boy that cried wolf

BOY THAT CRIED WOLF
I had a minion suggest an article to me on the possibility that the seemingly orchestrated discrediting of those warning of disaster might be an actual campaign. It would have made a decent article, as he had lots of juicy Y2K details ( having been in the programmers guild and witnessing scary details never shared with the public. He reminded me that the biggest preppers for the event, buying food, guns and gold were computer nerds ). And it seemed like I might be able to make a case. Perhaps “the watchmen” were highlighted as incompetent to lull the public to sleep.
*
Of course, if that was the case, it worked TOO good, nobody giving a wet rank crap about the planet burning to a crisp, least those jetting about the globe to warn us that Saint Greta might be one of the casualties of said Chinese manufacturing. Does anyone actually stop driving, or buying Chinese shoes or underwear? Or are they buying their secret underwear at the same shop that Romney does? If we weren't supposed to listen to unapproved prophets, are we listened to the approved ones? Did enough Blockbuster customers rent “An Inconvenient Truth” to pay off Gore throwing the election, or was that just a corporate subsidy to the cause?
*
Now, to be clear, said minion is not an ignorant cracker with a head full of conspiracy theories. Unlike myself ( there, I saved you from having to ask the question ). This was just a hypothetical. An amusing game of “I Wonder...”. Doesn't it seem likely that Y2K was all about discrediting those worried about collapse? After all, the media went bat crap crazy over survivalists long before Ruby Ridge and OKC. All domestic terrorists were, and still are, White Supremacist Survivalists.
*
According to the current Correct Think, we never had Black terrorists or Puerto Rico terrorists. Just Racist terrorists. When we did have OtherColor terrorists, they were oppressed peoples liberators, and never hurt anyone ( this rewriting history is fun! Too bad the Soviets were one of the shortest reigns an empire ever had. That had NOTHING to do with denying reality or biology or the laws of physics ). I'm not trying to pimp for White Power here, just pointing out the hypocrisy. Which I would normally applaud, as it is a tribal survival mechanism. Every group is xenophobic. Can we PLEASE stop calling it racist?
*
( A Fun Filled Fact. Last night I watched “Green Room” with Patrick Stewart on Netflix. Damn good movie. The left propaganda was VERY subtle. I applaud them for the extra effort. You barely pick up on the Girl Power or White Racist message. Now THAT, people, is how it is done. Don't hit us over the head with it, let it be gently planted to fester )
*
Obviously, the water carriers for the elite are the furthest thing from subtle, the above exception proving the rule. The media is far from subtle, although I really don't think they believe themselves to be propagandists. They are True Believers. They actually thought a brain dead reincarnation of Pol Pot was a great idea. Much better than a brain dead Yes Man for Rothschild's interests. To you and I, they are the same candidate, just different hair colors and genitalia. To the media, there actually was a difference, because White Man Bad, even those on your side.
*
The other Bitch Boys for the bankers, government and corporations, are so unsubtle that it is amazing. They merely command their dictates be followed under pain of economic banishment or prison with AIDS. They just flipped the script one day and pretended it was never any other way. Of course, it seems like this is recent, and they do employ gradualism, but they've never pretended to be much of anything other than progressives for over a hundred years ( one of the few things mental midget Beck gets correct ).
*
My point here is that we are hit over the head constantly with demands that we align with our betters in our Right Think. I'm not even sure that anyone is capable of interpreting subtlety. As soon as a target is identified as a threat to the system, all avenues of power rush to share with the masses what an unholy cross between the devil and Vlad The Impaler these people are. So, yes, everyone is discredited. But it isn't a design that is conscience of individual threats. It isn't reactive. There isn't a committee saying, let's stop people from listening to doomsday prophets.
*
It is a blanket reaction to anything that isn't in alignment with the ideology of centralized power. That is about as deep as the distinction goes. No central bureaucracy needs to perceive a threat, like the Soviets did. Our system is comprised of useful idiots that act on their own initiative. They drank the Kool-Aid and willingly shrilly announce a warning to all their other cult members. If one of the funding sources budget in their cause, it gains saturation coverage. Think, the Jewish Victim trope recently getting beat like a dead horse. Or, the sudden Celebrity Monster campaign that built up to Epstein's “suicide”.
*
He had way too many secrets and money was willingly thrown at that problem. Too bad Cosby et all were collateral damage. Dollars to donuts the whole thing is now over. Again, a central committee didn't fund that campaign. All you need is one person in power to fund the next outrage, and it gains traction. Global Warming was never an issue in the spotlight until Gore picked that as his reward. Think of all this as a decentralized guerrilla war. Tactics that succeed get passed on to other cadres, and when that tactic gains a voter approval by money ( just as those betting sites wager of future events-when money is on the line, all the bullspit like party ideology falls away ) it becomes part of the platform.
*
We love to apply the “communist” label, but our pretty little power structure is not communism or socialism, it is an oligarchy. Communism would stifle incentive and individual imitative. The minions supporting our One World Banker Red Shield might think they are communists ( at its simplistic Marxist classroom level ), but all they have to do is fight for democracy and central government and all the gears work together.
*
Let's look at survivalism. A lot of guesses have been made as to why these people have been demonized. We represent Individualism, or we threaten the system by self-reliance, or love guns. All that would be true, of course, but I think it was as simple as a liberal journalist ( but I repeat myself ) getting wind of a meeting of White Supremacists who thought the world would end in nuclear hellfire. A liberal thinks of centralized governments as literal gods, and the government knew best how to never have a nuclear war, because the government always protects and rewards its Kool-Aid drinkers. So obviously those people were wack-a-doodle. What a great article they could write!
*
Only nut jobs believe they must take care of themselves, because the government always knows best ( Nixon was not a lesson that you couldn't trust government, but rather that you couldn't trust Republicans ). So survivalists were obviously unhinged. So of course they thought other silly things like the races were best served by staying separated ( I don't care if you want to cut off gals clits, or sacrifice a goat on Sunday. Just do it in your own Turd World country. We white folk have enough problems of our own here ).

