survival heritage book 4

SURVIVAL HERMITAGE BOOK 4
WHY TRIBE?
“You need a tribe to survive” is one of the survivalist/prepper mantras that everyone drones on about, and they are actually correct.  You do need a tribe.  Humans evolved to be social animals to the point if physically you can survive, it is difficult to mentally, without a group of fellow humans around.  Now, just as you can physically survive without a sexual partner, doing so WILL affect you mentally, and while you COULD survive NOT being around other people, you will do so very much NOT right in the head.  You are ignoring biology.
*
I’m not going to spend any time on whether you are suitable for long stretches of avoiding people.  Most people are not.  It is easy enough to find out-simply avoid people and, AND very important, ALL substitutions of people such as telephones and TV and the Internet.  Test to see if you are okay with just the lonely thoughts in your head.  Most people cannot cope.  If you can go a month, you’ll be a great hermit.  Otherwise, be honest with yourself.  Can you drop out and hide, or not?  If you can’t stand being snowed in, stay in town.
*
This whole book/discussion I’ll assume you WANT to be a hermit, and can stand to be.  You don’t need to swear off people, but you must be able to stay away for long periods without being needy.  Being a hermit allows you to stay, mostly, enough, hidden. Strategically it is your best bet for surviving.  Which kind of bites the tribe thing in the ass.  Tribes are necessary as it is a beneficially self supporting mechanism.  One person obviously cannot breed and fight and manufacture and guard and everything else a group can do.  So, how do we fix that?
*
First, you have to know that if you’ve done something as drastic as constructed a hermitage, you obviously understand that this die-off will be unlike any other die off in the history of forever.  No other civilization, no matter how rich or productive in rapine, ever, never, ever came anywhere close to being as overpopulated as we are.  Never.  Not close.  At its peak the entire Roman empire was about 60 million.  That is all of Europe and North Africa and the Levant.  Today, JUST the country of Italy has almost as many people, with Europe itself the equal of the entire globes population back then.
*
Today, JUST New York City itself has a bigger population that the entire Thirteen Colonies did at independence.  Coal and oil alone are responsible for this population, and they alone feed that many.  How can anyone believe that this die-off at the end of the Oil Age won’t be a 99 point something % die-off is beyond my comprehension.  So if you know every-friggin-body is going to die, overall, you know ONLY a hermitage has a good chance of success.  Obviously, not the ONLY chance.  But if you are resource poor, that is your only realistic one.
*
Nobody is going to form a tribe with you.  Nobody thinks like you.  They refuse to draw out today to its logical deadly conclusion.  Myself, I’d call the More Than A MRE Case And A Gun level of preppers at around 30k ( old number of American Survival Guide subscribers, old Rawles blog visitor numbers, give or take ).  These are the active, daily participants.  600 read my blog, which for nearly twenty years ( in various incarnations ) has been mostly ignored by all others in this publishing niche.
*
I’ll give Rawles his due-he did mention me once or twice, more than any other actual survivalist publication ( again, my issue with Rawles is NOT doctrinal. It is squandered opportunity as his blog jumped the shark.  I might have sharp words for his dangerous advice, but I always used to respect him nonetheless ).  But by and large everyone ignores my far too difficult advice.  As readers here, being barely over 1% of the harder core survivalists, your chances of finding anyone serious enough to actually properly prepare approach near zero.  You’ll find others, but you won’t find any truly serious ones.
*
Which pretty much leaves you all alone.  Hermit or not.  And as if that wasn’t bad enough, not only are you surrounded by posers who have no true interest in any kind of dampening of their luxury lifestyle, you also are surrounded by the scum and villainy of the universe ( was that a Star Wars reference?  I noticed it as I wrote it, although I’m sure I’m off slightly.  Yeah, there was only ever one Star Wars, as far as I’m concerned ).  Who will, with as close to zero additional prompting as possible, want to actually kill you.
*
As in dead.  Let us put this into perspective.  A women you thought loved you, who had your children, doesn’t care whether you have enough money left over after the divorce so as to be able to eat properly enough to stay healthy, nor does she care if you get run over on the bicycle that was your only transportation.  What makes you think ANYONE, at all, anywhere, will give two craps about killing you for a mere scrap of bread, or for your potential as stew pot fodder?  If your child’s mother doesn’t care if you die, why would anyone else?
*
This isn’t hyperbole utilized to scare you straight into accepting my personal pet theories on the coming die-off.  This is an honest question, that if you honestly answer, you will see how much danger you are in as civilization collapses.  Absolutely nobody cares if they have to kill you to benefit themselves.  And that includes almost every potential tribal member you could recruit now.  Because if they aren’t serious enough to prep like you ( NO luxuries, five to ten years of food, dozens of cases of ammo rather than boxes, and etcetera ), they will end up killing you for what you have.
*

