INFLATION-HOUSE WINS 3
The one thing that
really irks my ass about homesteaders ( as opposed to survivalists )
is that they think by being food independent their dependence on a
bank for the farm is a good thing. Ah, read any history from the
1930's Great Depression? The OTHER thing that frosts my danglies is
that they live under the assumption of continuation of law and order.
Ah, get out much, at all? You cannot see our InJustice system
melting down? The crime rates ( massaged to more favorably reflect
on the LEO organization compiling the data )?
*
They are so focused on
food independence that they open themselves up for failing from other
areas. The same is true with these Precious Metal idiots. They
think, like traditional middle class schmucks everywhere, that money
will save your ass. And since gold is real money, boom, problem
solved. Why do you think I tell you that silver is about the LAST
thing you should buy? Exactly because it is money. And money only
works when there is a monopoly on violence which allows trade to take
place. Care to guess one of the reasons that we are having issues
economically?
*
The monopoly on
violence is being challenged. We as a nation have been unable to
protect our own citizens for nigh on fifty years now. You look at
all the glittery commerce retail locations ( shop, baby, shop ) and
ignore how trade is being hampered. Notice a lack of grocery stores
in the more Happy Diversity areas? That wasn't the case before.
Yes, the FedGov purposely started and encouraged social break down
for profit, divide and conquer. That doesn't change the fact that
even if we wanted to, we couldn't stop crime.
*
Granted, most resources
went to the War On Drugs and stealing property under that guise. But,
again, when you abandon social cohesion and protection, you lose
cooperation, and you cannot police your territory. Our nation
abandoned law and order for profit and cannot get it back unless the
elite are swinging from lampposts. All of them. You discount the
Bolshie Revolution, but it did eliminate all those who profited off
serfdom ( yeah, literal serfdom, despite a few roll-backs of the most
egregious practices ). The cure might have been worse, obviously.
But that is how they used to get things done.
*
How many malls do you
go to, afraid of the Disadvantaged Youth Gangs? No law and order
there. Care to travel to Dallas Texas, where property crimes under
$800 dollars are not prosecuted? The hew and cry is over either
racism or White Removal, but the underlying reality is that the state
cannot protect its people. So my question to these genius precious
metal proponents is, how do you trade, let alone trade safely? How
is that gold going to do you any good, with the Other Gold Metal,
lead, buried in your cranium? Gold belongs buried, undisturbed, all
through the Break Down and Die Off and Dark Age, only to be retrieved
after order is restored.
*
Yes, you need some
silver. Those property taxes must be paid, and as we saw after 2008,
jacking up those is the primary way wealth is transferred to the
elite getting a bit short on their hookers and blow. Not that you
can really blame the morons in gov throwing pension bribes at the
Unions. The idiots buying into a housing bubble lasting thirty years
voted for the short bus patrons thinking the bubble would last
through the pensions being cashed in. But it WAS a warning to you.
*
The government feels
the tiniest squeeze in its budget, and BOOM!, the property taxes get
jacked up ( here in Nevada, where by state law that amount is capped,
the counties got around that by passing fees tied into the property
value. You know, water district maintenance fee, school improvement
fee-it's for the children!, road improvement fees. Perfectly legal!
NOT a property tax increase! What is the definition of “is”? ).
Those hump sticks in the county are most greedy nasty bastards, and
they in no way feel threatened by voters living nearby. Don't take a
chance on that property tax. AND!
*
Don't forget how
inflation is going to work for those parasites. Oopsie, time to
raise taxes, or Brave Boys In Blue need to be paid ( and the county
level FemiNazi's working for the child support enforcement division,
they won't be losing THEIR jobs. Increased fees on that, regardless
of the federal cap on gross wages going to the ex-wife. It was
already done and approved. Expect this kind of nonsense. Extra fees
on the water, or it gets shut off. Extra fees on EVERYTHING ).
