I have a sheath in my left pocket of the coat ( right hand has the dog leash ). So, I'm always with a sharpener and I'm always with a belt blade one way or another.

  5. Know your enemy is akin to being very cautious and a paranoid introvert. One must be on guard, operating in condition "yellow", with their head on a swivel like in high crime urban environments. It is difficult with p.c. dogma pervasively invading all forms of culture/communication. (Every thing has to have a feel good subplot, or message like the audience is children) your employer force feeds customer service down your throat for people who are really scumbags anyway till you have to puke it out with hard alcohol after work and on your weekends. Understand up front and keep it rule number one. Look out for number one -that's you! You have no friends, really. Family if they are functional and supportive can be included in your master plan. Consider all others suspect. That smiling face and friendly wave today could turn into hostile fire and actions on the turn of a dime when resources become scarce and the rule of law / rules of the game change. Daily I must assess everybody as potential threats, and the jackasses with sagging pants and gangsta swagger I cheer them on. "Keep wearing your uniforms, makes it easier for target identification later, buddy boy!" Harden your hearts, and hone your skills.

  6. Good points by 12:32. If I only knew as a lad what I do now, I would have ran my life entirely different. I think the first and most crucial step is to figure out some form of self employment that minimizes your exposure to the indoctrinated masses. Thanks to the feminists and the #metoo culture that they’ve created, it’s flat out dangerous for a man these days in a corporate environment. This will ultimately lead to the far more productive males being driven back into the trades, or at least the independent contractor gig economy. But inevitably, I don’t see how this will benefit the corporate environment in the long term.

Can you have a concealed fixed blade knife there Jim? I ask because here in the PRK you cannot, regardless of length. So my little 1 7/8” neck knife is illegal, unless of course I wear it outside of my shirt, which no one is going to do.

    1. Corporations don't do anything that benefits them past the quarter. Few restrictions here with knives, and we even have a reversed order of Cop Asshatedness ( normal 90% dicks, 10% decent-here it is the opposite ) so they don't harass and regulate with as much burning hatred.

    2. Hmm, I don't think worker productivity can make a comeback, not in corporations. Even if the PC culture is dismantled. The model is broken because the Oil Age is ending. Corporations are State partner, surplus energy creations.

  7. 'know thy enemy'
    ================

For me, that includes everybody that has not already proven themselves to be trustworthy, and that even has it's limits.

I'm friendly to all initially, but wary, as I'd rather have a friend than an enemy.

Seems everybody is in a pidgeon hole created by themselves and others. You're either left or right, dem or rep, religious or atheist, freedomist or communist, and so on down the line and everone is encouraged to speak their wrath so as to define their pidgeon hole to others.

The world is getting larger but from my perspective it is getting smaller, that is, my world consists of a radius around me. The more I find out about people the less I want to have anything to do with them.

Lying is the norm, now, and mostly expected by all.
I am not a bible-ist but I have read and heard a few things and now seems to be the Babel of the New Millennium.

Everybody's yappin' but nobody's listenin' and nobody cares.
So we stay hunkered in the hills.

    1. Every one is talking like they have something to say. The Internet allowing everyone to show how smart they are? Twitter made blogs seem like too much work. I guess this all just underlines how important a tribe under 150 people is.