  1. Green Room was much better than I thought it would be. I wouldn't have watched it myself, but was over visiting my sister and the brother in law was watching it.

Everyone used to be a prepper, they prepped for winter every year. Now they have been programmed to just depend on the supply chain.

PC politics is tribal politics, pitting one against the other. For those counting on government help, just look at Puerto Rico. Whole warehouses found full of hurricane relief supplies rotting away so the orange man bad narrative could be established.

Crazy white survivalist came about with the help of a few idiots to let the other tribes have an outlet to vent after the same situation develops here. It is no accident Homeland Security sent a memo to it's people to store at least six months supplies. My guess is that is how long they plan to stand back and let things happen before they even try to put pieces back together.

Currently I find this coronavirus thing interesting. China seems to think it is something, everyone else is acting like it is the common cold. Time will tell, but seems like another desensitization ploy either way to me. A Kung flu tactic maybe.

    1. Everyone may be acting uninterested as if the Beer Virus is just a common cold, but look at all the barnyard flu scares the last twenty years. Virus Doom Porn. Not saying they are right, but it is understandable

    2. I would buy into the official narrative of coronavirus just being another mildly troublesome infection.
But, the reaction of the Chinese government - declaring a whole province under quarantine (and, tellingly, letting favored elites escape before the lockdown begins), imposing draconian measures on those infected - I dunno, when a government puts its already-shaky economy under stress, I tend to believe that there's a reason why.

    3. My thinking is that this is an attack by China. Disrupt the supply chain, crash JIT, push the US with its imploding derivatives off the cliff. Series of articles starts next Monday.

  2. "...we threaten the system by self-reliance..." -Lord Bison

Absolutely correct. This is why debt is their biggest mechanism to control the population. When you have no choice but to get up everyday and hop back on the gerbil wheel, there isn't much time or energy left over to fight back against their system.