*
So, by all means, a bit
of silver to keep your home. But silver or gold to buy other
supplies? Are you crazed? Word will get around, fast. The
Crackhead Intelligence Services Division knows your schedule and
security system and your possessions. Now. Today. They will sell
that info, or hire on as shock troops, should it be known you have
precious metal. Not to mention, trade will be breaking down
globally. What is to say what you need even comes in? Wheat will be
much better than gold, very shortly, and it is one in the hand rather
than two in the bush. Cheaper, too, right now.
*
How do you prep for
hyperinflation? The same way you prep for an EMP. Be ready to be
self sufficient for long periods of time. You must be independent of
the market system. And no, I do not mean Apocalypse Food. I mean,
Inflation Food. Just as I differentiate between Collapse Food and
Unemployment Food. It is a separate, ADDITIONAL amount of supplies.
I'm not going to dig up my buckets of wheat come unemployment or mass
inflation. I'm not cashing in silver. I'm eating my regular
extended cupboard food. I'm buying more food with the cash I have at
the first sign this is serious inflation, rather than Crop Failure or
Oil Disruption.
*
Speaking of which,
beware those as false flags. We just had two events which might have
been manipulated by the government, which could potentially mask
inflation as a pure monetary phenomenon. The midwest flooding could
have been altered by federal policy of loans and insurance.
Something else no one is talking about. If they wish to bump up food
prices, how hard would it be since BigAg is on on federal corporate
welfare? Also, the Saudi Arabia oil facility attack. We don't even
know how real that was, let alone if they are pumping again or not.
Another attack, even if “real this time”, could influence prices.
*
Commodity ( oil )
prices masking inflation. If we fall for either of these, because we
have no idea of their validity, we would potentially spend all our
under the mattress cash, give the banking industry added liquidity,
and screw ourselves for when REAL, hyper type inflation hits.
Continued tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteIf I experienced an event, I am fairly certain it occurred.
If I did not experience an event but just hear about it second-hand from a party with an interest in influencing me, I have zero evidence it occurred.
So, which is worse, disaster or a rumor of disaster?
"Reports coming from official sources confirm the existence of microbial intelligence potentially influencing world policy makers..."
"With only weeks before the fast-approaching seasonal deadline, officials note a statistical increase in voter re-surgence..."
"Authorities yesterday released photographic evidence of the results of the aborted attack on American-flagged oil-tankers in the Straits Of Hormuz. The expected results on the pump price is uncertain..."
A little rumor, a little profit?
A repeated rumor, a lot of control?
.
.
On a related note:
Why all the blatherings about 'Red-Flag' "...laws..."?
It doesn't scare you, the Minority Report thought crimes? The speed they spread? The precedent they can be used to outlaw Hate Think? The further abuse of the Bill Of Rights, lack of due process? That is why the Red Flag law worry.
DeleteHere in CA property crimes under $950 are not prosecuted. And what is happening?
ReplyDeleteRing Doorbell cameras are recording everyday thieves stealing packages, mail (a felony), and looking for ways to break into homes. What are adults younger than I doing in reply? Posting their alarm on Ring and on Nextdoor Neighbor dot com.
What was Thomas' reply to some of these postings? What did I write that made them yell at me to "stop inserting politics on a friendly neighborhood website."
I wrote, "You need to stop voting for liberal Democrats because they have passed the laws that make theft a lucrative business."
You cannot fix stupid.
I wanna live in the Elko wilds. No I don't. My weather app says it was zero degrees a few hours ago.
A crispy twelve in the lowland valley's. A bit unnaturally cold here for this time of year. Certainly not unheard of. Better than Alaska or the Great Lakes. And the sun is out-great for solar gain supplemental heat. Still went walking this morning. The trick is a scarf, to keep the cold air out of my abused lungs. I'll see how far down I can go.
DeleteIt was 90° here yesterday with a low of 75°...
DeleteDropping down into the seventies by this weekend , when your same front gets to here lol.
Thank the gods I'm one of the diversified.
DeleteJim, If I went to the county today to pay my property tax with silver, would they take the silver?
