the collapse will be televised 2

THE COLLAPSE WILL BE TELEVISED 2
I’ve talked about when the collapse started, many times and from many angles.  I still am not sure although I believe the late 50’s saw the first cracks appear, commodity prices rising and Peak Iron Ore hitting domestically.  I’m sure there was quite a bit more but indicators are few and far between.  The first political cracks were from 1961 when the Bay Of Pigs occurred and JFK fired Dulles from his post and threatened to disband the CIA ( oops-ee! That wasn’t the smartest move, ending in a magic bullet two years later ).
*
( recall that the CIA was the old OSS, and almost exclusively members were East Coast Blue Blood Ivy League elites ).  Right after that we got more serious about Vietnam, which tells me we were trying to duplicate an economic save a la WWII.  And the Chappaquiddick Kid paid back his handlers by passing immigration reform ( opening the floodgates to cheap labor ).  Bitches Lib was goosed, probably financed and directed by the same folks.  All the cultural and political upset was a result of the earlier economic implosion.  Don’t confuse cause and effect.
*
Also don’t discount the amount of social engineering going on.  Self-interest played a role in war protests ( “I’m special and rich and not a Deplorable so I shouldn’t have to be drafted and get fragged for my incompetence” ) but I’m sure the intelligence services had influences in all the social movements.  Those people were just the civilian corps of the military industrial complex after all.  Follow the money.  It had already been easy-peasy to sell the whole Evil Commies Are Our Godless Enemy, Sacrifice For Das Homeland Now thing.  They had practice for pushing the sheep in the proper direction.
*
Economic conditions called for interference as those in charge do NOT appreciate a drop in their hooker and blow money.  That crap is for the Deplorables.  And you can only guess how much interference Hollywood saw.  It could be as simple as bribing them as today, to get free equipment and advisors the Pentagon must agree with the tone and content.  But looking at the paradigm shift in the content, I don’t think Hollywood did anything other than what the public would pay for.  Eventually.  I’m pretty sure that the initial funding was provided by the government.
*
Recall that Hollywood was an enthusiastic and willing partner in straight up government propaganda for WWII.  Hollywood interference is nothing new now nor was it new in the 1960’s.  All you have to do is fund production and/or distribution and you can bypass any conservative studio anyway.  You don’t need bribes or blackmail.  Subversion was already a reality in Washington ( funding war protests and Black unrest and gender unrest.  Divide and conquer ).  It isn’t  hard to think they successfully “directed” Hollywood.  When one film proves successful then they all voluntarily dog pile as copy-cats and they fund themselves.
*
And let us not forget that we as individuals are complacent in funding cultural subversion.  If a movie comes out that pushes the line on acceptable portrayals of sexuality, for instance, how many of us actually refuse to go?  Does “Basic Instinct” ring a bell?  How many of you enjoyed Robert Heinlein, or Ayn Rand?  Two subversives, at least to the ruling order ( I’m not comparing freedom lovers to communist lovers.  I’m pointing out our inner subversive gooses commercial sales which signal funding for more subversive cultural activity ).  Recall censorship is a century old by this point.
*
The current paradigm calls for a far more hedonistic lifestyle.  The old order did maintain itself by some government interference but mostly by self-censorship.  What YouTube and Patreon is doing now is no different than what the Hayes Commission did to movies or how comic books were regulated.  Thought control.  I’m not saying that is bad, because a culture that protects itself by ANY means stays successful.  Well, up to the point of collapse all organizations experience-but you take my point.  I’m just saying it is hard to point fingers at one culture as bad as opposed to another, from the outside looking in.
*
Perhaps we tend to forget that the economic collapse of the last fifty years is, well, economic.  As the dollar keeps getting inflated away the cost of everything increases and the money available for everyone shrinks.  Everyone desperately scrounges, fights, claws and sacrifices morals for money.  The CIA started out funding its activities, to be free from Congressional control through purse string pulling, with the drug trade.  That was so successful that now other industries depend on it for their growth, such as local LEO’s or the justice/correctional system, and now entire wars are fought for it.
*
( does the Afghan poppy ring a bell? )  Hollywood started out embracing subversion for profit as the new sex and violence sold more tickets ( ah, the good old days of gratuitous nudity ) just as today they tone all of that down chasing a PG-13 rating to get more family butts in the seat.  They chase the PC crowd as that is where the money is.  They couldn’t care less what message they are peddling as long as it sells.  These are people that would sell their mother for an extra piece of silver.
*
But that doesn’t make them propagandists or any more evil than anyone else.  Women gladly break up the family to increase their take home pay.  Corporations literally poison for profit.  Teachers gladly castrate boys to keep their paycheck.  Children are raised by the television, latch key kids so normal they don’t even have a name anymore.  Marriage is purely economic, each partner hating the other but needing the second paycheck.  This is what NOT having a culture looks like.  But remember what our culture used to look like?  Peer pressure, religious oppression and government hive-mind.  Not to say we got an improvement.
*
Just to point out that there is only a magical yesteryear insofar as tribal unity.  We still paid a price as we subverted our individuality to the group.  And Hollywood was part of that collective.  You hate being alone without a group and so the nostalgia you wallow in was for a time of less freedom.  Now we have all the individual freedom we could desire, but at the price of being cast adrift without a tribe.  What you pine for still had a dark side.  It is of course preferable to the dark side of autonomy.  But it wasn’t as pure and wonderful as you want to remember.

