survival hermitage book 13

SURVIVAL HERMITAGE BOOK 13
How Less Money continued
You are, in theory else why in the name of all that is holy would you be reading my drivel, a survivalist.  Not a pussy prepper ( although yes, I do use the two interchangeably but just know I’m not fond at all about Pretty Pony Princess Preppers ) that stocks three semi-auto weapons with five hundred rounds each and a case of MRE’s, thinking stupid shitte like as soon as you vote Republican all will return to Leave It To Beaver so all you really need is a Hurricane Readiness Kit.
*
A survivalist knows that when the end is nigh, that means serious crap is going down, to the tune of civilization collapse, imperial implosion, resource depletion and the start of at least five centuries of Dark Ages leaving us all salvaging building material from the Coliseum, dressed in rat pelts and scratching beard lice as we beat each other over the heads with chunks of rusted rebar.  There is no room in there for fantasy unicorns farting rainbows and frolicking kittens out its rose smelling arse.  And if there is one thing that is more retarded than anything else it is thinking that Happy Motoring will last much longer.
*
Already shipping costs are increasing because even with a glut of gasoline from Fracking, there is no heating oil and diesel available from it.  Conventional oil has been decreasing for thirteen years, and more and more our suburban car culture relies on fracking. Now up to one third our daily petroleum use.  That means one third of our diesel is gone from the sources we used to rely.  So the whole global transportation paradigm is starting to crack, along with the rock containing Tight Oil.  The whole system is humped.
*
You just aren’t seeing it for the CURRENT gasoline glut.  But when half of your liquid energy supply comes from overseas, and your grasp on empire is blatantly obviously slipping, HALF gone will in practice mean ALL gone, for you, Deplorable Scum.  Get ready for it.  And to those still relying on cars, because you can, even if you don’t have to, consider those survival skills you must hone such as shooting and gardening.  How now brown cow does one survive without an internal combustion engine without practicing living without it?  But enough.  You know by now only NOT having a car makes economic sense.
*
You cannot live butt simple and super cheap with a car, period.  With any debt, period.  With crippling property taxes, period.  You know this.  Being mostly self-sufficient in food, but exposed financially on the land that grows it is zero self-sufficiency.  Being completely unable to restock critical supplies without an automobile makes self-sufficient earnings non-viable.  You must collapse early or you’ll crash far too low and hard to survive.  You cannot have the best of both worlds, luxury vast carbon fuel consumption princess living and yet still hold a clue as to how to survive without that.
*
Survival Hermitage is assuredly NOT an easy method of survivalism.  But it is the safest bet a poor person can make ( since you cannot afford to pay Rawles to consult you on which type on mountain top concrete bunker to build, as you don’t have that well paying of a city  job to where you can also afford an armored limousine to take you to the armored hanger containing your armored jet which will take you to your armored fortress ), in as far as increasing your odds of survival.  It is also the best way to survive economically.
*
Am I saying it is for most people? No.  99% of survivalists are still going to own a car and work in the city.  I know that.  They won’t even buy the land outside heavily populated areas.  Those that DO, they aren’t any more rich or smart.  They are just that paranoid.  So while it is easy for anyone to be the most prepared, far better than the Yuppie Scum HALO jumping to their gold facet equipped Idaho fortresses, I understand it isn’t a lifestyle most will embrace.  I don’t think I ever will.
*
I have serious doubts anyone will survive just the economic collapse, unless they have no debt, no car, no rent or mortgage.  Even then things will be tough, with no way to completely feed themselves.  But if you do have any of those handicaps?  You won’t make it.  Debt will see you in debtors prison or a more civilized version of it.  A mortgage or rent WILL see you homeless, but without today’s tolerance for that lack of shelter, and without today’s assistance ( which is just a racket designed to be a make work program for bitches with college basket weaving degrees ).
*
Once cities truly are going broke, vagrancy laws will be reenacted.  Ooooh!  I’ll bet you wish you didn’t have to be homeless on a cops beat.  Yeah, rethink that “acting homeless to disguise me as a guerrilla” thing because that will be the very excuse they need to combat the gun owner’s rebellion.  ANYONE on the street after curfew is arrested and put to work at jobs the city used to pay someone to do, and if you are a suspected rebel?  Tortured and Disappeared.  Sure you want to be homeless?
*
Even those of us well prepared might become homeless, because of that gun control.  Be honest, do you think the cops will let you go because “boating accident”, or “honest, I sold them all”.  That isn’t how counterinsurgencies work.  If they suspect, just suspect, goodbye Irene.  Your only hope is to not be there.  Subject for another time.  All I’m saying is that the ONLY way to prepare is to give up on any illusions of luxury.  “Oh, I don’t want to just survive, I want to THRIVE!”.  What a humping pussy.  Nice knowing you, Stewpot Stuey.
*
You know what needs to be done.  No rocket surgery involved.