ReplyDeleteHow do things work after a breakdown? Is paper still legal tender? How many other people won't be paying property taxes? And if the breakdown means millions won't be paying taxes to a tyrannical government, then won't others -- not just myself -- be shooting at any m'fer who comes knocking for payment?
Not being part of the prepper/surv club, I don't know why silver is deigned as the currency for said time. I was truly planning to die in a pile of hot brass. There won't be any other choice.
Between now, when you get a digital income, and after the apocalypse, when there is zero commerce, you'll be in a time of near total unemployment, diminishing welfare and all gov cutting services. But at the same time, the current gov is still in charge, still collecting taxes, stilling sending SWAT teams in. You must cash in silver, which is the only money not hyperinflating, turn it into a money order ( the banks are still operating, naturally ) and pay your property taxes. Those millions NOT paying property taxes will be homeless, squatting in the abandoned buildings. They don't care if you are starving, they want their taxes. If you don't pay, you are punished.

DeleteI would base it on current price equal to current tax. Any fluctuations should be about equal. So, yes, 71 ounces for every year desired of coverage.
DeleteJim, if I may, a PSA for the reloaders. IMR announced a complete recall of 4007 SSC last week. This is not a repeat of their recall of several lots in 2015, this is **all lots** of 4007 SSC. Go to their page and contact them, they are promising to replace what 4007 you have left.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Hope this helps somebody.
DeleteHoly shades of Alpha Strategy, Batman. In reality, what you are saying makes sense even in a good economy. I think next year we see huge spikes in food prices and even availability. Get your stocking up done now folks.
ReplyDeleteI'm wondering if the soy/corn situation isn't already being felt. Lately, I've had extra sensitive reactions to anything with processed oils in it. Me just getting older, or are companies putting "alternate" oils in foods?

DeleteSmall fires and pinch off the damper. It'll work fine, just gonna soot up badly tho, and you'll need to clean the pipes more often.
DeleteMake the internal volume ofyour stove smaller with firebrick. Build a small hot fire, since you no longer have room to overfuel it.
DeleteI feel like an idiot not thinking of that one. Sometimes the most obvious...
DeleteAhh, so you read that link I provided a couple of days back, about the Crackhead Intelligence Service, or the Nosey Kids On Bikes I.S. etc.
ReplyDeleteThe "survivalist compound" I spent a few years on 2009-2012 is one I expect to be an absolute failure once times get even mildly difficult. Because the guy who owns the land is a narcissist moron who tells everyone he meets about his preps and stores and "come to my place" if times get tough. He's got a whole crop of spongers there now, which is why I left. He's also literally got bags of silver coins, boxes of ammo, and guns just piled around willy nilly, and some of the hangers-on, I noticed, got really good at knowing where everything was, much more so than myself when I'd been living there and actually doing chores and being useful. They'd sell that information out for a half-smoked cig.
Hey Alex, Your time there sounds like an interesting story. Change names and location to protect the guilty and please write a bit on it if able. Thanks
DeleteI second the request, Alex. Learning what not to do is as important as what to do.
DeleteI recall Kurt Saxon touching on his time spent on the depression era farm. Apparently his father shipped he, his mother, and siblings off to brave it out, at an aunt’s farm. He mentioned that some people; those with paid off farms, got through the depression with relative comfort. The problem today is that if you are “a have”, you will not be left alone by the “have nots”. We were an entirely different culture back then. You had looting for sure, but it was stealing to put food on the table, not taking advantage of the situation to get that big screen tv. Today, anyone that has what someone else wants, will be a prime target. There is probably no such thing as “too rural” in this latter scenario.
ReplyDeleteNo one can know about your preps. Play the part of the genteel, impoverished country folk, as has been touched on before here. A minion some time back, touched on well fed pets, post collapse, as an obvious sign that the pet owner has more resources than they’re letting on. Better put Fido and Felix on a diet.
Felix can be explained, as a mouser. Garfield, not so much.
