retraining, sir!

RETRAINING, SIR!

We just talked about needing to turn your family, blood and extended, into your tribe as the least worst choice.  Unfortunately for you, their quality blows.  They simply suck.  Their attitudes are poor, their physical and mental shape is for crap.  They have no focus or drive and their skills are marginal at the very best.  This has been a problem since the 1960’s, even though it keeps getting worse.  Hey, you want to give everyone disincentives to even try, don’t be surprised at the results.  Why marry?  That is just a female meal ticket.  Poor sex, begrudgingly granted at long intervals, and a half to a third of your life supporting kids you can’t see.  Why support a crotchety old bastard of a parent?  They were paid to divorce and raised you poorly, and then they are wasting all your Social Security ( that you’ll never see ) on stupid crap like golf or paying rent at 70 ( no incentive to invest in a debt-free shelter during their working years ).

*

Why go to college?  Forty grand for an obsolete skill with unemployment at worse than Great Depression levels?  You’d be stupid to go to school to un-learn.  Why even buy a car?  Starting at twenty grand and quality for crap, you make monthly payments equal to what rent or a mortgage was just years ago, for seven years, then start all over again.  Why work?  Rent takes half, IF you are in management ( three quarters to all if you are minimum wage ) and they want you to spend another quarter on health “insurance” you can’t use.  Not a lot left over for food.

*

Are you surprised at peoples attitude today?  Really?  Did you perhaps think they might be the smart ones?  The Hippies dropped out and refused to pay the Military Industrial Complex in taxes ( back before we just charged everything on the No Trillions Limit credit card ) or blood.  Those patriotic kids who went over to Vietnam to lose limbs or lives?  Noble, but sad and pointless.  Sometimes rebelling against convention saves your ass ( I have no problem with sacrifice, when it is for the tribe.  Not for the nation state elite who are colonizing, not defending ).

*

Which is pretty much what you see today.  A mental rebellion against everything that encompasses our system exploiting the peasants to enrich a few barons.  Hey, I’m not saying don’t work and don’t spend.  I’m saying you should be able to understand why many don’t want to.  They labor for nearly zero benefit.  And you should even be able to understand why they don’t care that the whole civilization is collapsing.  Things will just keep getting worse so they wallow in their electronic wonderland as the modern equivalent of their head up their ass.  Like a kid throwing a blanket over his head.  If he sees no monsters, they can’t see him.

*

Of course, one unfortunate side effect of this, however well justified, is that part of denial is doubling down on the system that is failing.  The planet will be unlivable if we keep consuming, but it already passed its turn back point, so you might as well consume like crazy and enjoy it while you can.  Why horde the liquor for  later medicinal purposes ( pulling a tooth, pulling a bullet ) when it is better just to drink it all every night and die in a drunken stupor when your time is up, instead.  This leads to extreme waste and apathy about waste.

*

These are the kind of rural neighbors you have who clog up their septic by using too much toilet paper, then stick a hose in their filled up tank to bring up to the surface and overflow to dispose of all that paper.  Never mind a few turds get loose.  Then they go to brush their teeth and put so much paste on the brush it oozes out whole, not even having room to foam up.  They over serve their meals and toss half of it, having been full of Dorito’s and dip two hours previous as they binge watched the new normal Nighttime Soap Opera that is 95% of TV today ( many are really good.  Like Breaking Bad or Sopranos.  Some are like Beverly Hills 90210, the original ).

*

All this sloth and gluttony and waste are just symptoms of the collapse.  They are understandable.  But they also train your new tribe in very bad ways.  They will show up to your place with all these engrained bad habits.  They will, literally, go through your five years of toilet paper in two months, eat your years worth of food in three weeks.  Clog up the septic, dry up your well, kill off the chickens by neglecting to put then back in the coop at night and “have fun” teaching the girls how to shoot and use up your Forever Gun rimfire the first two weeks.

*

If you don’t vastly underestimate your family and in-laws, thirty years of stockpiling is gone in mere months.  They don’t know what Not Eating The Seed Corn even means.  It isn’t that they don’t care about their survival, it is that they grew up with Other People solving all their problems and making their choices for them.  If they haven’t given up on being productive even before they became adults, they learned how to do so through being cheated and beaten down enough.  On their own, they won’t give two craps, nor even try.  You cannot, and let me repeat this in case you are confused, CAN NOT!, assume they are anything other than spoiled children.  Do not leave them to their own devices.