  1. Yep, it is going to become a nuts and bolts aspect to this survival kind of thing. Being prepped with kit and gear out the wang, is not the end all of it. A quartermaster's warehouse of supplies, motorpool of vehicles, and an armory of flir guns is not it, not even close. Be the chap that splits a paper match in halves to get two fires from one, just for the sake of a challenge, combined with instinctive frugallity. Thats where it is going to become. Jim keep up the brilliant training.

  2. I maintain hat my social security covers my mortgage , taxes and insurance on my residence of doom. Complete with a pit of doom on property with unlimited water supply and a good growing season too.
If that SS don't come anymore, then too the bank and government are no more also.
At which point we're on our own... I'm good to go.

Or there's always the thirteen acres out in the swamp only twenty miles away.

Not yuppy , not Rawlsian just pure Spud potato style survivalism.

    1. I just wonder how they are going to screw over the SS folks by indexing to Happy Face Inflation, but get the banks paid in real inflation indexed rates. That should be interesting. Just to say, SS could still be around but nearly useless. But I hear what you are saying-no worries for the Spud Dude!

  3. All things will flesh out. Any new government, yes there will always be A gov't. They will have to at least stipend the old, veterans, true cripples. Not to the levels expected and demanded today, i.e. (Not 1600 to 2k or more a month fat money) probably halved but still trickling out with the bread lines etc, To pacify. Following Jim's maxims of being low to the ground, getting by on a few hundred or less @ month will be easy gravy.

    1. Will they? Why not let the crips die and subsidize the young Turd Worlders? Who poses more of a threat?

  4. Perhaps rural areas will go all fuedal, and serfdom will be labor for room and board and one will not need to carry coinage for days and weeks or more. Seeing as how things are evolving with cashless, tech, etc. Anyone not in the 1% 9% will not be in a money economy and be a sci-fi cubic credit or orwell version of proles and labor merely fed, clothed, entertained, and intoxicated. Good times are coming.

    1. Farmland will go Feudal. Want freedom, don't be on someone else's farmland. If mobs of bush bitches can trash pick weapons and siege a well armed Boar farmer and win, what are your chances against Diversity Mobs with rocks and sticks? Just saying.

    2. I know a young lady that went to europe and bummed around for almost a year recently. She used illegal work stays to survive. Room and board for a few hours work (not that kind of work, you dirty old men!). Cleaning the hostel and preparing the kitchen for meals or taking care of animals on a farm. She made money by teaching english over the internet. WAS she a SERF? If so she had fun and didn't work that hard.

  6. Have you ever seen Eric Rudolph’s site Jim? (Yes, that Eric Rudolph). It’s more than just a site about fetus yanking :D

You might like it, particularly his articles on race and feminism. He appears to be a rather good writer.

    1. Well, damn, I've got to read more on that one! This is the kind of First Amendment rant and bat crap crazy screed that is in danger of being pushed out of existence. A bit of a whiff of the grapeshot aimed at the PC brigades. Thanks.

  7. The dude below is the only other dude besides yourself that I’ve come across that is also of the opinion that we’re totally humped as a species, though he came about it from a different perspective (buys into a lot of leftwing conspiracy nonsense).

It appears that the word barber, is not a part of his lexicon, and that perhaps he has had one too many LSD trips, because he’s seen some things and some stuff, and he wouldn’t recommend it :D

    1. Thanks, but I ran across him before and couldn't sit still long enough for him to get to the point. I appreciate the link, though. Just remember, I don't despair for the species itself. I'm not McPherson who thinks we go completely extinct. I just figure the die-off is 99.999%. Still plenty left after that to cleanse the gene pool. Actually, I'm open to debating how many 9's are to the right of the decimal point. But that is just details :)
