IMMEDIATE TRIBE 2
For decades now, the On
High Guru teaching is for you to gather
onto you the worthy, the talented, the financially well off, form a retreat and
shun the world as it implodes. Great
advice. Now, here’s my advice to
you. Go to college to earn a degree to
get a great job and find a breeder who is also a professional worker and a good
wife. What do these two pieces of advice
have in common? They are both
fantasies. They both are advice geared
towards another universe we can no longer visit.
*
Beam me up, Scotty, there’s
no intelligent life forms down here. I’ve
yet to meet a middle class gal that ever had her kids or husband prioritized
above her job. Okay, I don’t get out
much. But today’s work environment, from
a lowly retail manager on up, is around the clock fealty to the
corporation. If you have any mental
energy left over after performing a job that used to have two and a half bodies
on it, you are still expected to “take your job home with you”. Screw being a Debt Slave, although you are
one, you are being raped harder as a Corporate Drone Slave.
*
I judge you for being
enough of a dumbass to buy into the need to work, and the weak mindedness to
fail to stand up to your flock, but I was lead around by my Little Brain for
decades as a male so I certainly can understand why you did it. But it is still sad. As far as an insanely priced un-education to
supposedly buy into the 9% Gatekeeper Class ( protecting the 1%, and enriching
them, against the 90% proletariat ), you are young and stupid as we all were,
so for your sake I hope you simply can’t afford to go to college and throw your
life away.
*
Moving on to the whole
fantasy of a working retreat group, I’d remind you of the kind of people who
can afford to be there. Those of the 9%
( yes, I normally call them the 10%, a bad habit I’m trying to shake as it
entails far too much explanation about the math involving the 1%, which in and
of themselves are more like the one tenth of one percent but when you do
fractions in MS Word the spaces between lines are way off and look
hideous. You have NO idea the trials and
tribulations here! ). Who must be at the
beck and call of the corporate entity begrudgingly compensating the worker one
millionth of one percent profit after he single handedly made the company
another three percent profit last quarter.
*
Your fantasy members must
be there for the company. And his spouse
must reside in pampered luxury. Which,
even without consulting with them I would imagine does emphatically NOT include
dirt roads and four wheel drives, solar panels and sawdust toilets. So, your member needs to pay huge bucks for
his city domicile AND serious bucks luxurifying his retreat property up to
Trophy Wife acceptance standards. You
know a lot of guys with that kind of scratch?
And, let’s be honest, how smart are these guys anyway? Why are they under the impression they need
that kind of wife, or life? They are
good at one thing. Making money.
*
Does that leave room for
being any good at surviving? If I were
some rich puke? Hookers. Preferably Oriental hookers. They are cheaper, make good arm candy, and if
you want to drag her to the rustic primitive survival retreat, at MOST the
issue you face will be paying them more to rough it. Do you really think that your peers respect
that bulimic rag fish wife of yours? You
might think you need to impress them with her cost, but I think most would be
far more envious seeing you with hookers.
Actually, now that I think about it, I’m torn. Should that have been Russian hookers? Naw, too clichéd right now. I’ll stick with Korean.
*
Japanese are too thin and
Chinese are too short. Koreans are just
about right. If I was a rich prick
working at a law firm or some such that adhered to a strict public relations
policy of “proper, religious appearance” ( which is reality is a sick joke
since the rapine the firm involves in precludes NOT having a deal with the
devil ), so I couldn’t bring a different “date” to every work event, I’d just
keep the same one on retainer. I don’t
much like jumping from one partner to the next anyway. STILL cheaper than a trophy wife. You don’t have to pay for kids, a bigger
house, extra cars, an updated retreat-all saving more money for FLIR scopes and
freeze dried MRE’s ( stock enough to bring your hooker along ). Now, sorry if I got a bit off track
there. If you are rich and reading this,
please don’t feel self conscious about sending me a consulting fee.
*
Since the old saw about
rich retreaters is bullspit ( it wasn’t even really about getting rich ones,
but rather upper middle class ones-the issue today is that there is far fewer
upper middle class, AND the upper middle class bitches act and spend like
trophy wives so you STILL have Rich White People Problems ), what alternatives
exist? You can do like some groups
formed back east and publicized by Western Rifle Shooter do and go militia
which could be Survivalists Lite if everyone agrees to deep larder food as well
as ammunition. Of course, the problem
with that is you end up dying too quick.
