soviet soft collapse

SOVIET SOFT COLLAPSE
No, no, not a history lesson. Relax there, Matthew Math Nerd. Let's explore the possibility that we are in a designed soft collapse, modeled after the Soviet Union falling thirty years ago. Russian history looks interesting, but I've never delved deep into it, not even the 1990's. I have one book on the Steppe development and one on Napoleon's Full Retard invasion. And I think, perhaps, a history of Russian cultural history. But I haven't read them. After the grid goes down, I want some quality reading material, not just nickel paperbacks from library and book store clearances.
*
I believe the standard excuse for the Soviet collapse was “low priced oil from Saudi Arabia and excess capacity from Alaska and the North Sea lead to a collapse of their economy”. I don't know that I've ever bought into that theory, but I won't bore you with petroleum geopolitics. Because then I'd have to bring up oil depletion and you'd get all butt hurt and grab a flag and wave it vigorously and scream in orgasmic delight how Fracking Fuel Forever, and that would embarrass both of us. I think it was a Color Revolution myself, but little matter. What is important is how beneficial the collapse was.
*
Not to all the Soviet Army veterans who didn't get medical care, or those malnourished, or even to us, the dumbasses who created the conditions, as terror groups national or not were armed with nuclear weapons by unpaid active military personnel. But Big Picture, in the grand scheme of things, Russia shed excess population, she shed money draining colonies and she dumped her Growth economy. All good things in a world running out of resources. Now she is heading into the future sitting pretty.
*
So why WOULDN'T that be a seemingly winning formula for our elite rulers? Russia soft collapsed without civil unrest, she turned her economy and focus inward and is no longer dependent on exports as she had been ( IF she had been ). She got off of the Growth Uber Alles Crazy Train. Now she has plenty for her citizens. She collapsed early, avoiding the rush ( as did others, directly impacted by the demise of the Soviets, such as Cuba and North Korea ) and now is in less peril from Global Peak Oil, and probably, if applicable, Ice Age.
*
Over population was always the default plan of nations and empires. You get there first, with the most, and you rule. Get there second place, and you ARE ruled. But that doesn't apply, necessarily, to an Oil Age. Once sans oil, we will return to over population as a military strategy ( more soldiers, more farmers, win against the enemy and depopulate their land to continue supporting your numbers ), but until then all the machines that do all human labor need oil. Oil diverted to people food is oil the robots don't get. Don't you think there was a reason that trench warfare, firebombing cities and mass communist purges took place, other than “evil dudes, bro”?
*
Yes, because We Could, but also because killing your own people was, for the first time, largely consequence free. We don't NEED the surplus people, with surplus Clone Armies. As long as oil lasts, people are not profitable to the elite. And now that oil is falling in supply in most places ( REAL oil, not that fake crap selling for $4.89 a barrel up in Canada, or $10 up in North Dakota ), people are much more dangerous to the Hooker And Blow crowd. Not as far as revolution ( their decoys such as Bill Gates and Mike Bloomberg will be the fall guys as they stay hidden ), but as a waste of the resources.
*
You have to keep in mind that the Elites control the distribution and use of all the resources. Which means that not only is your food at the mercy of a Rothschild's living in a secret lair on the dark side of the moon, you are no better off than a Ornamental peasant being ruled by the ChiCom Party. You may think a garden makes you independent, but that is largely a false sense of security. It is certainly better than nothing, and a good start, but until you are absolutely 100% calorie self sufficient AND free of their financial control AND far enough away from city resupply and city dwellers of the enemy tribe persuasion, you are being controlled.
*
That doesn't mean Don't Try, it means Don't Delude Yourself. Anyway, almost all of us are Surplus Eaters. The elite have the infrastructure in place for Robot Labor. That is their wealth pump. Even if petroleum starts running out a heck of a lot quicker, they MUST stick with their wealth model. So instead of turning into land barons with serfs, they will eliminate 90%+ of the surplus population to keep the lower levels of oil enriching them. They cannot dream of using less oil, as oil feeds and rewards them and gives them control over us. They can dream of US using less of THEIR oil, seen with Al “I Invented Everything” Gore heating a 10k square foot house for two people, as he jets around the world telling us to cut back on our energy use.
*
A Soft Collapse, a huge chunk of population killed off by closing hospitals to non-Beer Virus patients, killing them of old age, essentially, and we are on our way to a starting thirty percent depopulation ( it will be more, as food is rationed and withheld, along with wages for winter heat ). It isn't to save on Social Security. It is to save on oil and food. Sorry, old humpers, you already had a good life. Now you must volunteer for euthanasia if you can't feed yourself in an underground home. Or if you need medication of any kind. More money, more resources to the elite-winning. Less of all of us-winning. If you boogaloo, think of juicy targets not just of the patsy communist party members, but the asswhores in charge of your early demise. Just saying.
ADDENDUM-low oil prices since I wrote this change nothing.  We didn't have enough oil to continue growth.  If we pump a lot less due to demand destruction, you still need less people around.

