Rawles has an assumption that when those absolutely essential semi-automatic plastic carbines are banned, all heroic gun owners will spring forth with renowned vigor and smite the evil feds, targeting judges until all unConstitutional gun laws are abolished.  Sigh.  This is wishful thinking, at its best.  Just because your readership seems to think the Constitution was put there to protect them doesn’t make it true.  I think with my size 11 boots I should be irresistible to all women, but it turns out only a small percentage can handle the idea of my prowess.

I ended the last article by covering the mistake thinking that the military will stay safely overseas while the square jawed militia battle the SWAT teams in the streets.  Not because the elite will panic and screech in fright and quickly call home our boys in uniform, but because as the oil supply contracts and our control over it slips, and let’s not forget also, when our economy implodes, we will have no choice but to NOT occupy the oil and oil trade routes overseas.  Gun ban or not.  This is what you get when you believe the Glen Beck 300 Year Fracking Oil Bonanza paradigm.  Already, before the article barely gets started, you see a fatal flaw rendering all subsequent math incorrect.

I haven’t repeated my standard line about how gun control would never happen, because food control is so much easier AND has the infrastructure already in place ( hello!  In energy contraction you do NOT build new infrastructure.  You use the old, regardless of shape or desirability ).  I’m just refuting Rawles math.  And assuming they actual try gun control.  Stranger things have happened.  I won’t even bring up how the Constitution was a coup de tat by the federalists to trash the Articles Of Confederation and start replacing state rights with central dictates.

And, yes, I understand that the majority of military personnel today are extremely worthless.  PC staffing had already been well established in my time of service, a casualty of an all volunteer force ( enlistments numbers are down-quick, let the feminists enlist by treating them like the princesses they are ).  Not to sound unduly harsh, but those that should have stayed police matrons were given equal responsibility in LEO and security and those that snuck in under minority preference whose IQ’s should have disqualified them for anything other than janitors also were entrusted to combat the Red Menace.  I’m sure things got even worse after the Specialist ranks were abolished and now anybody and everybody could become an NCO.

But even here Rawles makes the fundamental mistake of believing that all militia revolutionary combatants are equal, so I’ll just level the playing field and assume all members of the military are GI Joe material.  You do understand that just because someone owns a gun that they don’t necessary know how to use it, can use it off the range, or want to use it, right?  This is another huge mistake.  Not all semi gun owners will fight to keep them.  He assumes such.  And then he backs them up with hunters, whom he counts as snipers.  If even half the hunters were as good as he assumes, there would have been no deer left to procreate ( I’m tongue in cheek, here.  I know about bag limits and such )!

I should cover the prohibition on troops conducting police action in the continental US.  The ban has been so weakened it is almost like “banning” torture.  Sure, we never condoned torture.  We just changed the name and definition.  If the folks in charge want army troops on the street corners, they shall have them.  Moral and just do not make the laws, Might Is Right makes the laws, and the jag offs in DC have been ignoring their own laws as long as they have desired.  Does nobody remember Hilary Clinton?  The elite have as much respect for their own laws as they do for “your” Constitution.

And why does he assume ANY ban will be met with deadly force?  A PARTIAL ban generated nothing but civil disobedience last time.  It got fat guys wheezing around a mouthful of chew to tote out the only unbanned semi, the SKS, and call themselves a militia, which in two months time had more undercover intelligence officers as members than actual civilians.  Does nobody read history?  Or is it mostly just too obscure?  Subversive movements were occupied by the authorities in the Sixties.  Why was it assumed the militia would stay safe?  Your Constitutional activists is the feds terrorist.

If the federal government enacted a California type ban, tax and registration drive, do you really think the “pry it from my cold dead fingers” crowd is going to revolt?  They can still get their precious semi-auto’s.  Perhaps they are restricted as up in Canada, five round limits and such, but they are available in some form.  Only a 100% ban of all existing guns has a chance of actually seeing armed resistance.  Would the feds be that silly?  Rawles thinks so, and I can’t disagree because those are some dumb ass crackers.  But isn’t there a very good chance only a partial ban would be enacted?

People don’t say “oh, they just took my semi.  My bolt action hunting rifle will be next.  I’d better fight for my right”.  No, they say “well, IF they next ban my hunting rifle, THEN I’ll fight”.  People did that the last time.  “Well, they can ban my semi, but I WILL, pinky promise swear, fight if they ban anything else!”.  Yes, this time it is a bit more serious as the Other Colors have been giving permission to Kill Whitey, and if there is one thing White America is afraid of historically, it is the Blacks rising up.  No one reads history, but they all sure seem to know about the Haitian Slave Revolt.  NOTHING and I mean nothing, is as guaranteed as white fright of Other Color.  It has been used to control us nearly forever.

But really, would the elite in their most panicked reaction to anything let that horse out of the barn?  I don’t think so.  The elite may not fear Other Color, as the entire security apparatus of the country is dedicated to keeping them isolated from the effects of their own policies, but they DO fear The Poor.  They know better than to allow the poor to mass and oppose them.  Anything is possible.  Nothing is off the table.  But probabilities need to be assigned to any possibilities.  Plus, all well and good to assume the worst.  Get your 80% kit even if you never use it.  Just don’t do faulty math in your head to delude yourself.