note: Kindle Unlimited ( KU ) books.  So well written it was worth the paper book price, farmers revolt novel here .  Another well worth the paper price, suburban survival here .  I really loved this first in a series on economic collapse ( mixed feelings on sequels ) here .  A news story on M. Ruppert ( probably a hack job, but sounds at least interesting ) here .  "The Laws Of Physics Are On My Side" was so damn good I've read it two or three times, and worth having the paper version here .  Overpopulation here .
*
note: free book.  Zombies, but it looks heavy on the super ninja spec-op combat so you poodle shooters got that going for you here .

  1. You, as a Minion are the only one to know yourself and what you are about and capable of. Therefore, you do not know IF anyone else is up to task to be beneficial to you and not a deadly threat come collapse game time. (Some will be "lucky" exceptions to have friend or family that got your back. Too rare to be statistical) If a Minion can be self disciplined, be a busy body with survival tasks, alone-ness need not be lonely to the point of mental and health detriment. The hermitage option is a much better option when considering the too many mouths population, the complex resource dependant systems, the soft and ignorant human populations, etc. These factors improve the hermitage choice survival odds over any tribe confederations fraught with it's more numerous possible problems.

    1. Last sentence, yes, agreed. But again, you MUST test yourself with a period of seclusion. Some folks are far too extroverted.

  2. Ol' Remus has mentioned you way more than twice though you may not consider him a survival writer. Just saying.

    1. I love 'Ol Remus. He really is one of the true fans ( who also publishes ). However, I don't REALLY consider his site a survivalist one. I don't know why. This isn't being critical-his is far better than a "pure" site. More rounded. It just doesn't spring to mind when I think of the industry publications.

  3. Yes Jim. I agree the hermit plan will be much better choice than trying to tribe up with what will mostly be mobs. There is no longer a cohesiveness to the human soup base stock. It takes too long (generations) to attain a full enough cooperation and structure. Military, industrial, training periods take a long time, needs lots of support structures, and are marginally successful. These only limit the friendly fire fratricide incidents and barely curb the monkey poop flinging infighting. Avoid that scene, stay in the cave or hidey hole.

  4. Saw the UPS guy the other day. We stood out in the driveway and chatted like cellmates. Talked about bitches, drinkin', guns, all kinds of good stuff. I even opened the box he delivered and showed him the stuff I ordered. A "Quigley Down Under" DVD. (I've never seen the whole thing and never seen the beginning - may watch it in full tonight. A 4 pack of camo/silver mylar blankets from Remus recommend this week. And another Gerber Quick Draw knife for in my vehicle. He drooled all over that shit. Now, my hermit ass is wondering if he'll come back here at night and make me put a bunch of high speed holes in his ass.

    2. He may already be social site chatting your ole' lady. She'll spike your punch, then be rolling with him, he with your gear. Started the grooming contact unbeknownst to you previously when out of the compound for townie business. U.p.s. and postal are deep state informants. they get bonuses and get out of jail passess. Let's go over this again, TRUST NO ONE!