note: frankly, I'm flabbergasted.  I had no idea an Ivy League college President made FOUR MILLION dollars.  In salary.  In one year.  Even a podunk state university Prez is making near $900k.  And people pay tuition for THAT?  No matter, the model is dead.  Just an indicator of the rot and idiocy.

  1. Yes. There is many individuals or group entities that firmly are of the belief systems (secretly held notions, due to political correctness sensitivities) that there is no other possible equation to cure many of the systems ills than a marked elimination of population numbers. Whether it is racial or cultural purification, environmental reasons, resources demands, or just traffic commute woes. A critical thinker need not read Ted K manifestos to see around him the cause of problems and some easy solutions. There is indeed lizard brain mechanics that would certainly agree to helping snuff out other humans for their own self preservation necessities.

The three percenters are erotically aroused by Mobark wood chippers as a means of homo sapien removal, but that is too slow, noisy, and labor intensive. Bio warfare is the new force multiplier, supplanting outdated lame examples as flir rifles and unicorn cavalry tactics in effectiveness.

Expect more bill & melinda gates secret recipe eugenics flavored bat soup generously served up in your proletariat cafeterias. The main entree is yet to be served. Stay frosty.

    1. If Beer Virus is just a warm up to The Real Bioweapon Deal, I'm still not sure how worried I need to be.

I initially thought this as well but now I believe it won't be needed. There are accounts on Reddit (yeah, I know it's a liberal enclave) where 20-30 year olds have been suffering for as much as 7 WEEKS. They improve then relapse and they wonder if they'll ever kick it. Stressful to say the least. This would also explain the pos/neg test results, reinfections, etc. We still don't know enough about the "recovered" but what if true immunity isn't possible or maybe for only certain blood types. A weakened populace with HIV and no drugs available since they all come from China? Early on I read that CoronaChan has a TB component but that was from Rense, lol.

The importation of foreigners is not accidental leading to job losses, crowding, cultural divisions, etc to assist with the genocide. One thing is for certain...the Bolsheviks are behind this and back all the wars and the moneychangers making peaceful coexistence impossible. Same shit, different century. -RB

    3. With the food supply line break-downs, isn't that alone enough to assure our demise ( still wondering if it is a scare, or if it will keep getting worse )

    4. Consider this...1st round mostly affects the elderly, people believe it's a nothingburger, protest to reopen businesses and then get hit with the 2nd round whether it's baked into the 1st release, from mutation, or 2nd release like Mr. Stay Frosty says.
There will still be food available, just not in the quantities Americans are accustomed to nor at a price they can afford. Hyperinflation will take care of EBT cardholders. Those of us with country gardens will fare MUCH better like Orlov's friends and family after the collapse of the Soviet Union. -RB

    5. I'm marginally worried about inflated food prices, but there are rationing and price freezes. I worry more about the transportation and distribution ( we'll see if production is added to that list, soon )

  2. Shoppers alert for Minions. If a Minion is confounded on what to purchase with their .gov stimulas funds they should heed rawles the redoubter advisory and order up the trijicon acog 308 reticle optic to put atop their ar-10 unicorn ranch rifles. (About @$1,100.) Group standards approved too. (Snarky, yep) To think that collapse is game on now, and >other< bloggers are flogging queer gear at oil age price points, at this juncture of things is more examples of idiocy. Just saying, stay frosty and well under budget.

