malthus with a whimper

MALTHUS WITH A WHIMPER
I'm always pretty confused, but the latest has me scratching my head even more. I can see most governors banning gun sales, because Smurf's Gotta Smurf. I can see them banning large events, as that is a natural outgrowth of Terrorists Under Every Bed. But the indecently fast gleeful shutting of the entire economy? How can this possibly benefit state governments? That one might actually be easy. The FedGov knows how much the states gather in taxes. Just offer them MORE, in exchange for qualifying for Emergency Orders funding. The quicker they lock everyone down, the more cash flows to their coffers.
*
Hell, the pot might be sweetened enough the pension funds get replenished. This is of course pure conjecture on my part, but I think we still need to follow the money, as it still lights a fire under the asses of those playing musical Titanic deck chairs. I do believe the government at all levels is full of idiots. Just believing in Political Correctness, you have to be dumber than a bag full of roofing hammers ( these are presumably less intelligent than rocks ). And before you give Trump too much credit, he is from New York City.
*
Since BEFORE the American Revolution, that Dutch colony has been a radical hotbed of Progressiveness. It was a Diversity Special from Day One. There IS actually indeed something in the water there to make its inhabitants a special breed of retard. Which explains our banking system, doesn't it? Globalism might have worked when we were an actual colonial power, but Vietnam ended all that. Now it is just a control mechanism, and New York one of its control pods. Never trust any institution from there, or anyone. Trump is an establishment RINO.
*
You simply cannot discount dumbassery from our analysis of this emergency. You cannot give too much credit to a system run by the bankers, who fixed their 2008 derivative meltdown with three times the debt and double the derivatives ( as Buffet said in one of his last lucid pre-dementia moments, derivatives are financial weapons of mass destruction ). And, what is it, exactly, with all these mentally challenged old humpers in charge? Pelosi, Joe, I'm actually thinking Trump, and not JUST to be mean.
*
If it isn't simply stupidity, it could be an addled state, mental capacities greatly diminished due to age. It isn't like a younger generation is being trained to replace anyone. The last of the youth leadership was wasted on Clinton, and now they are the same sorry syphilis brain dead zombies as everyone else in power. Or perhaps they ate their children sex slaves, and got Mad Cow disease. Whatever happened, and I think too much pot is the least likely because they are NOT very mellow, the leadership ain't right by any metric.
*
But, again, why would the REAL power heads ( the governors are just FIGURE heads ) want to shut down the economy? I don't think it is a New World Order. As I've said repeatedly, you need a SURPLUS of resources to centralize. A contraction of resources gets you decentralization. The powers that be can only centralize. But they cannot SUCCESSFULLY centralize. Just look at the UN Army, or the European Union. Even nation states are obsolete, but still can scrape by simply from past inertia and investments ( but under increasing stress as resources contract ).
*
We are witnessing the implosion of empire, as overseas funding dried up and the end of paper wealth stimulus is here, clearly no longer working at all. But the power structure must still fight the good fight. They think they can survive. Even if they know they cannot, they fight for extra time, for an escape if nothing else. Since we can only see the ten percent of the iceberg above water, we cannot know. But I'm guessing that last October they lost control of the derivatives market.
*
They kept pushing more and more funny money into the system, which worked in a one step forward and two steps back. Now, after ten times the stimulus, they are only slowing down the backwards steps. At some point they must have known it simply wasn't working and bound to end in 1929 style failure. They must have seen ( the intelligence agencies reporting to the gov who reports to his orange ass's controllers ) that China after containing Beer Virus still refused to crank up the factories again. It was time to panic, as no amount of money can replace what isn't there physically.
*
The government in New York City ( the bankers ) is throwing money at the problem. But not to fix it. They tried that and it didn't work. To manage the crash. And to manage it, they are throwing money at all the idiots who think money will be worth something by the end of the year. The governors specifically. Big business. Wal-Mart food trucks might still be running. To the government facilities. I KNOW we have to wait for the streets to empty as the Flu erupts for real, to see if the shelves are replenished, but that is also the waiting game they want us to play.
*
I'm making wild ass guesses here, but I think it is important to see one step ahead of the panicked masses. I'm ASSUMING the food distribution system is broken, true or not. Because to assume otherwise is to invite real trouble you don't want to see. It is all fun and games to shelter in place, now, while the grape soda is still in the ghetto cupboards, but that can change on a whim. Riots ARE assured. Only the timing is unknown. If the bankers know the system is humped, unemploying everyone doesn't matter. If car spare parts and medical supplies are not flowing, you cannot run the system. People need to drive around-the whole system was built on that.
*
And without medical care, otherwise largely inconsequential viruses take on a much larger impact. And that is just two industries. There are more such as industrial agriculture. I'll continue tomorrow.

