KNOW YOUR ENEMY

A well preached axiom
militarily is “know your enemy”.
Obviously, you need to know the amount of troops available for fighting,
those in reserve, the amount of resources available, and etcetera. Where is usually picks up speed on the way to
derailing is the “soft intel” aspect. We
don’t understand the enemy insofar as why he hates us and wants to kill
us. The obvious answer can’t be an
answer at all, obviously. Not even in
impolite company do you state the elephant in the room, that you want their
stuff and they don’t want to give it to you.
*
No one is going to send
their son to the military to “keep the merchants profits coming in, and those
dirty Huns want our profits!”. But if
those Huns were, say, bayoneting babies in Belgium ( the same Belgium’s who
were bayoneting Black babies in the Congo, but that was okay since it was the White
Man’s Burden ), then it is fine to give more of your money in taxes to help
kill your son. Not that YOU or your
government killed him, that was the dirty Huns.
Or, say, the oriental communists who would have owned an entire third
world rice plantation instead of half, killed your boy. Uncle Sam had nothing to do with it!
*
Obviously, the masses don’t
even need that great of an excuse. Any
will do. I mean, come on! Bayoneting babies? Who gives a rats ass? And, Korea?
At the time it was akin to some African country that just changed its
name for the third time to something weird ( Gabon-Gay Bone. Nigeria-N
Bomb. Guinea-Wop ). Who could possibly care? People aren’t completely retarded. They could, if they were so inclined, spot
the lunacy behind the excuses. No, they
chose to ignore it. The excuse was not
to excuse the actions of the government, it was to excuse the citizens as they
gave their consent to have the young killed to enrich the citizens ( or at
least keep them employed ).
*
And these are the kind of
people, those who would kill their own sons to keep their jobs, you trust to
not kill you in a civil war? Okay,
perhaps I give folks too much credit.
Perhaps they are dumb asses. Yet,
how much sense would that make? The same
guy designing the bombs for the war is then suddenly too stupid to see who
benefits in the war? A school teacher is
so wonderfully “public servant” and in charge of molding tomorrows leaders is
suddenly too stupid to see the war is unnecessary? No.
They are smart enough to know to cling to the official excuse so they
can excuse themselves from thinking, this time.
*
So, doesn’t it follow that
these same people also apply this measure of uncritical thinking to the
enemy? If we admit the enemy is deeper
in motivation that a bumper sticker statement, don’t we also then have to
explore our own excuses, motivations and self-delusion as well? So, in the end, what happens except that we
buy the official line, regardless of how lame it is? It is self preservation. To keep from going crazy, we choose to not
think. All Muzzies want to kill us
because we are Christian ( unless the Muzzy is Obamy, in which case he wants to
kill us because we are White Christians ).
*
We aren’t in the middle
east because we are desperately trying to keep the PetroDollar afloat, we are
there because Muslims Hate Us For Our Freedoms ( says the guy that took those
away with the “patriot” act ). Or
because our ally had Weapons Of Mass Destruction. Why was there no backlash to this ( other
than the obligatory blather of far left commies, who were only responding to
the Prez being a Republican, not because he was killing Little Brown Babies
)? Because, when it comes to freedom or
money, everyone picks money every time.
Immigrants aren’t coming over here for freedom, but dollars.

When the rabid right wing
AR toting Second Amendment aficionados licked Clintons bright red rectum rather
than revolt, it was because the economy was doing great ( and because of their
purchasing power, they were able to buy slightly modified versions of their
favorite poodle shooters-damn the costs! ).
And what is my point?
Simple. People cannot to honest
with themselves. How in the name of all
that is good and just could they be able to analyze an enemy and this
motivations if he can’t analyze his own?
*
There was your simplified
bumper sticker slogan to sum up this article.
People can do simple addition, preferably if the numbers don’t require
ones shoes to be removed. The enemy has
three divisions, pumps X million barrels of oil a day, has three divisions of
reserves of paramilitary police and two factories for munitions. Now, ask a hard question. What is their culture? What motivates them? You’ll hear crickets. Military analysts are blinding by their own
official excuses, so there can be no analysis.
It is just self serving propaganda for your own troops. They become, for all intents and purposes,
mere Political Officers.

When the human species was
in danger of self annihilation through thermonuclear war, instead of truly
trying to understand the enemy, we doubled down on our own bullcrap to placate
ourselves and the enemy. To maintain our
newly won empire, all we saw was a communist menace, not the fear and cowering
of an encircled enemy dreading a repeat of the Great Patriotic War. Instead of seeing a quacking of an elite
dreading a return of The Great Depression if military spending was ever
discontinued, they only saw a system wanting to overthrow the glorious Peoples
Revolution.
*
So, attention, tree
hugging Birkenstock wearing Volvo driving female armpit hair weaving granola
eating freaks of nature, if through our self reinforcing self delusions we were
willing to risk dying in a nuclear fire, why would you even begin to believe humans
wouldn’t risk dying in Gore Warming induced flooding if it kept the paychecks
coming in? Get a damn life,
already. Your puny god Gaia is nothing,
NOTHING, compared to nuclear hell fire!
And we spat in the split atoms face for another quarterly bonus.
*
So, returning to the
initial observation, or at least a purpose behind this article, humans natural delusional nature precludes
them from understanding their enemy.
Period. When we “read enemy
propaganda” to “understand our enemy”, we are doing no such thing. We are merely reinforcing our belief system
which protects us from reality. I’ll
continue tomorrow, just know now you don’t need to go read the latest issue of
Mother Jones.

Understand first, yourself. Then you cannot be defeated.
ReplyDeleteUnderstand next, your enemy. Then they cannot win.
I believe those are the quotes from Sun Tzu, or close enough. The average man in the field needs no such understanding - only the understanding of the orders of the commanders.
We in the USA always seem to see ourselves as the commanders. The actual commanders (TPTB) know this isn't the case and so ensure that we never REALLY pursue those two quotes - else we may see the real enemy is, in fact, not those dirty 'huns' but the immaculately clean suits who are pointing us at fighting the 'Huns'. ("Hey!, why don't you and him fight!")
I think the Elite of TPTB realize that the masses are the enemy and that the best (and possibly only) way to fight them is to turn the masses on each other...
The only reason it MIGHT be "different this time" ( for the elites ), is that we've never went through an oil age before. They might actually be as blind to resource contraction as the average Joe-having been dazzled for so long by their own Kicking The Can.
DeleteI think many of them probably are unaware of the true SCALE of what the draw down of cheap oil will mean. BUT what will happen is that they will just keep doubling down on what has always worked before - turning the masses against each other, and evacuating to distant shores for 'vacations' and 'conferences' etc. Only I think this time they will find themselves jumping from pan into sudden flare of fire, and have things go south for them suddenly with no warring that they are willing to see.
DeleteMy wounds must be most grievous and severe as I am already partially buried and totally still and quiet... ;-/
DeleteAnother element to the paradigm is now INFORMATION. With wiki leaks, net, insider data dumps. The elite/tptb (not the 10% straw bosses) are becoming exposed. You may have an envelope/package on your doorstep with details-profiles-locations-etc. Allowing easy ticket punching to occur with minimal effort or expenditure of resources. Stand by for orders.
