its not about the money 2 of 3

ITS NOT ABOUT THE MONEY 2
I’m sure most of you are aware that money can be a tool used against you.  The guy who smoked crack and went a bit crazy and caused property damage is fined ten years wages ( in theory, if you could hold a job ), and a CEO screws customers and stockholders and is fined one tenth of last years profits ( “ah, they’re only pensioners!” ).  Both actions are weaponized money.  One to penalize the poor and the other to reward the rich.  Sure, Spanky, justice is blind. And, oy, the deal on a bridge I have for you!
*
Now, I just know I’m about to hear the magic word, envy.  It is the Go To word programmed into us to excuse the actions of our very economic system when it tends towards excess.  It is the reason we have globalism and no jobs.  The other word is “lazy”.  It is poor peoples fault they are poor.  These two buzzwords are easy to throw around, not least because there was elements of truth to them.  All good propaganda is repetitive.  All GREAT propaganda is distorted truth, repeated.  As any biologic unit does, capitalism protects itself.
*
America has had a class system based on money, since long before its official founding.  The lower classes in England, you know, that place the English colonists came from, so kindly don’t forget to include the home country in your analysis, were being displaced from the land as the economy went from agriculture to industry.  The high and mighty ruling class had no interest in providing more than a band-aid to rein in the disruption this caused.  They had a colony to get rid of the rabble that insisted on having adequate food.
*
Think of England’s poor as today’s crackheads.  They are Everywhere!  There are far more than you can fathom, you can’t understand why ( official unemployment at minus 3%! ), you blame them for their poor behavior and assume all of them are criminals.  If you had a position, or a job, you feared the poor in case you became one of them ( this is a common factor with today’s middle class, looking around at the Economic Decline and seeing not the true causes, but the results they fear being one of.  Human nature, they seek a scapegoat. It can’t be the rich, who they want to be, so it must be the poor, who they DON’T ).
*
Today’s crackheads just want an escape from reality.  So it is easy to blame them for being worthless and weak.  They elicit zero sympathy.  The poor today, unfortunately, elicit the same response.  Even the ones who live in the middle of nowhere, with the only employment a factory that just closed, the car just repo’ed and the mobile home they can’t afford to live in falling apart. The poor are feared by the middle class, and so vilified.
*
The poor know they have no options and so just don’t give a crap anymore, leading to the Lazy Label, and the rich are the snobby asswhores they always were.  And THAT is the part of the conversation I get labeled as an envious twat whose views should be more refined and logical.  As I said, this is the primary tool, besides fear and greed, used against the Not Rich.  Just like Social Justice Warriors ( who want money not from the rich, who won’t give it to them, but from the rapidly approaching poor former middle class-which is probably why they are so loathed ).
*
The SJW’s primarily fight their war with a few labels.  Misogynist, racist, bigot, you know the routine.  The rich fight the war against the poor ( and make no mistake, you are probably poor and just refuse to accept it.  A thirty year mortgage on an underwater ticky tack and a health insurance policy that costs more than your inverted value vehicle, these are NOT assets.  Your ass be poor ) with their own labels.  Lazy, envious, low intelligence.  But, giving the devil his due, the rich use far more effective labels than the left.
*
Think about it.  You are an earl or baron or whatever, born into wealth.  The offspring of the commoners are relegated to the new Industrial Age version of serfdom by their birth.  Everyone knows their place.  The rich assume God loves them because he allowed them to be born in their position.  What other explanation is there, pray tell?  The poor figure, well, I’m double dog dry humped, so perhaps God loves me enough to give me a better live after this one ( the rich love religion.  Absolution AND social engineering ).  They refrain from rebelling.  It’s a sin and they are ill fed and weary.
*
Now, the poor didn’t come over to this country and get rich.  Obviously, a few DID.  They were the exception, not the rule.  Mostly, the rich in England ( or, at least Those Of Position, running out of money ) were sent over here to administer the colonies.  Only later did the European powers figure out it was better to put a local on the throne.  And by and large, the social class structure of America did mirror that of England.  But for one huge difference.  Frontier to escape to, which meant a tenuous control over the poor.
*
Most of the poor didn’t come here to be free, they came here to be fed.  Or they came over involuntarily, from crimes committed in England trying to get fed ( think “Les Miserables” and you are close, but with another language ).  But once here, who was going to ignore the possibility of free frontier land?  They just needed to go kill them some Indians.  The rich loved this scheme, as it was free land clearance ( just like with Californians today pricing all land out of reach of the other states locals, the rich crowded out the land clearers later ).
*
There are more ways of screwing the poor out of their land then just kicking them out. Leave the poor in place, but pass zoning laws  mandating mobile homes as the new primitive cabin as a minimum housing allowed.  Open a Wal-Mart within driving distance, and then when the last retailer leaves, open a factory with dangerous low paying positions.  Then hire a bunch of Mexicans instead of White locals.  Tell me you can’t impoverish AND profit off of the poor.  Yet you’ll seriously call these people envious, or lazy?
*
Rush Limbaugh, the only news source most middle class hear as they fearfully drive through the ghettos to their soon to be outsourced jobs, is a master at this label baiting.  He NEVER met a poor person who was hard working or content in their station.  No, they are all lazy whores, and they are all salivating over his wealth.  The man was never poor ( and-red flag!!!-his father was a lawyer ) and never worked a hard physical job in his life.  But he knows all about poor people, by gum!  To think I used to respect this worm.
*
I’m going to continue tomorrow, because it is important to understand your ideas of money are mostly propaganda by the rich to control you.  You can discount everything I say, shouting “envy!”, or you can ponder yet another way you’ve been screwed and jerked about like a puppet, and hope to counter that somewhat.

  1. Yes. Not about the money, about use of money and attendant wealth indicators as inticement (baiting people like cooked food smells) used by controlling and influencing forces. ALL those people who do not have an absolute secure wealth base or income stream (everyone in the 99%) are susceptible to a crash to poor and destitution levels. A hard collapse or brute conflict will spare no one. College degreed positions, government positions, business man positions at all levels are all on the chopping block. When reality of collapse pulls away the curtain of fraudulent illusion, fake wealth, fake authority / positions, fake people, will all get a swift kick to the groiner, announcing the arrival of a new paradigm. Good Times!

    1. Even secure wealth is only as secure as security and social infrastructure. ie-not secure at all.

  2. Perhaps as a matter of change, for survivors attempting to rebuild or raise a re orientated society post collapse. Fuedalism in some altruistic noble form may be an end result. Although our current dogmatic programming does not allow people to think differently or wrap their heads around something different. (Stuck on stupid) Take the (gross amounts of) money out of human interactions, and the excessive abuse of freedoms used for power and control, and most problems minimized. Have top down monarchy on national sized scale, fuedal nobles running county-state sized scale. Churches running schooling and a periodic inquisition to keep social order and every one in line. Can't be all worse then the open sewer we are living next to now. No?

    1. Fuedalism is the result of decentralized, limited trade, no surplus energy, in an agricultural environment. It allowed the maximum military with the least amount of resources. But that is NOT how a decentralized system must work, only in an ag/slave state. Tribalism is a viable alternative given the proper geography. If you don't want to be a serf, be in nomad country rather than farming country ( unless it is mountainous farming ).

    2. Anon 3:30 I don't know what 3rd world slum you live in, but this GenX slacker is still living the good life until the power goes out and the piped water brings cholera. Bicycling every day allows for some prepping to do the sudden exit when it's time, even with an income well below what a 2-spawn welfare recipient enjoys. Life is GOOD, and we will look back at this time of easy imported food and easy available jobs with envy.
