STRONG DOLLAR
Looks can be deceiving.
Except with my hair. Its beauty does not interfere with my being
extra smart ( since the sunshine and water can get to my scalp ).
Most folks with nice hair? Not so fortunate. But that is the
exception. Mostly, when somebody is pretty they usually have no
other redeeming qualities. The personality of a rock, or the
intelligence of one. Look at Obammy. If you go for the zebra look,
the man had a pretty face ( he might have stole it from his wife ).
But the morality of a serial killer and the smarts of a garden slug.
*
( I try to avoid the
discussions on race and intelligence. For a bunch of White guys who
think they are smart, I don't think many of them get the point. Yes,
Whites might score higher on average. Today. After several
generations of breeding for intelligence, because that was
economically rewarded, it's just common sense. And Blacks in general
were bred for fighting and breeding, which is where the money was.
So what? The future will NOT reward intelligence but rather punish
it. Who is going to have the last laugh? )
*
I brought that up in
case there are any knee jerk reactions about our King Kenya being a
retard because of his race. And no, a college degree has NOT been
about intelligence for awhile. Schools are little more than diploma
mills now. If you are too young to recognize the term, look it up to
understand how embarrassing it is to be Harvard, with its A- average
GPA. I can see where a teenager would think he was hot crap after
being a Masters at basket weaving but I can't imagine why his rich
daddy sees any value in it ( I know, future connections. Still-an
extreme price ).
*
Right now, 'Murica
LOOKS strong. So strong the Iraq war didn't end until we just pulled
all our troops into Green Zones and didn't meddle in that crackpot
religious fecal stew anymore ( don't get between a Muzzy and his
killing other religions-what else do they have to do to entertain
themselves besides sodomizing camels and killing each other? ). So
strong her obsolete naval vessels play bumper cars in open oceans. I
would say, “so strong they still fight in Afghanistan twenty years
later”, but come on! Nobody wins over in Afghanistan.
*
Losing a war in
Afghanistan isn't indicative of a weak military, but it does show
hubris and a fundamental lack of understanding even the most
rudimentary history. Ask some little legless beggar in Calcutta who
has a lopsided head from jumping into the Ganges and hitting a rock,
hey, kid, who should you never attack militarily?, and he'll tell you
in between wiping drool off his chin, duh, Afghanistan. Evidently,
the Pentagon got all its intel on the country from satellite images
rather than cracking a history book. Now, Venezuela, THAT was
embarrassing.
*
America does one thing
well with its military, and that is enriching some armaments
companies, with their bankers. That is what you get for your one
trillion a year. Sure, there is some true Reaganomics trickle down
benefits such as much cheaper oil, coffee and chocolate, but those
are mere crumbs to the proletariat. The entire show has now
degenerated into a Pretty Pony Presentation. Our nuclear arsenal is
the only thing keeping us in power still. Want more proof? Every
time the US Army loses a war, they give themselves a wardrobe change.
New uniforms upon defeat.
*
If that isn't
indicative of a loser, form over function, and dazzling glitter to
distract, I don't know what is. Another loser right now? Our
currency. The dollar went into future Rhodesia mode when we ran out
of both gold stores and oil increases. Somehow, we said to our
little Saudi buddies, hey, I know we are getting our ass handed to us
by black pajama wearing rice slurping farmers, but we definitely can
protect you if you agree to price all your oil in dollars, mmkay?
Well, you know that isn't how the conversation went, but it makes for
good PR.
*
What probably happened
was the negotiator Kissenger said, hey, raghead, see all those troops
over in Vietnam? They can all start flying west instead of east.
Care to pledge undying love and fidelity to America, or would you
prefer being back in a tent in the desert as we swarm your two bit
sandbox? Well, gee, what a decision. Stay rich, get much richer as
they had just gotten mega-production going, or get napalmed? Well,
boys and girls, that arrangement lasted forty years, plus a couple
extra for good measure. It is already over.
*
The Saudi's have
already started taking Chinese currency as payment for oil. Just
partially, and it is buried in the books. They know better than to
embarrass the US, but a precedent once set becomes rather dangerous,
doesn't it? I've mentioned this several times. You yawn and go fill
up the SUV to go have a BBQ at the lake. I'll keep repeating this,
as it is far more important than you want to admit. The PetroDollar
WAS the currency which kept the economy running. Every barrel of oil
pumped was debt we created. It was money for nothing and chicks for
free.
*
Russia, China, Turkey,
India, Venezuela, Iran and Saudi Arabia-all are just some of the
countries now buying or selling oil in currencies other than dollars.
That means they don't need to buy our debt. That means we are
buying our own Treasury bonds. Oopsie! That can lead to some
problems! This process has been ongoing. Your uber wonderful Dollar
is no longer so wonderful. But look! The dollar is oh so strong
right now! No, sorry, the dollar is weaker than ever. But in
comparison to OTHER currencies it LOOKS strong. What did we just say
about looks being deceptive? Anyone? Mueller?
*
A strong looking
currency is rather troubling if you think about it, because it means
the rest of the globe is in an economic depression. Everyone else
exports to us. We can't buy. Their currency weakens because of
that. Making ours look stronger. How does that help us, long term?
It wasn't bad enough the PetroDollar is dying, now we take down the
rest of the global economy with us. I suppose you want even MORE
proof that the Oil Age is disintegrating? It isn't unicorns and
lollipops right up to its complete collapse. More tomorrow.

