MACRO PLAN
Most survivalism focuses primarily on
the micro. It is family and family
domicile centric. Not to suggest that
you are ignoring the Big Picture. That
is the whole reason you are prepping ( global economic collapse, global
overpopulation, severe weather returns and Peak Oil ). But I think far too many of us see all this
commotion and danger and simply pull into our shell and try to shrink our world
view down to a sane and manageable level. The Hermitage Strategy is an extreme
form of this. I’ve been Turtle Shelling
for ten years and it was glorious.
*
I’m not sure how much of my peace and
tranquility was achieved as for the first time in my life I’m sheltered from
the evil universe with supplies and
experience, or how much was simple isolation.
It is nice that I’m rent and debt free, nice I’m as prepped as possible,
but good Lord is it nice to have a huge buffer zone around me where most of the
rest of humanity who has little interest in intruding. I love how most people dismiss the desert, “mer,
no trees, blech!”. Thank you! You and the other 99%, go hug your tree.
*
The problem for me, and I’d image
others, is that as prepared and nicely isolated as we are, Something Wicked
Cometh. The rest of the country has not
been satisfied that we surrendered like a bunch of pussies. They went from leaving us alone to actively
pursuing us where we had retreated to.
They weren’t content with ruining the last civilized enclaves of
colonized resource extraction areas by encouraging the internal rot from crack
cocaine ( you know an organized official somebody is getting hookers and blow
from the Chinese raw material importation racket ).
*
They weren’t satisfied with knocking
the 45-65 age group out of the work force.
Or eliminating almost all college positions. Or making all new hires Diversity Only. They had to destroy the last self-employment opportunity
we had, and to send in Diversity Troops to take over the cities in our rural
areas. I would have added, “ramped up
the cultural war against us”, but that ship left port fifty years ago. Well, so did the urban takeover, but the
current push for gun control was about shoving out the Deplorables who wanted
to stay for the few jobs left.
*
It was one thing to be economically
persecuted. That is nothing new. That has been the lot of the non-elite for a
very long time. Yes, I’m grateful that
we eliminated chattel slavery so as to spare the capital intense
machinery. I’d much rather be a wage
slave. The hours are better, and if the
economy had done better just a little bit longer we would have seen bacon
flavored everything. I like that
trend! So what the meat is toxic. It was BACON.
I accept that in exchange for the illusion of wealth sharing and freedom
lite, I’ll be a happy slave.
*
Think about it. In exchange for your cooperation you got 24/7
entertainment, a belly ALWAYS bloated from excess ( cheaply ) and although
isolated and unsatisfied, in the main left undisturbed. You THINK the alternative is true freedom,
but that isn’t how the system works. The
system has NEVER been about freedom. It
has always been about those in control of the food allowing you to eat. We lost that control as individual tribes at
least seven or eight thousand years ago.
The Agricultural Revolution gave birth to elite controlled food
production. Libertarians will never be
invited to that table.
*
Gunpowder NEVER made all men
equal. Gunpowder production is an
Industrial Age process, as are the armies that use it. Industrial production is just as centralized
as Agricultural production ever was. Just
because a peasant can grow their own food or their own gunpowder doesn’t mean
they are outside the control system of the central government. There are a few places more free, such as
Afghanistan, and pre-petroleum the Appalachia’s, sort-of Switzerland, to an
extent Mongolia, where there isn’t enough geology suitable for centralized
farming. But these are the exceptions to
the rule, aren’t they?
*
I’m not surprised that the surplus is
running out that allowed the wage slaves to be so well bribed. I’m not surprised that the AmComParty is
eliminating one perk after another for the Deplorables. That is to be expected as they eliminate our
wealth. But taking our jobs is one
thing, and eliminating our replacement is quite another. We moved into Internet Commerce, and it
simply doesn’t pay all that much. Yes,
there are a few Stephen King’s and James Patterson’s of YouTube and Patreon,
but that is the 1/10th of a percent actual contemporary success there
always is for rock stars.
*
99.9% percent of the online
alt-economy are the weekend Bar Mitzvah bands, just making van gas and food
money. Few are the bands putting out
platinum records. So, of course, the low
hanging fruit are the high earners. How
long before the little guys making chump change are targeted? And that is what I mean by Them coming after
our new jobs. Not to take them over like
they did our gigs in the regular economy, to take over a “real” paycheck, but
just to destroy them out of spite and hate.
This is how we are losing the economic war.
*
I heartily applaud the strategy, as
an outside observer. You want to
marginalize a potentially rebellious population, you take away their ability to
participate in the regular economy. As
one of the targeted, I’m not too fond of this age old practice, of course. It isn’t TOO bad, yet. Right now, a glorious opportunity is still
available to us, to guerrilla economics the situation. Sure, YouTube stiffed a lot of us. So, you move into another revenue
stream. Gillette just went full retard
AmComParty on us. Everyone is boycotting
them. Smell an opportunity?
*
How about “The Deplorable Razor
Company”? It will take a smidge of
start-up capital, but not an obscene amount.
Just buy bulk amounts of single edge safety razors and replacement
blades on E-Bay and get the Internet to do most of your marketing. I didn’t even think this up myself. Black Rifle Coffee Company is a great model (
but you can’t just be successful with the name-you have to be new and original
and spunky-entertaining, even. THEN some
folks will put their money where their politics are ). And hey, if you do the razors, don’t forget
your favorite author here.
*
The point isn’t that we can shuck and
jive and survive the economic assault.
We can, but that is no cause of celebration. Because the undeniable fact is, we are still
forced to constantly retreat, both physically and economically. You can call it a Soviet Model Of Strategic
Retreat, but all we have for a Scorched Earth tool is our boycotts. And as great as that is, I don’t think it is
working anymore. Dick’s is still selling
sporting goods. Disney is still making
movies. And Procter & Gamble is
still selling HBA. Oh, and Patreon is
still in business.
*
I’ll continue tomorrow. The macro aspect of the economic and
territorial war against the Deplorables and how to react going forward. Just beware, it might be a predicament rather
than a problem.