  1. Although it may be apples to oranges. The adage of sticking with what you know,(old dogmas, rules) may be in its own way better than the voyeurism that everyone engages in causing them to nibbled on what was, or should be appropriately labeled forbidden fruit. The end result of that fruit sampling is the body society gets a bubbly gut, and results in episodes of violent bowel voidings. And...... then......everyone else gets to view the ass splatter in public facilities and displayed openly throughout society. Cause and effect.

I do. But admittedly, I’m the exception to the rule. I also refuse to patronize leftist corporations, though that’s getting harder and harder by the day, since they’re all coming out in favor of the leftist cause. The only one that I haven’t been able to do away with completely is Amazon, as that would be a very difficult weaning, since they sell everything that I need. I’ve tried Jet.com but they just don’t have the products or service as does Amazon (Though I might investigate them a little further as time goes on).

Just heard on the news that the Super Bowl had an all time low rating over a 10 year period. I wonder how much pushing SJW themes, and outlawing MAGA hats at the games had to do with that? Also, I didn’t watch it, but I’ve been informed by many that they really “Ni _ _ ered it up” this year :D

    1. I wouldn't watch it if you put a gun to my head, but I heard it was BORRRRING!!!! This coming from rabid fans. I wonder if the players have gone from Taking A Knee to purposely playing a slow defense to try to hurt viewership and force more concessions from the evil White owners. I also heard the commercials were absolute crap, so that endangers about half of your viewers. Not sure what is going on with the whole mess.

    2. The nfl like many multi nationals, etc. Makes so much money, and is so surrounded by fanboys they are totally blind to the bent of middle managers to the left. As long as balance sheet and sluts and dope is forthcoming they really don't give a shit what the 9% is doing. Try calling customer service or writing letters to the editors type of activities. It is a block wall of indifference. I guess Minions should just check out from that nonsense reality and circle the wagons, stay in the compound, etc.

    3. I can understand ignoring reality in exchange for hookers and blow. It just seems everyone up and down the line is self-sabotaging.

    4. I do my utmost to not give aid or comfort to my enemy. The NFL chose their side & it's not the Wests. Gillette chose their side & I'm not a soyboi. Nike chose their side, and I'm not BLM.

So none of those companies get my $$$ nor my good words

    1. You know, I honestly don't know what the term means. I tried looking it up but got no where. I watch the Black Pigeon and Black Pill YouTube channels but still cannot infer a meaning. A wee bit of help here?

    2. My understanding is it's derived from the Matrix movie.

The Blue Pill - you willingly / unwittingly buy into the lies

The Red Pill - you wish to see the world as it is, not as you want it to be. It's also used in manosphere in relation to Women and what they *really* (but don't know / acknowledge) want as opposed to what they *say* they want. Think that they say they want a nice guy but they're banging multiple alpha jerks

The Black Pill is more Western Civilisation tier stuff. It's "We're all doomed" / "Holy Toledo. Look at what we're up against".

At least that's my understanding & it's how I use / read the terms

    3. Well, hell, I can do "we're all doomed" all day long :)

  5. re:
    Movie programming

I cannot explain it nor date it. Probably a couple decades ago, I came into a space of complete and utter intolerance for Hollywood programming, especially televisionprogramming.

None of the Hollywood products appeal to me. I thought some of the work by Streep and Nicholson was passable... then, suddenly, it wasn't.

Living near the outskirts of Eugene Oregon with the RV manufacturers in Coburg about ten miles away, we delivered an awful lot of RVs. We delivered a BillionBuxBus to the Montana ranch of about the only real 'actor' in the bunch.

After the thousand-mile drive, we pulled into the gravel lot in front of his very modest home, and he greeted us as he wiped grease from his hands. "Hey, com'n. Take a look at my latest project...", an antique tractor he was rebuilding in his yuge shop.

He invited us to hang-out for a few days, so we got to hear his opinions and experiences.

He told us he hates Hollywood. Passionately. "Nuke the dump, nobody could tell, and it wouldn't be any worse." As in 'passionately'.

    * * * * *
Those words echo those of our distant neighbor up the road, a very loved mustachioed icon of westerns and beef commercials.

At the hardware store, he of the one-of-a-kind voice said "You want me to say something nice about Hollywood?" [grin with head shaking] "I'll be over in the large nails section..."

    PS:
Montana man sent us home with a nice tip along with that BillionBuxBus to return to the maker. "I know a little something about quality, and this ain't it."

That earned the gent a special place in our hearts.