    1. Certain bloggers actually believe that Peak Oil actually won't even be a possibility until 2030, so OF COURSE there is plenty of time to buy a plasma laser in 30 watt range ( forgive me if I butchered that one slightly )

    2. "Phased Plasma Rifle in 40 watt range" is the actual quote. Here:

I've lost Terminator Nerd creds on that one ( I still think only the first movie is PA genre. #2 is all action movie, with just a glaze of PA. #1 is mostly PA with a sprinkling of action )

    3. Rawles. Now there’s a name that you hear dropped here every so often, but a site that I haven’t visited for many years. I actually started off there. I even bought an inline muzzleloader on his advice. (I forgot his arguments, but I didn’t regret the purchase. It was cheap, nice, with a synthetic stock, and has really quality open sights). That same gun today is still a bargain. (In case anyone is wondering, it’s the CVA Wolf).

I had never heard of this bison fellow, until someone over there trashed you in the comments section. I was already growing tired of that site, and the way that it sugar coated the Un-PC truth. So I came here. My first thoughts were “damn, this bison fellow isn’t very politically correct, is he?” And I’ve been here ever since :D (Circa 2008 I suppose)

  3. Primarily Russia opened its borders and cut loose all the satellite nation's . Which also allowed them to cut back on the huge standing Army. Free trade with the west opened up.

The US needs do a similar thing by withdrawal of all overseas expeditionary forces. That in itself might help balance the budget.
Still if we do not institute a rebuilding effort in base industry, we will fail.
Got way too many yuppie pie holes to fill, so COVID 19 helps out there too. This coming winter shall speak volumes as to our future...

    1. Either from greed ( the Elite don't share well ) or inability ( we'll lose both fracking oil and overseas oil ), I think we are incapable of rebuilding industry. I think this bitch is baked into the cake.

    2. You are probably right about our capability to rebuild Sir Bison. Mainly because the Deplorables have had too much of a taste of the good life for too long. The left will go along with anything in the name of security , to include depravation of standard of living. However the Deplorables are unwilling to change and will break out the poodle shooters with FLIR, to convince all of their correctness. With their gutless Donny clubfoot leading them forward to MAGA.

As an engineer I can see avenues of possibilities, but as a pessimist I too see little likelihood of that possible future.

    3. Look at the miracle of Nazi Germany. Not because of their politics, but because they were Germans. Ruined economy and barely any resources. And they built a pretty impressive country in very short time. Granted, much important infrastructure such as education was left in place, but there is no denying the accomplishment in he face of hostility from all sides. Well, we ain't no Germany. We might be fascist, but so were the Spanish and they did Jack Crap. If we had the culture we could easily rebuild. I focus on resources, but really, they are secondary to culture.

    4. I think you hit that nail right on the head Lord Bison. As a kid in the early 70's we were all part of "The Great Melting Pot" and I had friends in all different sizes, shapes and colors. No PC-BS, nobody trying to out-victim each other, and only two, yes TWO genders. Yes, we had deadbeats and dipshits, rednecks and city slickers, wackos and weirdos but we all "identified as" Americans. We may have been brazen and deluded but we had a culture. Once the hyphen became part of the PC lexicon, it was the beginning of the end. We used to have a few China Towns, a little Italy here and there, but those places were full of folks that were GRATEFUL for the OPPORTUNITY to be American in spite of trying to make a few bucks off the culture they brought with them. Now, everyone seems to want the benefit of being IN America, but nobody wants to BE American... It's weird to live in one place your entire life, but have no recognition of it. Whatever American culture WAS, I haven't seen it in a very long time. I say we start by banning the hyphen when used in conjunction with American. Is you is, or is you ain't American? If you think, "well I LIVE in America, but I really feel more like a (insert other nationality here)", that's fine by me, just don't think for one second that gives you any special privileges or rules about how others engage with you. In a nutshell, if you love your culture, keep it, just STFU about ours that you know nothing of and have no vested interest in.

Ok, guess Im having one of THOSE days. I'll be climbing down from my soapbox now...

  5. We've got the same opportunity now, as ever - to be good men, and encourage and support the same in others. If we can satisfy ourselves that this is our primary calling, then all the other stuff, come what may, will be taken in stride. To live in the company of honorable men, and be among them. Work for this and your life will be satisfied.