"National Forests in North Carolina temporarily shutting down all recreation facilities.
To protect public health and safety and align with guidance from State of North Carolina health officials and experts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), recreation facilities at recreation sites on the National Forests in North Carolina (NFs in NC) will be temporarily shut down effective March 26 2020. This includes picnic pavilions, shooting ranges and all restrooms, including those at trailheads and other recreation sites."

Notice that public shooting ranges are being closed. That will effect people in my area.

    2. Right. And forget not lads, your masters consider you no more than mischievious kids. Your privaleges and taxpayer funded areas are curtailed in advance, as less areas or things they have to answer calls for service for or to protect and manage. Triage for themselves at proles expense. Malhuer kinda had a point in an obtuse way. Enjoy the collapse.

  2. Jim your conjecture is correct. The master class elites globally are playing bio-warfare along parallel with economic warfare. Military activities are actually lower level focus and just theatrics for the proles and t.v. time.

The lower level .GOV and guild workers groups use the subject matter as a "Milk Cow" to grift as much power, funds, and hero worship cult building as possible. It is prostitution by another name and methodology. (The NEVADA .gov and lower entities as well as other private groups are as putrid as any other lib spaz outs and are acting stupidly accordingly). Never let a crisis go to waste.

A worker's stipend payment, or added unemployment benefits, etc are simply bribe and hush money for incidentally witnessing the rape and brutal violations of your various systems in society. Everyone offered will take the cash, of course, culturally cool to do, wink and nod.

Minions are now trapped behind the lines in a dictatorial, cultish ruled, narco-mafiosa, type of nation state (s). Make popcorn to savor with the irony of the show. Stay frosty.

    1. Just recognize this is the last thrashing of the beast. Kyle over at SurvPrep4NormPeeps had a great line. When strong, states next to Rome paid protection money. Once weak, Rome paid them not to attack. Viewed in that light, no taxes and a paycheck is the FedGov bribing the barbarians to not sack Rome. Plan for system disintegration in 3,2,1...

  3. Think about this. We are post war Berlin and the Trumplin wall is probably going up "To protect us" any bets we will not see an end to the emergency ?
All those workers that we normally have doing the farm work legally , ain't allowed entrance(virus)
America just happens to have a bunch of unemployed deplorables and Smurfs both that need work to eat...
Gonna be just temporary you understand ( just like the Patriot Act was ) until order is restored (never)

May we live in an exciting time ?

    2. With that thread pulled, be wary of handout or charity foods and such. Risks versus rewards even if one is dirt poor and has no pantry goods.

Sealed cans or dry goods would be o.k. generally. Be cautious with prepared to go or fresh food stuffs. Too easy for a deep stater to proliferate the attack virus to the underclasses, while herded up at the feed chute locations. An un-possability? Be critical thinking of gamesmanship out there.

  6. And a news addendum report, eastern nevada by Ely, a nhp highway patrol trooper killed, suspect caught. No further particulars of what >really< transpired. (LEO controls info, so....) As a note for Minions, if this is some lash out incident or if the orcas feel all beseiged that blue lives don't matter they will be hyper reactionary outward at everyone. Minions should not display too much Deplorable characteristics in public, being the new hated by everybody group. Tribe conflicts will increase under these new pressures.

    Stay the more frosty.

