honey badger stock 2 of 2

HONEY BADGER STOCK 2
Imagine you are a bank.  A central bank, not some Christmas Miracle Mom&Pop retail establishment.  You create money out of thin air and the government pays you interest on that.  No, they don’t just create money to enrich themselves, they need the consent and protection of the government with its monopoly on force.  The interest is their income for doing all the hard work of creating money out of nothing.  Since they had to lower interest rates to keep the economy moving along after their primary resource of oil started declining ( GROSS energy is climbing, but NET energy is declining ), they needed to make many new loans to make up for declining revenue.
*
Oops-ee!  You made too many NINJA loans and enough went bust that you nearly imploded the whole economy ( along with loaning money to all those idiots in local government who thought the housing bubble would last forever, spending on stupid crap like more employees who would then break the pension fund ).  Well, that was a stupid business model anyway.  Only 5% interest?  Screw that!  Take over all the housing and turn them into rentals.  A MUCH better return.  You just pay a property management company a small fee to collect rents.  Then most of that sweet rental income is yours.  And screw maintenance!  We didn’t lose actual money on that construction loan.  At most, just the hypothetical lost interest payments.
*
Every swinging cheese dingus out there lives in the East with a few honorary Yankee Scum on the Left Coast, so the place is just jam packed with insurance customers.  What a sweet deal for more free money.  Oh, CRAP!!! What do you mean we Gore Warmed the planet extracting all its resources and burning all its carbon fuels to make money?!?!  Does that mean we’ll see actual hurricanes?  And have to pay out on insurance claims!  Well, that sucks.  Quick, make medical insurance mandatory.
*
And, WHOA!, what the heck do you mean people are going to want medical care?  We have to pay back on this insurance also?  This is really dipping into my hooker and blow fund, dude!  Kill off those whiney demanding customers with opiates and quack medical practices.  Don’t worry, more healthy 21 year olds will start paying insurance every year to replace profits.  And no, Spankey, I’m not saying this is a giant smoke filled backroom conspiracy.  I’m saying that when you create money you rule the world, and all that is needed is a profit and loss motivation to move levers.
*
The Industrialists elected Lincoln and he was their Meat Puppet.  War was wonderful for the factories.  Obammy was some two bit drug dealing homosexual prostitute from Kenya who gave the bankers, our new overlords since Industrialization declined in profitability, exactly what they wanted.  Insurance money and Student Loan money is a lot more lucrative than the declining work force consumption loans.  That included housing.  When all the loan money saving Detroit jacked up autos to Not Long Ago The Cost Of A House levels, used cars shot up in price and auto loans got a lot more profitable.
*
So, mortgages fell out of favor and rentals made the banks much more money, and all those old loans to suburbia made everyone dependent on cars, which were priced insanely high to make those loans more profitable.  But then, with those two factors, PLUS yearly doubling of medical insurance, and replacing those whiney McDonald’s workers with robots driving up unemployment, suddenly there is close to zero money for shopping at the mall or in any retailer other than fast food.  And even eating out in endangered.  Look at how much trouble Home Despot and notLowePrices got into when the house flipping phase ended.  No one wanted all those granite countertops, warped wood and poisonous Chinese pieces of sheetrock anymore.  Tool companies consolidated into CheapChineseToolCo.
*
Look at the state of the fast food industry.  It takes $10 to fill yourself up, on meat dishes that are 40% sawdust.  I can’t see how more people aren’t cooking at home.  I’m glad they are not, so that 99cents a pound boneless pork doesn’t get jacked up to $4 like it used to be, but I’m amazed the transition hasn’t occurred.  Not much of anything is doing well retail wise ( and the magical Retail Killer Amazon is only making profit off of the stock market bubble ).  Even those companies doing well, such as Kroger and Dollar Tree are in danger due to the loans taken to consolidate.
*
Wal-Mart drove a lot of grocery stores to bankruptcy ( before they themselves were almost there ) and Kroger fed off of that.  But is it sustainable?  Family Dollar who expanded massively ( being too impatient for Dollar General to kill itself doing the same ), AND then bought Dollar Tree.  Which seems bizarre to me as how much longer, even under nominal inflation, can there be dollar stores?  Unless the plan all along is to move a few dollar items into Family Dollar and eventually turn the Trees into Family’s.  Regardless, lots of debt that killed once giants like Woolworth or Sears or Circuit City.
*
If you look at most industries or most businesses, it seems to me that once there is no stock market bubble, and if big banks stop loaning again like they did before, I cannot see ANY retailers surviving as currently structured.  Without cheap loans, I’d imagine 9 out of 10 businesses would go under.  And that is being optimistic.
*
What will remain?  Drive through any ghetto area and you’ll see the nationwide future of business.  Small immigrant run convenience stores for food, if you are lucky a Mom&Pop mini grocery store that actually sells non-junk food, but at near the mark-ups of those convenience stores ( I believe NYC has this model in “bodega‘s”? ) check cashing places and car lots that “only” charge 15% for its better credit customers, 25% for most everyone else.  So say goodbye to low prices, because without low interest loans and the stock market bubble paying profits this is what you’ll get.
*
Will larger retailers survive in the lower rent suburbs?  Sure, at much increased prices.  As the pressure on the cost of auto ownership skyrockets, can you see their customer base staying the same?  Or will the numbers drop?  They either jack up their prices to compensate or they go out of business.  Will there be lots of unlicensed small businesses?  Sure.  But shopping as we know it is going to change drastically.  And soon.

  1. So basically what you are saying is by me owning my land outright, repurposing building materials whenever I can, using transportation that requires no insurance, and getting my healthcare through the VA I am screwing the banks over?

