cop tribe 2 of 2

COP TRIBE 2

The police have always been their own tribe.  The thin blue line.  Politicians within that organization were not part of the tribe, nor were politicians in charge of the tribes politicians.  See the early Dirty Harry movies for an illustration.  Segments of society not criminals yet not regular citizens ( stepping outside the cultural norm ) were also viewed as politicians were.  These were the enemy.  The tribe of cops united against these elements.  Citizens by and large supported and voluntarily complied with the police, especially pertaining to keeping the status quo.

*

And while cops were their own tribe, they were part of the community.  Theirs was a competitive rivalry.  They were apart and better because they were the protectors, but they still were part of the community.  There was a rough equality with the police and the community.  It was like different MOS’s in the military.  Each group thought they were better, but they were all part of the same military branch.  And any extra privileges the police had, namely being the final arbitrator, were compensated by their responsibility and exposure to danger.  It was a stable dynamic in the community.

*

And then all that changed, as society disintegrated ( there is little difference between the 60’s Weathermen planting bombs and the Leftards today wanting to disarm us-both groups of social subversives are dangerous ).  The police might not have been very polished back in the day.  If you disturbed the peace, you might get the crap beat out of you by a cop.  There was still plenty of Frontier Justice.  But that also kept the riff raff out.  Racial discrimination by the police kept the minorities in their neighborhood ( and you can bet none of the taxpaying Whites had any problem with that ).  But the cops were at least honest about it all.  Don’t disrupt their neighborhood and they didn’t mess with you.

*

The police are now oh so much more “edumacated and professional” now.  They went to college.  And a lot of them suck at being cops.  Because a college degree doesn’t make you a cop.  You either have an aptitude for the work, or you don’t.  You are either aggressive tempered with intelligence and wisdom, or you are not.  This is why so many cops are hyper aggressive, because they have no natural intelligent aggressiveness.  They only have fear for when their pussy-ness is discovered and challenged ( I won’t touch the obvious issue females have in this regard ), so they over compensate and project the illusion of confidence and competence.  Then react badly.

*

We could get into a whole discussion about the influence of a feminized society on its LEO community, but I don’t wish to digress unduly.  This is going to remain a two part-er only.  Suffice it to mostly blame the move from peace keeper to law enforcement agent that is dictated by the change in society just discussed.  But these soy boys in uniform ( because bureaucracies and corporate run organizations don’t run on merit, you don’t get to flunk inaptitude.  You must hire with the schooling.  Anyone who can fill in a #2 pencil shaded bubble can potentially be a cop.  Even Soy Boys ) tend to corrupt and change the entire cultural dynamic of the police ( as if political change wasn’t enough ).

*

How do you run an industrialized centralized army?  You take every marginally physically able 18 year old, give them minimal training and send them into the meat grinder.  Those that survive despite the training, with On The Job training, do so primarily as a bonded combat unit.  By learning to fight together, they survive.  And that is almost how the police do it, now.  Because most police no longer have the aptitude to perform as lone marshals, you see them instead relying on group swarming tactics ( and most of the reported “police gone wrong” encounters the result of the team not responding quickly enough ).

*

This creates a much stronger tribal unity, since they are now bonded through combat.  With the police back in the day, not only was there no sense of operating behind enemy lines-because the citizens supported you and you them rather than opposing them-there was less combat unit bonding.  Look, it stands to reason that when you are in a tense situation and your buddy pulls up in his cruiser and saves your bacon just in time, you are naturally going to be relieved and grateful and more inclined to stand by him regardless, in the future.  Which means if he acts inappropriately, you have his back.  You cover for him.  This reinforced negative behavior.

*

It wasn’t like cops of old didn’t have back-up.  It doesn’t mean they didn’t overwhelm using shock and awe.  It just means that as cops become more like inexperienced infantrymen doing anything to help his squad mates, and beholden ONLY to them, there is going to be a natural drift away from the community.  The cops become much more insular.  Us against them, where Them is everybody else, even or especially the citizens they are supposed to be protecting.  Danger and deliverance from danger is an imprinting event and breeds sometimes unreasonable loyalty.