  7. While normally not one inclined to panic, I find myself feeling the threat level rising exponentially. The refrain that keeps popping up in my head - "When you've got nothing, you've got nothing to lose"...Don't recall who coined it, some dirty hippie back in the day. But you can apply the sentiment to either side- the banker/political faction OR the citizens. If the .gov even suspects for a minute they've got real trouble on their hands you can bet (your last jelly filled donut) they will pull out ALL the stops to crush dissent and/or save their own asses. The proles, at least the lazy, stupid, unprepared and/or criminally inclined will resort to things they never imagined once the bellies start to rumble and no hope looms on the horizon. Unfortunately, I believe the citizens will unleash hell on each other in the name of survival. As much as a Lamp Post party might make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, its not going to stop the hunger pangs. And it wouldnt change anything anyway, its far too late for that. I fear the unwashed masses feeding on each other, both figuratively and literally.
Maybe its just my proximity to the Front Lines of this crisis (health care related job in Cali bay area), but I think we've only just begun. The ugliness to come will make these last couple weeks seem like a little girl's tea party.
I hope I'm horribly,HORRIBLY wrong. Chins up Minions! One foot in front of the other, do the best you can with what you've got to work with. Grateful for your advice all these years Lord Bison!

    2. I only visit Aesop every once in a blue moon, so I am unaware of his stance. But I can say this, my facilty went into "precaution" mode on the 9th, on the 14th we had our first confirmed case. Then we ramped WAY up into full infection control protocol. I wont bore you with the details but its a pretty hard core lockdown. By the middle of this week we had 9 positive cases and another 22 under quarantine waiting for testing or test results. To go from Zero cases to (potentially) 30 in less than 2 weeks, while observing very strict isolation and infection control protocols? Im no doctor or scientist, but to the laymen seeing this unfold in real time right before our eyes...Lets just say a LOT of us are seriously questioning our career choices right now. I figure, Ive survived 51 winters so far, I've had a good run. But Im shi++ing bricks every night that Im going to bring this crap home to my wife and/or daughter. At the start of this I was one of the biggest naysayers in the joint, now...it's literally keeping me up at night. Stay healthy and keep washing. Everything, Not just your hands.

    3. For myself I'm thinking toward the bad side of pessimism on the virus but hoping I'm wrong.
With all the extra burden on the economy, I foresee nothing but bad coming down the like.
That report you linked us to on food supply, sounds even more ominous than even my pessimistic self had thought.

I think we all knew it when it came down to select Trump vs Clinton. One undoubtedly would have brought nuclear war and the other financial ruin.

Meh... Don't Worry , be Happy. Life sucks and then we all die anyway eh.

  8. So... nevada has 92,000 or so out of work schlubs filing for unemployment. Tens of thousand are probably not going back to work very soon, or ever again. If employers or managers have problem child workers or outcasts this is perfect cover story excuse to never recall the detritis dead weight employees for the new economy. Many will blow past benefits limits and never recover jobs or economic footing worse than the last rape-recession session. Spicy times on the way. Stay frostier.

  9. re:
    New York city

The 'empire state' advertises something called 'The Empire State Building'.
According to its specs, it seems it would make a better target than the Triple Towers of September eleventh 2001 fame.

    *****

During a lucid dream, I lifted New York city to check its foundation.
Verily, lo and behold, a Black© cloud of evil issued forth.
TheBlack©CloudOfEvil wasn't identifiable as 'those bankers' or 'those bumblebrats'.
    It was evil.
It chased me through many of my mail-drops and DBAs and a lot of answering services and shell companies all across this particular universe.
After a while, evil ran out of steam, and retreated to its lair under New York city.

It's easy to blame soy or something in the water.
I doubt evil can be stopped using our current knowledge and skills.
    I'm open to suggestions...

I happen to have suffered a respiratory problem on Monday. Of course it's Corona according to my boss. So I'm unable to work until I get the results of a test I'm not allowed to take. WTF? Fortunately after days of ringing around I got to bypass the gate keepers.

    But it was like this

Local clinic - "Got flu like symptoms? Ring the Coof clinic".

Coof Clinic "Just got back from overseas OR come into contact with someone DIAGNOSED BY A TEST AS HAVING Kung-Flu?" if no then go to the local clinic

Local Clinic - You have to go to Coof Clinic. Coof Clinic you have to go to your local clinic.

Caught that pesky rooster that insisted on perching up on the Motorhome. Crowing his ass off at 4am ! This most definitely was not good opsec in these times of food shortages !
Finally lured him into a trap with chicken cocaine (cracked corn). So now at least his early calling is much less noticable in the coop surrounded by his hens. On top the bug out beast it sounded louder than an air raid siren I swear !
