it's the food, retard 2

IT'S THE FOOD, RETARD 2
Almost nobody realizes they are fighting over food. Their Human Brain overrides the Lizard and Monkey Brain and focuses too much on abstracts. Which is fine-most folks were born to food surplus and actually think it will last forever ( if they didn't think this they would be buying five months worth of bucketed wheat rather than two weeks worth of MRE's for the same money ). They can mentally masturbate that the fight is over the Constitution or Universal Fairness or whatever the hell it is motivates the commie Brown Shirts.
*
You could say ( and I have, in my more hateful moments ) that the Deplorables just want to fight over Plastic Poodle Shooters, as if a guns cyclic action guaranteed victory, but I should have realized that is not necessary a bad thing. By staying armed, you stay free from being easily killed by famine, Soviet/Ornamental style ( new readers-”Ornamentals” is my cute and non-PC name for Orientals. You can infer which group, usually. In this case, Chi-Coms ). You are fighting for food, in roundabout fashion. Of course, you can still be starved-so don't ignore your calorie logistics.
*
The communists have been fighting over money for quite some time. At first, it was just a fight to take away half the jobs from males. Then, it was using the Kid Kard to take half of the remaining wages from males. Next, it was about taking ALL the jobs. Alas, jobs are even more scarce now, so the hilarious fight between White Females and every other Diversity Unit has already begun. Stupid White Bitches can't live off of Child Welfare anymore, having run out of anyone willing to marry their stupid asses. Now they lose all the jobs that were Make Work anyway.
*
It couldn't happen to a nicer group of dip-shards ( dips**t retards ). Anyone who thinks a 100 pound woman can fight a 175 pound male, or even carry one out of a burning building, deserves whatever Darwin Award future that awaits them. But here is my point. The fight was over political power and money. But in reality, THAT fight was just over control of the food. What is a job, other than earning your daily bread? What good is a wage, other than feeding yourself and your family? No, it was about the food, realized or not.
*
Grievances are excuses. Food is the cause. Why do you think there is a growing set of grievances? Why did the conflict start fifty years ago, and why has it recently gotten so bitter? Not because of Trump, or Obammy or Hillary. Not because Internet Censorship or Wal-Mart crapping on the Bill Of Rights and seeking to set up free fire gun free zones. Because it is human nature to fight over resources as soon as they START running out. No one waits for them to actually run out. The threat is the fighting start.
*
My current theory, one of many awaiting more pondering, is that the protest against the Vietnam war probably has a correlation to perceived defeat, not necessarily over the reluctance to be drafted. It wasn't necessarily a reluctance to die ( most eighteen year old's have zero perception of their own mortality ) as much as it was a primitive human emotion reacting to the danger of resource scarcity. If the US was a colonial power, and that status allowed a surplus, losing the war would lose the surplus status. They could tell themselves they didn't want to fight and possibly die for no good reason, but that was a grievance.
*
The true motivator was the response of fighting against resource scarcity. By fighting politically, all these Diversity Bitches were just fighting to control resources which were perceived to be in danger. Now everyone wants to fight over food proxies. We can poke fun, claiming it is a Free Crap army joining the fight to get on welfare. But that is just us fighting against those who would steal our food. All you silly sumbitches who fight me on Peak Oil and Civilization Collapse and all the Worse Case Scenarios, that is just your Human Brain blocking the signal of the Lizard Brain.
*
Lizard Brain is one smart Mo-Humper. In one aspect. Keeping himself alive. Lizard Brain can literally sense danger your Human Brain ( or Monkey Brain ) is completely oblivious to. All those subconscious signals it picks up and adds together is your “spidey sense” or your “gut feeling”. But you ignore it because Lizard Dude is a real arsehole. He doesn't play well with others. He is worthless in a group, only thinking of himself ( he only wants to f**k or fight, a real sociopath ). And humans can only survive in a group ( monkey mind ). So, the casualty of that need is Lizard Brain. He gets shafted. We ignore him.
*
Not that many of us use the Human Brain, instead staying within the more primitive primate mode of thinking ( the difference is the level of cognitive activity, including delayed gratification ) which has just the barest amount of group dynamic ability. Using the human brain hurts. It is a lot of work. The price of using the human brain is that the danger signal is REALLY obscured by abstractness. That professor with his head in the clouds, with his inability to interact well in a group would typify the distinction. The jocks and cheerleaders forming tribes is more monkey mind.
*
Anyway, that is a bit of unnecessary deviation. The point is that no matter how much we needlessly over complicate imperatives from the Lizard or Monkey Mind, we DO react to stimulus. We don't necessarily know WHY we are fighting, grabbing whatever convenient label there is to justify it ( injustice! Liberal Danger! Dark Skin! ), but fight we do. In the end, because we lack true direction, it might not work, but we all fight and that is enough for some of us to accidentally find the Finish Line in what the true conflict was.
*
To the species, and how they evolved and survive, the individual doesn't matter. All that matters is enough mating pairs survive for continuation. What I like to do here is offer some possibilities as to WHY you are angery or scared, other than the superficial reasons, so that you can increase the odds that it is your container of DNA that survives for the benefit of the species. My Lizard Brain thinks rather highly of my awesomeness in this matter. Monkey Brain screeches in delight. Human brain is exhausted from trying to sound smart.
*
I used to automatically discount everything combined that made up “Civil War Two”, “Commie Danger” and the like. I was too busy worrying about civilization collapse and Die-Off. Until it was obvious that the path to get to the end was blocked by this coming conflict. But make no mistake. Fundamentally, the war now is just like the war during and after the collapse. It is over resources, hence food. The commies want to eat just as bad as you do. So do NOT short shift their motivation, cheapening it to Wrong Think ideology. That endangers YOU.