Following. Minions should be wise, and not fall into any pitfalls of wanting to strike out and become a "SRW" (social revenge warrior). The macro level dynamics are way too powerful and has too much monentum to be affected by one or even a bunch of SRW deplorables taking any actions. That energy or resource and time expenditures are better directed at their own prepping, betterment, or triaging from the collapse effects on them personally. It is indeed more and more difficult to insulate and protect from these forces and influences. I think an only option is to attempt to be an island and try to wait out the flood, or be a stay behind element that although surrounded and behind enemy lines still functions as somewhat autonomous or is resolute enough to be largely unaffected by macro influences. Difficult either way but Minions are short on options.
ReplyDeleteHere, here! Very good. You are not a squeeky wheel getting grease, but a nail sticking up waiting the hammer.
DeleteGame the system in your own way. Steal toilet paper and papertowels from gov't entity restrooms. Lounge around in libraries etc. and use all free resources. Apply for possible bennies from the host body to get yours before collapse. It may be contrary to belief systems, but those values are last century anyway comrades.
DeleteThey are three generation removed value systems. Just don't steal the library TP. That is money away from books.

On my first visit to Wilder (linked not recommended by Bison), his site had this outstanding YouTube video of the Mongolian nationalist art project:
The HU Band performing their Wolf Totem.
Mongolia, as in Attila the Hun. That Mongolia.
According to the translation, the lyrics repeatedly use the word 'obliterate'... as in 'you are gone from memory'.
I think that about sums it up.
In my time remaining, fighting and voting and public gnashing of teeth seems counter-productive. In firearms classes at the indoor range, I mention Newton's Third. This usually gets blank looks.
Since most Bison readers escaped school decades ago, I'll re-cap:
Sir Isaac Newton.
Third Law.
Every action creates an equal opposite reaction.
By ignoring goofballs such as 'commonists' as my four Irish grandparents called them, I watch the goofballs run out of steam. Full throttle headlong in no particular direction.
This's my reason for retiring to a coastal cruising boat, alongside a few others of similar bent. Beaching on remote islands such as the Inside Passage, Seattle to Juneau. Remote peninsula such as Sea of Cortez around Baja.
With no goofballs to see me, I'm as good as invisible. The downside? Based on my experiences in Baja, folks tend to be a lot like me.
Not sure how that is a downside. If most folks were like me, it would be a more perfect place. Just saying.
DeleteDid I mention the title of my soon-to-be-writ autobiography?

"And Procter & Gamble is still selling HBA."
ReplyDeleteSorry, but what does HBA stand for? None of the search engine references I saw seem to fit your statement...
Too much time working in the retail sector, my bad. Health & Beauty Aids
DeleteSpeaking of diversity hires, I spoke to tech support at my cell phone company just the other day. The gentleman (whose race shall go unmentioned, but was a dusky fellow that hails from the second most populated continent on the planet :D ) informed me that I needed an additional piece of hardware to perform a task, that I knew full well that I didn’t need to perform said task. And he actually insisted on it with confidence. There’s no way that this dude was not hired based on anything but his demographic, because he was not even able to perform his job on a rudimentary level.
ReplyDeleteThe only way to earn any money on Youtube now, is to upload videos that are innocuous, politically speaking. Any uploads that fall on the “wrong side” of the political spectrum have been demonetized, leaving the channel master to have to rely on Patreon, or similar donations. Some of these people actually made a nice living, before the G_ _ gle nazi’s latest crack down.
Haven’t decided which company to replace Gillette with yet. Those Feather razors that you linked have a pretty good reputation, but I’m afraid that I’d cut the living hell out of myself with a safety razor, as there is a learning curve. I actually have an old safety razor that was my grandfathers. Yes, it’s a Gillette, but it was made long before the pussification of Gillette, and society in general, so I suppose that I can justify using it, if need be :D I might try the Dorco razors next, so if anyone has any input on those, I’d like to hear it.
Yeah, I stopped using safety razors myself long ago when my beard was still soft and innocent. Regular cuts, even after a time. I liked them because of the old trick swirling then around the inside of a drinking glass to resharpen them ( that wasn't what was cutting me-I just switched because of that, but never did it. I just liked the frugal option available ). I went to generic double blade disposables after that and have used those for thirty plus years. I've just avoided the company by being frugal. That might be a better way to go than safety razors.
DeleteRazors are the most heavily couponed and discounted HBA. I find $5 off coupons and then "sale" shelf tags and rarely pay more than thirty cents for a twin/triple-blade in a multi-pack. Lifetime supply packed 10 years ago and still finding enough nearly-free that I'm not nibbling at the stash.

"Build a wall and crime will fall" - crime is not my problem. Traffic density during rush hour will fall by 30%, just like during the Day Without Mexicans. DACA: Deport All Criminal Aliens (that would be all without Status) NOW!
Traffic density should take care of itself with local gov's desperate for taxes, skimping on construction and gas scarcity plus unemployment. I never pay attention to coupons. They are all overpriced brand name. Cheaper to dollar store and generic buy.
