closet commies

CLOSET COMMIES
A Commie under every bed and one in every closet.  Commies, Commies, everywhere.  The “patriot” news outlets, those I frequent as they are somewhat tied to prepping, are all agog about commies here right now this very second awaiting us to drop our guard so that they may enslave us freedom loving whoevers ( many times, the Evil Jewish Conspiracy is thrown in there, as well ).  Books written in the Sixties are toted out as “proof” that the commies have been conspiring against us, a patient crafty folk, these commies.  I’m almost beshatting myself in fear, I tells ya.
*
Look, I grew up during the Cold War, like the rest of you.  I joined Reagans Holy War Against The Evil Empire, like a lot of you.  “Kill a commie for mommy” was a beloved promise, and hope.  We were sincere.  “Red Dawn” wasn’t a fantasy but a wargame.  I was just as much against the Soviet Union as anyone else.  But then, I grew up out of childhood.  I learned to question the wisdom of my elders, because the sneaky bastards had been lying to me for their own gain and enrichment.  I learned to think for myself.
*
I’m not saying that the big lies told by the nation are a bad thing.  All tribes need to believe only they are good and just and all other tribes are evil ( even if they can be used to trade with and find a wife from-they can never be trusted fully as therein lies your doom ).  All religions are used by government as a control mechanism.  All governments lie.  But lying to enrich the elite and lying to protect and advance the people are two different things.  As much as I hate and loathe FDR, his lies at least had purpose.
*
I don’t for a second believe FDR was anything but an evil asshat, totally bought and paid for by the bankers ( the only proof I need is his gold confiscation mere days after inauguration ).  But at least he lied about things which, in some way, still benefited the people as a whole.  Even if the Great Depression was caused by the bankers, there was still no way we could have gotten out of that mess without turning the economy into a total war production machine ( despite what the Austrian economists say ).
*
There is no way we could have survived the 1971 economic crash if we were not colonialists controlling the middle east oil ( we would have ended up as the Soviets did after Afghanistan ).  As much as I despise and hate Lincoln for being the supreme douche canoe of all time, one still has to ask the question, if the Industrial Revolution wasn’t allowed to reign supreme here, would we as an Agrarian economy been able to repel any attempts at colonizing us by a European power?  Sometimes deceit and lies still benefit the people.
*
Perhaps the death of our Republic was actually necessary to save the country.  I don’t have to like that conclusion to acknowledge its truth.  As I don’t like we almost had to fight WWII ( although it wouldn’t have mattered which side we were on, really ).  I say almost, as that could have gone either way.  If we had extended credit we could have become either or both sides arsenal ( the only reason we didn’t, I believe, is the R Family control of FDR ) and stayed neutral.  But be that as it may, another lie you almost have to excuse is that of communism.
*
We hated the communists when it benefited us, when we invaded Siberia around mid 1918.  We loved them when it benefited us at the start of the Second World War.  And I don’t wish to denigrate anyone’s grandpa, but our military back them was little more than cannon fodder ( 6,600 US casualties on D-Day, over 20k at Iwo Jima ) led by raging flaming idiots ( most German problems were from logistics.  What was the excuse for the Americans? ), and if we hadn’t let the Russians kick the Nazi’s asses first, I don’t think we could have prevailed in Europe.
*
I know, blasphemy.  Such as when I merely suggest the possibility of a moon hoax.  Not even saying I necessarily buy into that ( hard to argue with the BS third tower implosion on 9/11, less easy to conclude one way or another the moon landing ), just questioning if the late 1960’s government was less than honest.  You know, because they never lied to us about anything like JFK or Vietnam.  The government was lying to us from centuries before the Revolutionary War, but we HAD to have landed on the moon, right?
*
Our whole economy based on “high technology” might be in danger if we admitted that we weren’t the greatest nation on Earth because we have the best technology ( which OBVIOUSLY explains why three quarters of Silicon Valley workers are foreigners on visa’s ).  Sure enough, we SHOULD have won in Vietnam because of technology! ( “we own the night” ), but those evil commies on the left were traitors and eroded ‘Murican Greatness from within.  Nice scapegoat, yes?  That covers up for a failing economy, Peak Oil, end of imperial greatness and allows the illusion of military greatness.
*
We NEEDED the Russians to be evil again right after the Second World War.  Only full blown balls to the wall military spending had lifted us out of the Depression ( by fudging the statistics, Austrian economists “prove” that the depression was over in just three years.  They claim evil commie FDR prolonged it with socialist spending.  I have nothing against them.  They are good in theory.  But they also must prove their agenda, good or bad ).  And only a Cold War with the spending needed to build a global dominating nuclear army could keep it saved.
*
So the communists became evil, overnight.  We were tricked, we tells ya!  ( It's A Trap! meme ).  Like every good lie, you needed backstory and “proof”.  I am certainly not saying communism is fun, desirable or Not Evil.  I’m saying that communism never was a threat.  We used the threat of communism as an excuse to impose our fascist government ( a little too close to National Socialism to sell to the public ).  And I’d say it wasn’t the worst form of government we have tried.  Better than the Cattle Baron era.  Better than the current Rabid PC Agenda era.
*
It was good because it worked, period.  Without all the philosophical baggage, fascism did make for a very good economy.  We had the factories humming and the great suburban Union Wages middle class prospered.  Population surged ( tell me Turd World immigration surges in our globalist economy is preferable to a fascist White population surge.  I double dog dare you ).  The Nazi’s lifted the starving masses-literally-out of the gutter with fascism, an economy based on total war production.  We emulated them.  And we knew to continue that to continue a performing economy.
*
Don’t forget, it wasn’t the railroads that birthed the American Industrial economy.  It was Total War ( the Northern War Of Aggression ).  You don’t have to agree philosophically with Gott Damn Yankee Colonialization to admit it worked economically.  Realpolitik is a real thing. You know, hence its name.  I don’t think it cheapens my solidarity with the South to point out the brutal ugly reality behind the curtain.  It is well and good to rally to The Lie De Jure as a youth.  Us old bastards are supposed to be a little wiser.  Fun stuff, continued tomorrow.