note: PLEASE READ.  What started last Monday as an oopsie and was basically ignored as overreaction, when the banks overnight lending rates jumped to 10% ( repurchasing, or "repos" ), continued all week, every night.  The total is now up to $300 plus billion ( half what TARP was, if you recall ) AND if that is no big deal, they sweetened the pot calling for an additional $75 Billion A DAY through October 11.  Now, I'm just a simpleton without a college edumacation, but to me this sounds a bit like a liquidity crises.  Obviously, I could be wrong and the Federal Reserve Bank is going to throw all the money it needs at the problem.  Or, since one troubled bank alone, Douche Bank in Germany, is on the hook for $75 TRILLION in derivatives exposure, this might just be the new Lehman Moment already occurring and they aren't telling us spit.  Do with this as you will.

  1. Yes Jim, you are on the right track with the true real deal underlying issue. I value food and related resourcing availability as my biggest monster hiding in the closet issue. My prep training and your tutelage writings has programmed me to be food centered with many other activities all connected and linked to food as in stocking, securing assets, seeking sources, etc. It is, and should be one's daily focus of thoughts in the grand scheme of things. Not even being a foody hobbiest, or fat body, I am still always eyes open and attentive at anything food and prep relation natured. Like a dog always watching for scraps and opportunities, let that inner animal DNA work towards your own survivability chances.

    1. The Lizard Brain is strong within you, young Luke.

  2. I always thought, for the male anyway, it was "he who has the most food gets the most females," meaning the sex drive was the driver. Yeah, I kind of discovered this in third grade when I had a strong crush on a girl that a few of the other young bulls felt the same towards.

Thanks for looking into the dark and shining some light.

    1. I think the meaning you speak of was actually "he who controls the resources gets the females". The sex drive is nothing to mess with, but it will always be Food First.

  3. Malnurishment diseases, starvation corralling of people, "food privaleges" controlling, all seem to be effective tactics and weapons, way more so than a Unicorn Cavalry crusader force brandishing svelte flir scope straddled semi auto freedom guns! :))

I use historical examples and parallel study the overseas conflicts evolvement and believe food as a weapon is near half or sometimes more the most lethality and disruptively effective. Our soft ass scatter brain society and systems are ripe for a vicious "food thug" beat down.

    Got wheat?

    1. Right, it might not matter about "freedom guns" but it sure matters about "freedom fries"

  4. We've been on a portion reduction exercise for some time. The size of the plates and bowls has a lot to do with it, visually and psychologically. The point is to reduce daily intake, gradually, to a more manageable level, reducing expenditure, and getting used to the idea that less is more, as long as quality excels.