    3. Everyone is a deep state informant. That is where the money is. I'm still looking for it :)

    4. What we have here folks, by way of Lonest Wolf Productions, is a simulated demonstration of potential downfalls from a hermitage lifestyle if one becomes desperate for social interaction. If you're a people person than the hermit life is not for you. If you have a long history of keeping yourself busy on your own accord than a hermit life may work.

While our UPS guy has been coming here for years and our rural mail lady is the same one from day one, they know nothing of us except what they casually observe, from the end of our 200' driveway and the return addresses on the parcels.

Our weaknesses are the connections to the outside world. We keep them few but keep them we do and I understand the risk. I'm not ready to go all uni-baumer just yet.

    5. No, you need SOME interaction. Always. One a year visits are for super crazy dude. Connections themselves are not the weakness. It is the number of connections and the frequency. Once in awhile, verses never, but not too often, verses most folks multiple times a day.

    6. Well, it's now been almost 5 months since I least seen the only other person on this planet that I would consider a tribe member. My neighbor down the road. His front door is about 800 feet from mine the way the crow flies, according to google maps. But I rarely see him. We email and text now and then. I last saw him in mid-June and gave him my 300X spotter scope to camouflage and haven't seen him since. I even bought a case of his favorite brew for payback at the time and it sits in cold comfort in the 40 degree garage waiting for him to get done with it. I suspect I know what my xmas gift from him this year will be.

Fortunately I have my wife to keep me company. It's true, that if you can put up with 30 years of rough road you will be rewarded with mostly un-rough road the rest of your life, regarding lifemate. Because we aren't the same person, and she is female and I'm not, we will never be 100% compatible, so she has her house and I have my office/garage/workshop and we pass like ships throughout the day and night. We do just enough fraternizing to keep from killing each other. If not for her, desperation might set in and turn me into an idiot. Little head becomes less dominant by about age 60.In a way I'm 10 years old all over again. Kinda curious about the softer sex but not enough so to detract from things I really like.

  5. Articles like this are why I keep coming back. The population on the earth are being held up by energy pure and simple. The smart folks may come up with a means to change sun or wind into electricity in a better way than today but that would probably not help the farmers much. I really liked the way you integrated the old time populations into today's population. It makes it really stand out instead of a parabolic graph.

  7. “You need a tribe to survive” is one of the survivalist/prepper mantras that everyone drones on about, and they are actually correct. You do need a tribe.”

It’s not as much bad advice, as it is generally outdated advice. Culturally, whites have been broken, and have lacked the cohesiveness that made them a force to be reckoned with for going on 60 years now. The disintegration of the age old synergistic relationship between males and females ties directly into this as well.

Oh sure, minority groups victimize each other plenty. The main difference is that they will put aside any differences long enough to align for the common interest of “sticking it to whitey” when the chips are down. Compare that to at least half the whites out there that will side with the minorities against their own tribe. Of course, this will end badly for them. I’m hoping that the street cams are up and running long enough as the dark hordes descend upon them; a look of terror on their faces as they scream “but I voted democrat”! just as the machete connects with their necks, sending heads rolling down the gutter, in a friendly little game of ghetto 10 pin :D

If you’re already living in a rural area, there should hopefully be enough potential tribe members to choose from. I’m of the opinion though that only the most rural and hardy of whites are going to have what it takes to persevere until the end.

    1. Ah, okay. Thank you. I talked about that in other articles and forgot to add it here. So, next two or three chapters will be 1. everyone thinks they are Alpha, 2. old and feeble, and 3. whites no longer a tribe, as supporting arguments for hermitage. Two out of three minion ideas. You guys are making me look better.

Age makes it easier to be a hermit as you slowly realize what scum humans are as u grow older.combine that with the fact most serious peppers are old white guys unless theirs a stocked supply of Viagra somewhere we could have a 100 percent die off:)