  1. During the 4 years I was an active duty soldier on foreign soil in this man's army I was a good soldier, for the most part. I did what I was told, growled like an animal, and learned all the soldier stuff they taught. I was a model soldier and have the documentation to prove it.

But they never owned my ass. Not even one little bit. I never trusted them and their lies were elementary school transparent. I learned I was disposable, inconsequential, and the only one looking out for me was me. In a way I am still a soldier, of this one mans army. Mine.

I'll be true to tribe and I'll abide by all the rules, and I will skate across enemy lines and take up my new role if that be the case. I am truly loyal only to me. How could it be any other way? You can't know another man's soul. You can't know what he thinks completely. You can only know you. Everybody pretends to be what the other guy wants them to be as long as it is profitable to be so. When the profit shifts so does the mindset.

I'll be your best huckleberry, if you'll have me.
But I'll always be my own daisy first.

    1. I think if you are born into tribe, indoctrinated at birth on, there will be true loyalty. But today? No.

  2. The threat of communism usually gets rolled out if people might start questioning the gaming of our economy in favor of our corporate overlords. No way we can shift our corporate welfare towards ordinary citizens, why that’s what commies promise. I love the idea of a free market economy, ours just has enough exceptions to corporate kleptocracy to declare it a free market system. It’s only free if you grade on a curve.

  3. Yeah, following along. I think many terms or identifier monikers that once had an icy sting to it when thrown hard at somebody during a playground fight has lost their strength or understood meanings over the generational passage of time. The N word once had gravitas and now is thrown about in common conversation. I think commies and that entire category of political and dogma bent has morphed into a more of a pajama wearing outer imaged "statist". It was a rebranding and marketing schtick to regain traction in the politics and powerplaying game, globally and in many languages, etc. The media and fifth column elements can newspeak the terms and thoughts down a memory hole and have everyone believing the Canadians are the next barbarians coming to ravage your women and children, and will then eat your pets afterwards. Anyway, Most minions will gladly support any master by any name as long as sportsball is on t.v., the alcohol and drugs flow, food slop for stomachs all continue. Collapse, what Collapse? What you be meanin' Willis?

    1. I have to admit enjoying the bread and circuses. Both for the subsidized everyday items and the lack of prepper supply competition. As long as the eye is on the prize.

    2. True too. I ENJOY the debauchery and freak shows during my lifetime. If I get stupid lucky and survive a collapse and die off, I hope to tell those old people stories to kids. You know kids: "back in the day:".

    4. Old Jim with the finest hair rose at the camp fire and spoke "Back when your great grandfather was alive, men used to be able to fly like a bird"

The BPOD Mayor leapt from his seat angrily "Nobody believes you old man! You also said that men walked on the moon. How did they get there? A ladder? And you said it's was possible to talk to people on the other side of the Earth? Did they yell?"