I used to prepare chili with 1 lb of ground beef but now when I buy it in bulk I package it for the freezer in 1/2lb size. Then, when I make my chili I use a half pound instead of a pound and keep all other ingredient quantities the same. We eat it in smaller bowls. Tastes about the same to me. In the bigger picture this reduces the cost (ground beef is the most expensive ingredient @ $1.99/lb for 80/20) while getting us used to eating less. -win-win- 100 cans of chili beans, normally 3 years worth, now lasts twice as long.

    2000-3000 calories per day? Pleez
If I ate all that I'd be a whale in no time.
Probably been 10 or more years since I ate 3000 cals in one day (Thanksgiving?). If I did it now a giant nap would be in order, maybe several, and nothing would get done around here in the meantime.

A guy I know through another guy I know asked me to give him a hand to install a central AC system in his small house, for $100 cash. I worked on it a few hours yesterday and finished it this morning. I've done that stuff a few times so it was fairly easy. So $100 for fairly easy stuff, cash. His wife said she wants me to build a "barn door" for her kitchen and if she likes it her mother might want one too. A barn door slides on a wall mounted rail close to the ceiling. I can get the rail for cost from my steel business owner neighbor and I most likely can fabricate the wheels from one of my many junk bins. I have plenty of wood on hand. What, charge maybe $200 for each door, plus another $50 for installation? I likes free money, in exchange for time that could have been spent in front of the toob. After all, those parts for the .308 AR I want to build won't pay for theirselves. But yeah, the food you don't shit out tomorrow morning may save your life next year.

  5. Guy from yesterdays comments section, stocking 90 days of disposable silverware and dishes for hiding out during an initial die-off phase...DON'T DO THAT! What are you going to do with all that trash that will attract pests from the food residue? It's all petroleum based plastic and styrofoam (except the paper, but maybe waxed?) which will make a dark fire with hazardous smoke if you try to burn it.

There's a better way. Might I suggest using silver utensils? Silver will naturally kill anything that's on it for germs, so as long as you lick your silverware clean, or wipe it clean, it will naturally sterilize itself after several minutes. That eliminates the need for soap and water for washing. I have sterling silver spoons set aside for this. I keep a sterling silver spoon in my get-home/bug out bag canteen to prevent bacterial growth.
Here's an example of a single spoon you can buy (if it's just you you're planning for), but there are cheaper ones, multi-packs, entire sets, etc.
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Towle-Sterling-Silver-Old-Master-6-5-Spoon-No-Monogram/283617244770?hash=item4208e7b662:g:VYoAAOSwhN1dgP1M
You can also get a silver-plated bowl, which is much cheaper than a sterling silver bowl. You just have to be careful that you don't scrape the bowl with your utensil and rub off the silver plate to the underlying base metal.
    An example, here...
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/WM-Rogers-Silver-Plate-Bowl-7-5/163875195651?hash=item2627b90b03:g:gw0AAOSws8Fdh8w4
Bowls are better than plates. If you have grain stocked for your hideout period, you'll want to soak it in water to soften or sprout it before eating. Also, you can expect a lot of anything-you-can-find soup in your future, where a bowl would be much appreciated over a plate. If possible, you want to eat your meals warm, because your body can utilize more of the calories.
If you eat cold meals, your body wastes calories warming the food up to body temperature. Basically, I'm suggesting you abandon the single-use serving plan, and invest now in a lifelong apocaspoon and apocabowl per person.
    Best wishes,
    Peace out

    1. Got it. I'll check into it. My plan was to simply bury the waste materials.

I've lived on a hobby farm the last 25 years and occasionally burn tires to avoid the ridiculous 'disposal' fee. You burn anything that creates black smoke on dark nights. But you have excellent points.

      Peace, back atcha.

    2. I was reading somewhere about shredded tires being used in road construction. It might have only been one state. But, it would seem then that disposal fees ( aka "pension fund shortfall fee ) would be waived.

  7. "Once you lock into a trophy wife and McMansion and find the area of high cost of living your job is in, you are on a high speed treadmill that is hard to exit. You actually end up with no to worse choices in life. The brother in law is making five times minimum wage, way above the national average, and is a sad sack prior to every payday. He is trapped and age is whittling away at his options to stay in his field. I'm making what? $1.25 an hour? Semi-retired and few worries beyond what we all face on a macro scale of politics and the economy"

Just quoting this gem from a few days ago. It's spot on.