WooHoo! I can live with that ;)

    1. It would be hard to give them any less than you are. See, I knew there was a reason I liked you ( besides being a minion, of course ).

  2. At my income level, I screw the state and federal government also. Maybe I can get ordained and classify my land as church property and get rid of the property tax too. Seems like a lot of work for 25 bucks, so I will wait on that.

    1. As an ordained minister you can have a wedding chapel ( well, perhaps a mobile service ) and it will pay more than just $25 :)

    2. Cha Ching, Flying Spaghetti Monster, here I come!

    3. Oops, sorry. According to Wiki, that is not a recognized religion:

      Church Of Bob?

    4. Lol, something alternative. Regular organized religion chafes my buttocks. At least I wouldn't have to pretend my "services" offered anything more than financial gains to me. Around here, the preachers even talk like an auctioneer.

    5. Church Of Bob, actually Church Of Sub-Genius. Best religion out there, unless you go Discordia. Although, aren't those two somewhat related? Hey, who knows, they could be directly influenced in their founding by Loki, or at least Trickster Coyote.

    6. I had thought about forming The Church Of The High Desert Bison and read your weekly blogs for sermons, but getting it recognized seemed like a lot of hassle, so I just went with ULC. Let me know if you and the NOL decide to get hitched. I will need a round trip bus ticket and food as payment, lol.

    7. I don't hate you enough to put you on a bus. Smoking was the only way to put up with the pond scum of humanity on them, and since they prohibited that...

    8. Here in South Carolina a Notary can perform legal marriages. Cheap, easy to get into and above board. Plus you get a nifty stamper doohickey.

  3. the "under the table work" is booming in here in California. Just go by any Home Depot in L.A. and pick up a day laborer! 50% of the population just jumped the border and is happy to do a half assed job for you

    1. Half assed labor and half assed quality on materials, and we are still over paying.

    2. Caution about whom you let in your sphere. Any one not of your tribe that comes into your compound for work-service is an opsec risk. Fix the toilet or paint, etc. Yourself. Do not leave anything of identifying or indicating in a vehicle when in for service, etc. Who are they? Do you really know. Unless upstanding Morman clan members from neighborhood, etc. Be wary.

    3. Doesn't matter if they are upstanding Mormons, unless you are an LDS'er yourself. Still outside your tribe.

    4. The Mormons were actually a pretty bad-ass tribe to have belonged to at one point in time; the Mormon militia actually standing off US troops to prevent them from entering the Salt Lake Valley. Today, not as much. Like most religions that are too closely connected to our polluted, modern, pop-culture, they too have suffered the consequences. The women have become rather feminist over the years, and they now suffer from a high divorce rate as a result. A few years back I was perusing a few blogs of the youth, and often came across comments to the effect of: “I sure wish that the General Authorities would change their stance on gay marriage,” which in reality, would mean that the prophet would receive revelation from the big guy, that “Tad” playing “hide the trouser trout” in “Biff’s” poop chute, is A-ok 👍 Which as we all know that if there is a god, he certainly ain’t down with that! 💩

In the future, following the collapse, isolated tribes will have a shot at actually raising their youth with decent values, free from the destructive influences of an ethically challenged society. One thing is for certain however, and that’s that no society can survive the damning influences of feminism, which inevitably always leads to complete cultural and tribal meltdown...

    5. The Mormons were badass, but for whatever reason statehood offered more advantages over soverignity. Or, they just knew they couldn't win a major fight. So the prophet got a message saying polygamy was now wrong, to appease the new US masters. I'm sure the General Authorities could change their stance on Butt Pirates for the same reason, so goes the reasoning. By giving in once, you never stop giving in to the bully. They attached to the coattails of the Empire, and it was all fun until someone lost an eye. Brown eye, in this case :) It is fun to speculate whether the church has the willpower to once again cleanse the gentile from their land, come civil disunity. Are they all spoiled Yuppie Scum or can they embrace their forefathers grit? Can the White Warriors rise again or has soft living gone on too long? Interesting times.

    6. Just my take Jim, but I feel that when a civilization has regressed to the point that ours has, there’s no saving it. Just when you think that feminism could get no worse, it does, and not only do most men not push back against it, most still defend it?????

Now what could happen is that following a massive die off, our society could rebuild itself in a similar vein to the past. I’m sure that there are still a few “Claude Dallas types” residing in the remote areas of the US, and these types will be a force to be reckoned with once the population numbers have been whittled down. At present numbers however, even they don’t stand a chance against the mobs of angry mino’s and leftist antifa types, so it will be a matter of keeping one’s head down for the time being, and banking on a hard collapse handling most of the dirty work for them.

      Delete
    7. Nope, not a snowballs chance in Hell our civilization rights itself. We aren't even having periods of reverse or partial rebuild as the Romans did. You don't recover from Vietnam by making your military as feminine as possible then making foreign barbarians part of the legions. Let alone invite the barbarians in to become citizens. Rome didn't fall to the barbarians-the ones already in invited them in. Talking to you, California. I could go on for several articles. Just keep in mind, folks, that degrading culture is a symptom rather than a cause, even if it accelerates the process. Feedback loops.

    1. The Hippies fell for all that mystical crap, but I don't think it filled the void, since government became their new God ( of course, the already religious push for a State Religion, their brain so fried they can't see the First in line on the Bill Of Rights ). I think most folks are gullible but in their Belief De Jour. Church Of Bob et al are no worse than atheism. Or Gore Warming scientists. But them, all tribes must embrace gullibility to function to a certain extent, least we point fingers too readily.