    1. And debt is pretty sweet that the prey volunteers, demanding to participate.

    2. That's right. The Minion and accolyte deplorable castes are low to the ground and nimble with street smarts. They transition more often or earlier to red pilled discernment abilities. They get out of debt, or can manage debt deftly even through recessions and pressures. That ability makes them the least tamed and more prone to go wild horses rogue at the drop. Smile as you culturally become the boogey man in the closet metaphor to scare kids straight. Wear the worst stereotypes like a friggin badge of honor.

      Stay the more frosty.

  4. Fret not Lads. All of the demonizing can be a physchological warfare gambit in your favor. The peons and proles will be conditioned to be cautiously fearful and avoid conflict contacts with those hardcase deplorable types.

Just be that pick up truck driving, beer drinking, curse word every fourth utterance thorn in society. Screw 'em, it is your turn to become the militant malcontent out there in indian country. Soon women will more grok the benefits of K type alpha deplorable traits and be freaky lusting Minionite types and not just because of superb hair grooming. Go Wolverines!

  6. First, I love all the mentions of movies, because movies are out of my budget. Generally, any movie mentioned has a Wikipedia entry, plus all the reviews I care to read, out there on the net. My internet may not be fast enough to upload video or audio or watch movies in better than 640x480, but it can handle still pictures and text.

Back in the 70s when I was a kid, where I was, movies didn't make it out there until months, maybe close to a hear, after they'd come out on the mainland USA. MAD Magazine was 40c cheap, and always had two spoofs of movies, with a nice sandwich of cartoons inbetween. I could not afford movies then, either, but by buying MAD (OK getting my mom to buy me MAD) I not only had an idea what other kids were talking about when they discussed movies, but had some pretty sarcastic takes on the movies too, which made me seem really clued in.

I wonder if the publisher ever realized this. MAD was indeed cheaper than grown up magazines; it was sort of halfway between a magazine and a comic book in price, and I think they were able to keep it cheap because they owned their building in NYC or something. But let's put it this way: Rich kids were not buying MAD. For every poor kid out on an island with 1000s of miles of ocean between myself and Hollywood, were probably several other poor kids out in the Midwest or somewhere, who also depended on those movie spoofs to not be "square".

    1. I never thought of it that way. I saw movies every weekend-that was where my allowance went ( I earned that sumbitch, ten acres of garden, orchards, chickens, boarded horses, etc ). We were lower middle class, but still middle class.

  7. Secondly, I'd like to mention that smart people often believe really stupid things, and computer nerds might be considered "really smart" in the trailer parks but really, they're book-smart. No, not book-smart in the sense of someone who's read every survivalist book, books on actual real-world plagues and wars and so on, but book-smart in that they know things about the Pentium processor that the people who made it don't even know, but are really fuzzy on the difference between the Romans and the Greeks, and are pretty sure Japan was on our side in WWII.

My boss is an example. He voted for Trump, because Trump's gonna get rid of the brown people - like his Mexican wife and half-Mexican kids - I guess. He believes the old fable that if you make more, boosting your tax rate from say 18% to 22%, ALL your money gets taxed at 22%. He's got goddamn diabetes and spends more on drugs than junkie, yet I can't convince him that if he didn't eat huge stacks of pancakes at breakfast and lots of bread at lunch, he can wean himself off of the needle. (Type II diabetes can be largely mitigated with a low-carb diet.) He was taught sugar+carbs == doubleplusgood and that's it.

So holding up computer nerds as "really smart people who therefore will really know the score" is pretty funny.

    1. My point was that they were intimately familiar with the bugs in the code, hence knew more about the dangers than any of us, who only got their information third hand. They could be utter retards outside programming and still be a good indicator on the true dangers.

  8. "Cops" at one time was pretty hilarious. My favorite episode was the one with a black gal and a white guy who were neighbors, and it was the usual tit-for-tat stuff, each one was sure the other was causing all kinds of problems, and when they were interviewing the black lady in her living room, she had this noisy parrot, and she said about the parrot, "Oh, I call him Hitler".

How old is that damn show anyway?
