hoo-ers post 1 of 2 today

HOO-ERS

I can’t for the life of me remember what show I heard it on, but a character was pronouncing “whores” as “hoo-ers”.  Maybe it’s just me but I thought it was pretty darn funny.  Don’t ask me why, Herr Doctar Freud.  As I’ve mentioned a time or two, one of the first things outsiders bring up about the state when they learn I’m from Nevada is about the legal prostitution ( the other thing is they think the climate is like Las Vegas.  LV blows in all things, from its political orientation to its avarice and greed to its collective below moron level of thinking to its Gott awful hot ass weather.  That tip of the state is like Death Valley-the rest of the state is like Mongolia ), and I have zero moral or philosophical problem with it.  I’m not like the rest of the survivalist bloggers who all try to out-preach each other and prove they are most holy and humbled before their deity and hence they alone deserve your prepping budget dollars.  I’m just a regular hack with a extra ordinarily poor attitude.  I’m a mixed bag of outlooks but one could reasonably classify them as anarchist tempered by evolutionary biological realities.

*

Prostitution is as old as agricultural fueled civilizations.  Prior to that your tribes of hunter/gatherers ( the estimates vary, but modern man as we know him has been around from seventy to a hundred and seventy thousand years now, give or take a few Ice Ages.  All but ten thousand of those were hunting.  Then, hundreds of thousands of years prior to that our bodies were evolving into optimizing that hunter/gatherer tribal structure ) didn’t have a hierarchal centralized society that necessitated a money economy.  Women evolved into a year long sexual availability to cement the cooperation raising long term maturation offspring with an exclusive male, but that is certainly not prostitution by any stretch of the imagination.  The fragmentation of the traditional tribal structure led us into rather unnatural systems of living ( unnatural when viewed from our hunting evolution.  Churches love to preach the world leapt whole from a garden-ie growing food-a mere few thousand years ago as it cemented their place  in the elites power position they had evolved into ) but since agriculture is a genie you can’t put back into a bottle-it delivers military supremacy-those are with us to stay in those areas with sufficient fertile soil and a water supply.  Hence, hoo-ers are a reality.  Trying to ignore its existence, religion can preach all it wants about the likelihood of its practitioners rotting in the lower bowels of Hell for all eternity, but laziness or an empty stomach usually trumps the condition of ones soul.

The military bedeviling me with a posting to one of the more wretched units, the 2nd ID in Korea, was not one which endeavored my favoring a career in the military.  The Provost Marshal was either absent ( for a short period, the PM post was abolished before being reinstated-I’m unsure of the dates ) or a lickspittle toady and allowed the puke infantry leadership free reign in “recommending” how we were in turn led.  Nobody likes MP’s, which is the reason you have a PM to buffer any nonsense others might wish upon them.  That, and having some of the more asswhore officers ourselves made the tour rather stressful.  But when we did actually get the grudging approval for some time off from 18 hour shifts seven days a week, there were the South Korean whores.  They ALMOST made all the other crap worthwhile.  And they were affordable.  On a lower enlisted salary you could visit the whorehouse over forty times a month.  Here in Nevada, on a comparable minimum wage job, it is a mere four times.

So, with personal experience still viewed favorably decades later, and seeing no visible repercussions from the local trade ( only positives, such as it makes Yuppie Scum bitches unhappy ), and understanding human nature a bit better by now, I simply can’t imagine what all the fuss is about regarding prostitution.  Sure, I can see how Women’s Libbers are as confused as ever.  They want their Sisters to be able to control their own bodies and get an abortion if desired ( whenever pro-lifers publish the number of abortions performed since Roe V. Wade, I can’t help but wonder how much more crowded this dump would be with all those extra breeders and their extra generations.  What?  You want MORE traffic and higher food prices?  I’m certainly NOT trying to hate on folks who takes comfort in their beliefs of a higher being.  I’m just saying, can’t we try to think just a smidge more rationally? ) but they can then take a dim view of that gals choice to sell her body at market prices.  Perhaps angry ugly bitches don’t want males to have sex at all.

*

Going by most of my prior relationships, this seems to be the case.  Males have somehow mysteriously quickly evolved into non-hormonal beings who can turn their sex drives on and off, and this has transpired just since bra burning commenced.  Those of us dirty apes who still want to perform such a vile act without first consulting the romantic feelings of their partner are evolutionary rejects and must be quickly divorced and used as a supplemental income source.  Even supposedly macho military veterans writing post-apocalypse fiction for a largely male audience have resorted to spewing this tripe.  Prostitution would definitely prove problematic for the PC Army legions, since unromantic instant availability of sex undermines their position and power.  Wives who know how and are willing to use positive attitudes towards sex should have nothing to fear from legal competition ( there are always some dumb asses who insist they need “strange”, who there is zero pleasing and shouldn’t be married by any sane female, but they are the outliers ).

*

Actually, the alternative to prostitution is illicit affairs, and the PC Bitches seem to favor that far more destructive practice.  I’ll explore that next, and eventually we’ll move on to collapse whores.  You should have known I’d cover the apocalypse angle.