*

They will need to be retrained.  Do NOT wait for them to piss away your supplies.  They need to immediately be punished for the slightest transgressions.  I hope you are strong enough to kick all the males asses.  He doesn’t immediately hop to the chores, ass whopping.  His wife or kid doesn’t hop to their chores and show enthusiasm and drive and initiative, kick his ass again, not theirs.  This is just like boot camp.  Punish the squad for failing to force the trooper to comply.  Let the others enforce your discipline, under threat of punishment themselves.

*

Don’t give them supplies to waste.  Keep under lock and key.  Give each one a weeks worth and if they piss it away they do without until next week.  That includes food.  That shouldn’t even be an issue if you control the access to that.  But, again as with the military, you aren’t directly controlling things but indirectly.  You are retraining discipline in general, not assigning a supervisor over every person every minute.  Punish the head of each unit for failure of the unit and let them do the enforcing and disciple.  If you do it any other way you see a revolution and are living outside your own home.

*

First a general lecture and written instructions.  Next a warning with punishment.  Last, a literal physical assault.  Pain is the only true way to reassign mental pathways.  If you don’t retrain these hogs to work hard and avoid wasting, your resource base is dingus before the die-off is even complete.

  1. Looks like Kurt Saxon has been living in a nursing home for some time now Jim. Last I had heard, he was still living in a small town in Arkansas. He’s about 85 now. I’m sorry to hear of this. Those places are basically the final stop where you just sit around waiting to die. An excerpt taken from the 2015 newspaper article below:

    ‘Bomb’ taken from Alpena house

“Neighbors said that it had been at least three years since Saxon had gone to live in a Harrison nursing home. They described him as a good neighbor who occasionally blew up things. They were never big explosions, the neighbors said. Saxon just wanted to see if his experiments worked. Saxon always claimed that he never did anything that couldn’t be found by going to the library and looking it up.”

    1. Netflix had a documentary ( still might, couldn't say for sure ) about the guy who wrote The Anarchists Cookbook. He got all the information from the New York city library.

    2. I’d be willing to bet that you can’t find that kind of information at a public library anymore Jim. Most did away with anything controversial or non-pc. I recall that a few years back, they removed one of the little house on the prairie books, because there was a reference to a minstrel show in one of the chapters.

But I’ll bet you can still find a copy of “Heather has two mommies”, “Daddies roommate”, or “The joys of anal sex”, by Richard Simmons (Okay, I ad-libbed that last one, but you get the picture 😀 ).

    3. Our library went Full Retard a few years ago. The entire reference section, other than a few pro-empire ones, were purged of anything interesting. For instance, where you would have seen The Earthship books, now you see picture books on landscaping your trophy home. It all went Yuppie Scum Pentrist Projects ( the site on DIY projects, Pintrist, spelling unknown ). It wasn't censorship per se, just lowering the entire library down to Lowest Common Denominator. Why budget cuts prompted that I'm not sure, except they were making all the books Coffee Table and boosting the DVD section to get non-readers inside the doors and puffing up user numbers.

    4. I believe that the recipe for making LSD in the anarchist cookbook makes people go loopy

On youtube there's videos of people showing anarchist cookbook experiments.

That doco on the author was quite interesting. I thought the journalist was quite unfair and that's coming from someone that hates commies

    5. I wouldn't trust much from the Cookbook. I didn't get it for recipes, but for being anti-establishment, which had been the authors intent anyway. He was a typical Hippie, thinking enlightenment frees your mind. Not sure how much I believe that anymore, as it seems more like self-brainwashing to embrace the suck. But I like that they wanted to overthrow the system. Too bad they failed. Then turned greedy corporate humper to help imprison the new generation.

  2. Always like your out look on the state of marriage in the USofA.
I was just a young punk in the 60's when all the femi's started the up roar for equal rights including changing the divorce laws.
Only a dumb ass "boy" or man would get married now. It only benefits the "female" (if you can call most of them that) Just try and ask for a pre-nup while you are the bait for their Starter Marriage.
Here in California it has been common for the last few years that the she-devils are now getting 70%!!! of every thing.
Better to get a whore every now and again to quell the urges. (make sure you coat your self in Latex) In the long run you will save tens of thousands of $.

    1. I love how the federal laws limiting excesses such as California's are working out so well :) All the lawyers are on the Lamp Post List!