I used to work in the defense industry. The man who hired me, thus showing his brilliance, said the defense industry is welfare for the rich and well educated. I do believe he was correct!
ReplyDeleteHuraah! Guys, spot on. That system was golden in the day when it was "logical" as Spock would say. I think F.U.S.A. is in the pickle predicament that soviets were in and collapsed over like an over worked beast of burden. If a Minionite can really hermitage it out, and be full on invisible as can be to that meat grinder, they may well walk out the other side. There is still descendants of collapsed and burnt to the ground empires treading upon the same real estate. Doable, if staying frosty while in spicy times.
DeleteAnother benefit of hermitage is you can actually wear a "man-kini" for Spicy Times. No one can see you.
DeleteMatthew 18:9 KJV
Delete“And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.”
Seeing you in a "mankini" would warrant a double pluck.
I don't know, I think the bowling ball belly and flat ass, skin spots and wrinkles could be Spicy on a geriatric calendar. The crones would swoon. Take that image with you to bed tonight! :)
DeleteThe perfect and invulnerable weapons system has parts built in every congressional district.
DeleteNo , just absolutely no...
DeleteI know you're visualizing it!
DeleteJohn-that's why we have the most perfect weapons in the world.
Delete“I would say, “so strong they still fight in Afghanistan twenty years later”, but come on! Nobody wins over in Afghanistan.”
ReplyDeleteYou ever notice how just when we’re getting ready to pull troops out of such places, the enemy always conveniently commits some act to insure that we stay? In Syria, Assad decided it was a grand idea to gas some of his women and children, just as we were getting ready to leave, to all but guarantee that the “morally outraged” US would stick around. Worst yet, no one ever seems to question these convenient acts. And has anyone ever seen a general on the faux news channel ever say that it’s a terrible idea to stay in such places, and that we should just call it quits already, and pull out. No, no one ever has :D
Deplorables are stupid. The silliest propaganda should work on us, say the "experts".
DeleteWell, that might have came out the wrong way, since I too am a deplorable :D But I do find fox news to be less than satisfying for the most part.
DeleteIn other news. Trump just fired John Bolton. That’s about 25 less wars that we’re not going to get into now, in large part due to that neo-con pole smoker, with a Napoleon complex. I hope someone air drops that bastard somewhere over the middle east, hobbled and disguised as a nubile goat :D
No, I think my response came out the wrong way. I too proudly fly the Deplorable flag. Meant to be snarky, to the idiots thinking we buy their BS. Can we not take a moment to respect the awesomeness that is John Bolton's mustache? Say what you will about the man, don't dis the soup strainer.
DeleteI would venture to say that I'm a deplorable liberal , stuck solidly in the center of things.
DeleteFaking the left and right out, for a hair over sixty-five years now.
But I've always had a good mustache...
Hell, I'd be Stalin's buddy, just to glory in that mustache. Bolton is no Joe, but he'll do in a pinch. But he gets generic coffee if he visits.
DeletePeak oil wasn't much of a thing when my Dad died back in the 80s, but he never trusted any economy. He was born in 1920 and remembered the Depression Era. One of his sayings was "We are going to have another depression, but this time people don't know how to be poor." Looks like I get to see how right he was.
ReplyDeleteIf the folks going through the 70's didn't convince him we knew how to live poor, we are indeed in serious trouble. Curse you, Spicy!
DeleteWe don't fight wars to win, we fight wars to spend. The last time we wanted to win we showed Japan the pain. Men, women, and children it don't matter you can all suck a couple of nukes. Now you can't even shoot a goat humper in the sand box without getting a ok from your boss. Excuse me Mr. Taliban can I see some id? Glad I got out before I went fratricide on my commanders. The whole mess is a huge joke, we could have won in a year if they unleashed the beast. Instead we are breeding poppy plants and terrorists.
ReplyDeleteHa! Never heard it said so well before. Bravo.
DeleteIf Afghanis could have been wiped out the Soviets had ability to do so. Just across the border (no 6500 mile supply line) Language/cultural skills in the C. Asian troopers.
DeleteWhat Sovs lacked in terms of our current tech they made up with brutality.
No American "beast" could pull a vicory from the hat (or turban).
Sorry but that's self flattery.
It was the very last line I enjoyed immensely. I don't know how much confidence in victory is esprit de corp and how much is hubris, but for those on the sharp tip it doesn't matter.
DeleteBut how could we ever have supplied the ingredients for the so called Opiod crises, without Afghanistan for base ingredients ?
DeleteNow that China can manufacture synthetic super duper dope cheaply...who needs Afghanistan ?
the soviets didn't drop a little boy or fat boy.
ReplyDeleteWhat would have been the point? Even with Kabul gone, the rurals carry on as prior.
DeleteAnnedotal note. Nevada is silly stupid gravel wise same or close to afghani terrain with better infrastructure (for now anyhow). I walk around in any of the dirt perpetually reading for IED party surprises. Jeez.
ReplyDeleteThat dollar linen fusa note is fire tinder or bum wipers post collapsey.
Like Christopher Walkin set the record straight in 'Dog's Of War', "in my jungle your just another asshole."
Stay Frosty come Spicy Times.
I hope to live long enough to see Nevada as the new Afghanistan. One needs goals.
DeleteAfghanistan, planetary supplier of opium.
ReplyDeleteTheAmericanMilitary©, two decades in Afghanistan.
American 'opioid crisis'.
Coincidence?