  1. I agree that illicit affairs are more destructive than prostitution - with prostitution there is no expectation that the male will leave the mother of his children, nor any planning to have children with the professional. The problems with it are the spread of infectious diseases (not just STDs - close contact can spread all sorts of illnesses), unwanted/expected pregnancy of the professional, and the mental, emotional, social, and economic side effects from dealing in such a legally and socially ill-considered relation. 1st world countries can get away with it in a formalized manner by having disease testing, birth control, and specific formal structure to the relations beginning and ending.
But all of that will go out the window when the industrial age takes its big dump.
And the old fashioned medieval prostitution led to spread of diseases, bastard children, societal and economic issues of various sorts.
Pre-national (tribal hunter gather) prostitution was often a socially accepted and even semi-religious occurrence that would be performed by specific people with specific times for assuming the role(s) and for associated rituals that made it such that calling these affairs 'prostitution' in some cases were a stretch.

    1. Can we discount the effects the Papist Empire had on these social issues from prostitution?

    2. Even romans and greeks had social issues with prostitution - specifically children out of wedlock, a long with other such issues. They had somewhat formalized options with their bathhouses and allowed homesexual affairs, and some other specific types of things (red painted heels on the prostitutes, etc.).
but even so they had issues.

    3. Okay, so, we'll just blame the Agricultural revolution for imposing a money economy. Come on, man, we gotta blame someone! :)

I don't know if this is the scene you're thinking of but it was a good one.

As your resident religious antagonist I simply must offer the other side of the abortion debate. You mention overpopulation as being a potential problem if the abortions weren't allowed but, what about the other side of that. What if one of those babies would have grown up to be scientist who could offer the solution to our energy problems? It's also possible we would be living comfortably in our cold fusion, free energy society today if we hadn't ended that scientists life before it was born. Since we are dealing purely in speculation here, either side could be a valid outcome.

    1. No, not the scene but, yes, funny. The problem with your anti-abortion argument is that you assume science can cure the end of the Oil Age. Nice thought but it ain't gonna happen. Nuclear too cheap to meter was a lie 60 years ago and fusion is almost as old of a lie. We can't even get back up into space, so I think we can safely discount an energy more advanced than liquid hydrogen.

    2. I realize the odds are against a scientific solution but, my point is that we'll never know now.

    3. Two more people are supposed to be landing on the moon in a year or two, sent by one of the private rocket companies.
I will hope that they can make it, but thanks to international treaties they will not be able to make a profit on such a venture until the treaties are overturned.
Somehow I doubt the treaties will be overturned.

    4. It doesn't matter how smart one scientist is, without resource surplus backed infrastructure, his mind does become "a terrible thing to waste" ( making fun of the old public service ad for the Negro College Fund ).

JJG-as every year goes by without someone landing on the moon, my doubts that we ever did originally grow.

  3. Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, imposed abortion on our country. Her primary motivation was using it as a way to eliminate the black race. She was pretty successful in the sense that if tax-payer funded abortions can be performed, and the gov provides welfare benefits for unwed mothers, the male can procreate without consequences, such as actually having to support or be there for his child(ren). Hence blacks have the highest per-capita abortion rates, as anything the gov subsidizes, you get more of. My argument is that if abortion was never made legal, the current population of our country would be the same, or a statistically irrelevant similar number. There would not be a surplus of undesirables as we have now. The population we would have would be of stronger moral fiber because those who actually have abortions are usually of the weak-willed/weak-minded/rebellious variety who are quick to act in an undesirable way when there is a convenient "out" such as an abortion. The children we had would mostly all be wanted (as most rapes do not result in pregnancy). The black race does NOT need to be eliminated from this country or the globe as Margaret Sanger believed, but because of her successful war on them, there are enough of them who grew up to become so wild that SOME people (not me) now believe it's a good idea. Abortion and welfare are like a one-two knockout punch on our society as no country without good morals has ever retained it's greatness for long.
    Peace out

    1. Eugenics was very popular with our Dear Leaders long before the Nazi's borrowed it. We had sterilizations of undesireables 100 years ago ( mostly criminals and mental deficient since they were already institutionalized ). Abortion is merely a continuation of that. Also, I'm having a hard time with your Sanger Hates Blacks argument, plus the welfare/abortion connection. Black women are paid to have more kids, and have more as desired. They control the breeding, not the males who are mostly busy being in jail. And abortion is often more of a late birth control pill used by all segments of the social order. Points of your argument are valid but it seems rather a mish-mash. And yes, I understand I was using the pro-abortion movements argument as regards less population, semi-sarcastically but also for its valid point.

    1. No, at least not my original exposure. I just encountered the show and was NOT impressed. Couldn't abide even the premier episode. Something was just off about it.

  5. re "Hoo-ers"-- it has been at least four decades since I read it, but that sounds a lot like something from Hooker's book "M.A.S.H. Goes to Maine".

    1. I wonder if I got it from a Stephen King movie? Trying to remember the last one I saw. I think it was a cheesy one in a mill, the guy working nights and shooting at rats with diet pepsi cans and a sling shot. That might be the one.