    2. Speaking about pre-nup. I heard they expire after 10 years. That Hollywood pervert (yeah I narrowed it down there didn't I?) Weinstein, well his wife left him. They'd been together for, you guessed it 10 years

    3. I hadn't heard that. Sounds like a neat trick by lawyers.

  3. Family will break your heart, and your soul, every time. Bet on it. They know your tender places and ain't afraid to stick in. I've been estranged from most of mine since I was 19 and joined the army, and now I'm 62 and the condition's the same, except for our son down in Florida. Both parents are dead and my brother and sisters email now and then and that's fine I suppose. Communicating with them now is sort of like communicating with strangers.

Our son is the weak link in the chain. He's addicted to his wife's split tail and she's an absolute bitch. How he doesn't see that in her is beyond my imagination, and she's enormous maintenance. I guess she's a good screamer late at night and can spit golf balls across the room as well as suck them through 50' of garden hose.

My wife is addicted to the 3yo grandbaby and that is how the chain works. My wife - grandbaby - our son - daughter in law.
If they come knocking on our door when the bottom falls out I'll leash her ass to a tree with a gag installed and if anybody else runs their mouth about it there's plenty of trees around here and no shortage of rope. I'm too dam old for a broken ass heart.

    1. Having been in a few relationships where the little brain does the thinking, it is easy to ignore what you are seeing. I don't even think the sex needs to be all that good, just a few episodes of above normal keeps the flame of hope alive.

  4. Have you ever heard of this Ken Gronbach joker Jim? This dude is making some pretty wild predictions, as he did the last time I heard him as a guest on this show. He actually went as far as to say that there’s no way that we’ll have another repeat of 2008, and that things are looking great for as long he will be alive (I don’t know how old he is, but I think he threw a number out there to the effect of another 30 years). I didn’t want to fill your comments section with a lot of garbage, so I only included a small sample below. The thing is, it’s been said that practically all of his predictions have been spot on. I try to view things with an open mind, but this dude has to be on some far better drugs than I have ever had access to!

“Gronbach began with a discussion of China/ North Korea/ U.S. dynamics and how population is the driving force behind the strength of nations.”

“He also sees the millennial generation (which is bigger than the baby boomers) fueling massive economic growth in the years to come.”

“Conversely, Gronbach predicts that the U.S. economy will grow so quickly in the next decade that "we are going to need all the robots we can make" because there won’t be enough population to provide the labor required. Based on demographic trends, Gronbach says that the industries to watch and invest in will be housing, moving material and products, and healthcare.”

  6. Great article today, something I've thought about for a long time. Maybe expand about discipline in another article? If the people that come over to your (or anyone elses) place see abundance, of course they'll be wasteful. During your three-step disciplinary process, how do you keep them from becoming indignant over you being such an unreasonable task master and decide to take you out so they can continue their "easy" life with your supplies? Kind of like how they had their easy life prior to the event, blowing their money on entertainment and vacations without scrimping and saving to put things away for the day of true need.
    Peace out

    1. Oh, crap, well you just killed my argument the other day why you don't really need a pistol. Protecting yourself against new members of the tribe. You have to worry about the gal you are sleeping with ( she reluctantly sides with blood ) AND food poisoning. Of course, if you actually shoot someone then you have a vendetta. Now THAT might be another article. Palace coup.

  7. On retraining, or in my case straight up training, anyone (friend or relative including children) will be required to read "One Second After" (EMP not required) before they get anything, and if they don't like the command structure they can leave. I will give some food, no weapons. Don't let the door hit you in the back

In my case sons are on board, it's my sibs that are the problem. Thankfully the closest is 200 miles away.

off topic, just saw a 303 Enfield go for $426 at an auction, close to $500 with auction fee and taxes. Are you still looking for any more?

  8. On rationing for the new tribe.

Ave's idea he shared earlier this year about having boxes with a weeks supplies would work really well. "Here's enough for two people for one week."

This article (Lord Bisons not Ave's) has got me thinking about all the tales about letting in an outsider who eventually ends up being the reason the tribe/village/company/country/planet gets destroyed

    1. Are the tales about the problem of tribes, or are they cautionary tales to strengthen the unity of the tribe? Remember, disunity strengthens the nation state and we've been taught it all our lives. Diversity Is Our Strength is just the newest one they don't pretend to hide very well ( war is peace! ). How long was "immigrating into the melting pot" brandied about, when no melting was going on?