Old Jim sat. He was angry at the disrespect shown. Can they not see he had the finest head of hear in BPOD? Did he not have the largest harem of the finest ladies? Sure, they were attracted to him because he had wheat berries. Still. Jim thought of the two rounds of .303 he had left. Maybe this mayor was worth expending one? That'd leave one for that Jerk in Australia who stacked Rice instead of Wheat Berries.

  4. I read a blog post which covered Soviet movies.

Long story short. The designated bad guys were Nazi's. Americans were portrayed as being well meaning people that are being misled. There was ONE, one "Soviet Rambo" movie that was a non state funded low budget even by their standards.

No "Red White and Blue Dawn" No "Invasion USSR" with Chuck Norris.

    1. Well, sheesh, and we thought they had good propaganda. Or, perhaps, portraying us as Special Ed Kids was more insulting that making us a Big Bad Wolf.

Now that you mention it, it all of suddenly becomes much less believable, following the statement:

“We would have never made it to the moon, if it were not for those brilliant, black, female mathematicians” :D

    1. Just like the gay code breaker Brit saved the world from the Nazi's. Kunstler says the suburbs were our largest waste of resources. I wonder if it isn't PC movie propaganda.

  6. Or, will the TV shows survive digital storage? That might be a blessing. Then Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island will be the survivors ( there is a YouTube vid saying Gilligan's was communist propaganda. I haven't watched it, but it could be interesting in a bizarre world sort of way )

  8. Hairy One,
You've stepped off into crazyland. Commies really were a threat. The WWII reproachment was just a move of desperation. Almost all America decision makers, except NY Times, knew Stalin was a bad guy.
I'm disappointed you took the tack you did as a way to undergird your essay.
I won't debate the FDR economic policies vis a vis the depression but the Soviets were a threat. The short lived Commie takeover of Hungry in the '20s, the "Lvov" incursions into Poland in the early '20s, the chaos of Weimar Germany and the street battles.
Sorry, you flubbed....but your hair still has sheen.

The collusion with the Soviets invading Iran, the invasion of Iceland, the Bonus Army massacre, the Union busting with National Guard troops with squad automatic weapons, the atomic attack on civilians, the Korean War civilian massacres. Testing on civilians with fallout, VD, chemical weapons and brainwashing. Born in American Japanese internment. Abandoning American Territory Philippines to the enemy. We could go all day with examples on either side.

  11. “there is a YouTube vid saying Gilligan's was communist propaganda.”

Interesting. I would have previously thought that its claim to fame was being the worst television show in the history of television :D But it might be interesting to check that vid out. I definitely noticed some of these older shows pushing leftist propaganda, it’s just that compared to now, those old shows seem tame by comparison. The Andy Griffith show liked to push feminist propaganda a good deal. One of the worst in my opinion was The Waltons. Disguised as a family friendly show, but pushed the shit out of feminism, and to a lesser extent, multiculturalism and race mixing (Cue up the episode in which Mary Ellen fell for that ugly, magical beaner, that could kick any any white boys culo with one mano tied behind his back :D ) It didn’t help that the grandpa, was an actual real life communist, that at one time was blacklisted, and also had a faggot relationship with another prominent communist at the time (early hollywood years). Yeah, that dude; the one that starred in Jeremiah Johnson. It was hard to watch that movie ever again without finding myself yelling at the screen:

“Don’t bend over in front of that son of a bitch, Jeremiah!” :D

  12. Should be edited to “Don’t bend over in front of that son of a bitch, Jeremiah!, unless you’re planning on trapping “Butt Weasel”” :D

  14. The "communist angle" was the communal nature of the island society, I think. Yeah, more Hippie than Commie, OR, that could have been what they hide behind. And true, ALSO one of the worst shows ever, and there is a lot of competition.

  15. "I wonder what my social score would be taking into account my hair. 110%?"

In theory, perhaps. But Jimmy’s a bad boy that says a good many things that are not socially approved, and he will likely have to undergo mandatory sensitivity training at some point :D

Yeah, my mother the car was probably some pretty stiff competition for the worst show ever, and I’m sure that there are a good many that I’m forgetting. Ginger and Mary Ann are the only thing preventing me from saying that Gilligan’s Island was totally unwatchable. I Dream Of Jeannie could have had potential, but since we never got to see the major actually bang Jeannie, or for that matter, never saw Jeannie without clothes, it ended up just being a big tease :D