*
I get that a bunch of vets
might like to get back together to recreate the camaraderie only experienced in
combat. And the training standards would
keep outsiders away. All well and
good. But outside the espirit de corps, is this tactically sound? Industrialized high tech warfare practiced by
Second Generation militaries is the PAST, not the future. The group might very well survive and
prosper, just from the cohesiveness, but I wouldn’t care to bet my life on
membership. They are a die-off
organization, not a post-apocalypse one.
Tomorrow, we continue. Whether I
stay on point is another matter.

Good track of thought again commander bison. You have to be living now in the standards that will save yer ass in the future when the ass falls out of this game. Cannot be a perfumed prince in polite society in plastic suvs and expect to step off your plane at your retreat and turn key into a chief executive officer or department director of survival. The locals (those there already playing at the game daily) and the risen brigands will eat you, take your gear, and farm out that wife and zombie kids for slavery. I only need walking around kit, there will be plenty of battlefield pick ups and scraps the 9 percent bought on credit laying around.
ReplyDeleteIf it was just a question of a short transition it wouldn't be bad, but most are so far away from tomorrows reality they don't know it how it will look ( and PA stories are little to no help, most times ).
Delete"The locals (those there already playing at the game daily) and the risen brigands will eat you, take your gear, and farm out that wife and zombie kids for slavery."
DeleteFunny you should mention that. I recall reading on a prepper forum some doctor had bought himself a survival bug out location that ticked all the boxes. He worked in the big smoke making big dollars. His plan was the yuppie I'll bug out to my prepper fortress when SHTF. He was literally beside himself with rage when everyone was saying he wouldn't be welcome there come SHTF. "I own it" he cried "Locals won't GAF" came numerous replies.
Big city folk don't understand how being a "local" works in regional areas. If you weren't born there you're welcome as a guest but don't expect to be welcome into the "tribe". you'd need to have exceptional skills (maybe a doctor but lets be honest. Dr's today are glorified drug dealers. What good are you if you say 'you need drug x or you'll die' when there's no pharmacys?"
Good reminder, but wasted on Yuppie Scum of course. Also remember, this locals sense of ownership is in good times. Come bad? You won't even have a chance to try to get there, and I can't imagine one trade worth feeding if food is scarce.
DeleteDuring supper tonight my wife decided to stream a show and I don't remember the full name but the word Pioneer was in it. The premise was that 2 couples were chose to live off the land for a year in 1870's style. The show provided the basic essentials including 2 horses, some chickens, a cow, tools, etc. Immediately I pointed out to my wife that neither couple has any idea what they are in for - they think they are going on a long camping trip. Waaaay too much grab assing and not taking it seriously. Well, the one couple abandoned ship in less than 24 hours, and that is how the first episode ended.
ReplyDeleteI told my wife after the show that people today haven't the vaguest clue as to what life was like just 100 years ago, and 200 years ago would see like the stoneage to them.
After watching all 12 epi's of the Green Valley I have a deep respect for how people lived back then and make no presumptions that I could survive in such a circumstance. There's a reason why life expectancy was short back then, cause the work was so dam hard and all the time - there was no let up, it literally killed you!
Yep, just doing ten years of what only today would be considered hard work, I feel beat to crap with a cherry on top. Those farmers 400 years ago grew up learning all the trades, plus had a network of tradesmen for some items, plus a half decent climate for it, and worked into an early grave. Well, the hard work and hideous English cuisine :)
DeleteRecently an old oak tree fell at my Aunt’s place, and I was called to come and get it (and there’s still plenty left too). Even using a chainsaw and a rented splitter, it was a hell of a job, and took me over a month to process it all. I can only imagine what it was like when all that you had were handsaws and wedges to use. And if you lived in a very cold area, you would have to spend practically every waking minute of your short summers processing firewood; this, on top of somehow tending to your crops. There couldn’t have been enough hours in a day, which is why the typical day probably started well before sun up, and went well after sundown.
DeleteThis is what really cracks me up about these feminists trying to make it sound as if men had it so good in the old days, and women had it so bad. But people today are stupid, and only know the revisionist history that they’re taught in the schools, not the lies that liberals tell. They don’t hear about the dude that spent 14 hours a day in a smoke filled factory, working in dangerous conditions, in order to put a loaf of bread on the table.
The dude spent 14 hours a day at the factory to get away from the wife :)
DeleteOff topic, but you might be interested in this 12 minute video on the history of bayonets. He talks about some of the stuff you write about, in keeping with the Martini-Henry video from the other day.