*

And this is why you should fear the police.  Not because they are bad people or hate you ( although plenty are and do ), but because institutionally they are very tribal now.  Tribal to the point of dysfunction.  Okay, ALL tribes are like that.  I mean, they have become a decentralized tribe.  No longer part of the city or state or country, but their own small unit beholden to no other.  They are no longer part of the people they are supposed to serve.  ALL tribes act like this.  All for us, none for any other.  Our tribe is the True People, all others are enemies and get none of our considerations.

*

In a tribe, you have a council of elders who are the final arbitrator.  If you screw up, and the consensus says you are to be punished, you are.  The elders are just another person of the same tribe, but if you break the rules they have the authority to hurt you.  The rest of the time, they have no more power than you do.  That USED to be how the cops were.  A village elder.  Now, they are the goon squad of the faraway king and you are the peasants who must be lashed to perform to a higher expectation.  The enforcers of law are no longer part of your village, but apart from and not accountable to.

Good times!

This is even reinforced more when the majority of the LEO's in your area are not from there.

People from Rural areas go to the city to be LEO's to get "experience" and city LEO's go to rural areas to retire, relax, or having a mess to hide.

Then you have them looking down on the locals and only really knowing other LEO's.

They act like their in occupied territory since they are the outsiders.

    And will treat you accordingly.

Yet they screen out anyone with an IQ above 100 (which anyone with an IQ above, tends to make wiser choices with regards to occupation). Though be fair, that probably says more about the quality of a modern education than it does about the swine themselves :D

    1. It doesn't say anything good about the institution, since they place paper degrees over experience or aptitude. I don't think most folks realize the failings of higher ed or LE organizations, so they could be excused.

    1. I was confused by your comment, then it hit me. Of course! Pigs, bacon. Completely unintentional. But I'll gladly take credit.

  4. Here in ruralville, over the past say 5-8 years, all the old sheriff cars (big white Crown Victorias) were done away with and now they all drive black SUV's with a small non-descript decale on the doors. The rooftop lights have been disguised. If one comes up behind you it has to get pretty close before you can tell it's a cop.

    Did you know this?
Criminals are stealing power meters from vacant homes. Just the inside part, inside the glass dome. They then plug that part into another vacant house and have full power and the electric co has no way to know it.

Typically, when someone moves and calls the elect co to turn the power off they will pull the meter, turn it 90 degrees and stick it back in and put a blue seal on the bottom. Criminals can frequently see that blue seal from the street, indicating a vacant house. They can move right in! Then they set up their meth labs, etc. If a nosy neighbor comes by just invite him in for a drink and give him an acid bath and flush him down the sewer.

Last summer they converted all the meters around here to the type that sends a radio signal so the meter readers don't come around any more.

    1. I've heard bad things as far as digital meters. Of course, they are probably all run on Windows.

    2. They are rfid, water meters, natural gas meters, electric meters all send signal to their trucks as they just drive by once a month taking readings. My ears ring from all the signals bouncing around from everything pinging about. They'll sign you up to control your a/c in the summer to reduce peak demand (shuts off ten minutes every
hour-end up sweating in house) they can calculate your usage versus neighbors/average. Expect to be shamed by the green police and comrade block captain for overconsumption offenses. Gluttonous american swines contributing to climate change.

    4. @1:44, they did that in Florida some 12-15 years ago, and maybe still. I'm not there so I don't know. They would cause the AC to throttle down in the middle of the summer afternoons right when you need it the most. My genius brother installed a 100amp subpanel in his garage and moved his AC circuit to that and they never throttled him again.

A friend from the old Czechoslovakia whose parents escaped there back in the late 60's, used to say, "When the rules get tougher the people get sneakier."

  5. Probably the best course would be a partial or majority of tasks privatization of law enforcement. (Schools too!) Neighborhoods/sectors can be cordoned off somewhat and contract security can handle most or all peace officer duties. They could be blackwater/executive outcomes type operations, once the rat's nest is cleaned out and rules of the new tribe laid down, a return to mayberry can be obtained. Major cases can be coordinated with detective types. Head of households can rotate assignment duties acting as an intermediary like a "Comrade Block Captain".
