coasties protect food 1 of 2

COASTIES PROTECT FOOD

There are some occupations that command respect.  Firefighters, except for a few heavily Unionized big city departments or run by those idiots that insist on diversity rather than merit, are overwhelmingly volunteer organizations ( at least in the Red areas we care about rather than the Quisling HQ’s ).  Some occupations loudly insist that we respect them.  Teachers might be underpaid, unlike the admins who run the bureaucracies, but there was never anything noble about compulsory indoctrination.  You could argue that an educated populace is a better, more civilized one, but then you could make that kind of argument for any kind of policy from a dictator.  I mean, hey, Stalin modernized Russia’s economy, so those Gulags were okay, right?

*

Some occupations deserve respect even if they might not seem to.  Being a cop is a thankless job.  There is that 10% on the force who are incompetent bullies who make you look bad, the boss is a politician with no grounding in reality, and the law makes you a baby-sitter and a arbitrator of behavior you waste most of your time on rather than your primary purpose of keeping the peace.  You are also co-opted by the FedGov Goons to enforce their hegemony.  The stress does your body no favors.  Not to say you can trust cops, because you can’t.  They have no loyalty to you and are their own tribe.  Belonging to a tribe automatically excludes outsiders.  Nothing personal, but that is what it is.

*

Some occupations deserve zero respect, but receive way too much.  I’m specifically thinking of Coasties, members of the Coast Guard.  I’ve always had a bit of a jaundiced eye towards the accolades they receive, just from their participation in the War On Drugs.  The Army makes no pretense that their job is to kill you.  The Coast Guard hides behind search and rescue to command respect, without acknowledging their roll in filling drug boats full of fifty cal holes.

*

I know a lot of you will start hating me now ( not sure why it took so long ) because I dared question the motive of those selfless hero’s who risk their lives saving drowning sailors.  But let’s look at this from another point of view.  If the police were allowed to fire upon a fleeing vehicle suspected of carrying drugs, then in their spare time worked SAR ( search and rescue ) in the forest, are they asswhores or good guys?  They might believe themselves to be pure and holy, but actions should speak louder than words.  Hitler honestly thought he was saving his people from the greedy banker Jews ( and unlike most politicians, was there to help, not profit ).  Oh, Hell No!  Did he just go there?

*

I’m not likening Coasties to Hitler, so relax.  I’m merely saying that if the Germans thought they were defending themselves ( like we do, drone attacking wedding parties in the middle east ), but were judged evil, shouldn’t all be judged on actions rather than intentions or motivations?  What is good for the goose is indeed fitting for the gander.  I just read an amusing little ditty, going something along the lines of “people don’t think rationally, they merely rationalize their prejudices”.  Damn, I should have copied that one down, along with its source.

*

Now, what got me all worked up into a lather over the Coast Guard, besides just my normal propensity to hate ( which is a superior survival skill, FYI )?  There was an article about the port of Houston over at Energy Skeptic dotcom, and the threat of terrorist attacks ( 3-29-2018, to write the date in American rather than commie ).  Our bestest buddies the Coast Guard was, along with the county sheriffs, tasked with protecting us against terrorists attacks.  Okay, this is all fine and dandy.  25% of all our imported oil comes through Houston, and a third of ALL our crude refining happens here.  If Houston goes, so, literally, goes the economy.  It will almost be as bad as an EMP attack.

*

So, the US Coast Guard, our hero’s, right?  I should apologize right now, right?  Well, let’s settle down for a second, first.  Remember, it was the Coasties that sold their souls in the War On Drugs.  Nobody comes out smelling like roses once they dip their beak into the bloody body parts profit of combating drugs.  Oh, forgive me, I forgot. It’s for the children!  By all means, let’s suspend the Constitution.  And the Bill Of Rights.  Which include the second amendment.  Just saying.  If they collected their thirty pieces of silver once, they will do it again.  And they did, in the War On Terrorism.  None of those combatants are very clean of soul, either.

*

( and to be clear, just as I absolve the rank and file in the military of any involvement of occupation or colonization, I also don’t blame the lower ranks in the Coast Guard.  Puppets and pawns, put to the rack if disobeying.  And at their tender age, they don’t know crap anyway.  The leadership, yes, those I blame.  And if you went career, you are part of the leadership, more often than not )

*

First, the “noble and just and pure” organization spent lots of time combating drugs.  Now they do that and combat terrorism.  But here is the thing.  You can’t blame drugs for peoples stupidity and you can’t blame freedom fighters in foreign lands for a false flag event here.  Both wars are just government wars against her own people.  The next logical step, for the warriors from both conflicts, is outright oppression of the population.  No more pretending, no more velvet glove over an iron fist.  Just pure combat against all who oppose.

*

And the Coast Guard, already being stationed at the energy choke point, will be one of the first to help suppress the American people.  For to feed the people, you first need fuel.  Control the fuel, control the food.  Hail, valiant oppressors!  I’ll continue tomorrow.

Not me, I love bashing puddle jumpers. Knee deeps can take a flying leap. In the interest of full disclosure, I am ex USN.

    1. I was always embarrassed having to wear a cunt cap, but then I realized at least I wasn't wearing an orange juice squeezer on my head. Damn squids! :)

    2. HA HA HAAA! "juice squeezer"...never heard that one before!

Yeah, that dam cunt cap was the first thing to hit the can when I got out. Was like wearing an upside down canoe and never would stay on properly. The way they're made they keep trying to go upwards.

    3. I was near Peal my first unit-plenty of squids to "admire" since we were a mixed service intel base.

  2. The Army made "every Soldier, Special" with the mandatory beret. Ball caps and boonie keep your eyes from burning better.

    1. Meh. For ten cents more each you get modern manufacture, boxer primed thick case PPU brand on the 303. The beret fiasco was after my time ( plenty of other fiasco's during my time, of course ).

    2. It wasn't after my time even though I was in from 1974-78. 5 months in training and 37 months in Wildflecken, Ger. My last 7 months were at Fort Campbell in the 20th Engineers and I was required to have a burgundy beret, 2 of them in fact. At my expense. $18 each.

Look, when I got to Campbell I was already short and taking on more military expenses was the last thing on my mind. Do 3 years in Wildflecken and you'll see what I mean. I was finally given an ultimatum to get the dam berets or start wearing a steel pot. Next morning there was a beret on my ass. Still have one, under a plastic bag with my class A's in the back of the closet.

    3. My last station was 2nd ID Korea. I tossed the class A's jacket rather than look at that sumbitchen unit patch.

  3. Yes, continue with this theme. Look at these current "conflicts" and it all is based upon controlling lines of demarcation (real estate). The result is always sick and malnourished civilians on the other side. Our military and especially state, federal leo units are adept at cutting things off. (For your safety ma'am please turn around go back) minions should not expect that amazon trinket or doo-dad they were giddy about getting when they mouse clicked:buy now button.

  4. Portland loves FLIR. People get the little thermal adapters for their phones. $Too-fitty, or treehunnert bux for a fragile toy.

    1. It seems like those damn FLIR's have been causing sexual fantasies for twenty plus years now. I think one of the first Hollywood depictions was a Tom Clancy book to movie with Harrison Ford. Patriot Games? The Generals were sitting around watching the SpecOps attack on the terrorists, shown with FLIR.
