tariff camo

TARIFF CAMO
One almost has to wonder if the “suddenly good news” is rather very bad news indeed. Suddenly, as if by magic, our orange headed savior-cough, cough-has done two things that on the face of it sound super deluxe wonderful. He said to the big Silicon Valley dudes, hey, hump you and your censorship. I'm going to investigate you on antitrust violations. And the other was starting an escalating percentage of tariffs on Mexico, forcing them to help stem the tide of sewage that is More Diversity. On the face of this it would normally be a reason to celebrate.
*
And yet, today of all days, you do NOT want to be counting on the government to be helping you out. Screwing you? That is Business As Usual ( and we all know how much the gov LOVES business as usual which is less for thee and more hookers and blow for me ). So, if you are even slightly paranoid because they obviously are out to get you, you must be wondering what these bastards are really up to. I'm NOT trying to trash talk Trump here. All I'm saying is that when his supporters say, he loves guns, it is a lie. Exhibit A Bump Stock and Exhibit B red flag laws, your honor.
*
When his Fan Boys say lower taxes, his reforms were only aimed at Rich Bitches. And the taxes got worse for lower income folks, like losing tax except status on mortgage interest ( if not lost, lowered. What am I, a CPA? ). I'm not saying he is a terrible president. We had worse than he the last thirty years. I'm just saying that any prez at this point is a lying shucker and jiver for the simple fact that the truth really IS that dangerous any more. You can almost excuse them for having to play the Rothschild's Game.
*
And for getting paid in bribes and corruption? Well, those elections ain't cheap any more. It is easier and correct more often than not to expect far less than we'd like from our leaders. Which is also how we can perform dangerous assumptions on corrupt Tech Company execs. We ASSUME they are evil vile crapwhores, evidenced by that censorship issue and other shenanigans. We ASSUME Mexico hates us and wants to see us drown in a demographic wave ( with a few southern entry Muzzies thrown in for good measure ) for the simple fact we have not treated them very well for going on near two centuries now.
*
So, knowing these institutions are evil, it is easy to hope for their comeuppance and cheer when it occurs. But, when you assume Trump lies, then isn't it obvious this is a lie also? I WANT to see the censorship trend end, as well as increased immigration scaled way back. But wanting in one hand and filling the other with Rosie O'Donnell's ass, which is going to fill up faster? I'll give you a hint. I can never want that hard or fast. I'm afraid it is more feasible to assume Trump is hiding something. My guess is he is helping to hide true economic conditions.
*
Think about it. He isn't going to get reelected in a terrible economic climate. Unless he wants that. Unless he is really truly a Democrat and wants to see the end of the Republican Party. I know, it is claimed he is a true Old Timey Democrat, the one prior to the Globalist Apologists And Collusion Party. But I find that hard to swallow, just because both parties are Imperial. But he is from New York City and there is Toxic Communist Unicorn Dust in the water there. You want to argue about how great they are? I say only-gun control. Blow me, dough boy.
*
But if we assume all presidents lie to keep the public complacent and docile, I think we can assume he is deliberately trying to cover up something with yet another Big Lie. A great portion of the population actually believes we are in an economic recovery, and I don't just mean the Blue Coast folks. If he just keeps selling THAT lie, public panic is avoided which in itself stretches out the time until the crash occurs. Keep charging on that Visa to keep the cable turned on, rather than fleeing to the hills.
*
The entire planet is seeing a severe downturn. Far less is being shipped and bought. And while you could claim that prepper spending is an economic boost, you aren't seeing it from a system wide basis. Banks can't extent much more credit, as more folks lose the ability to pay that back. And removing savings from the bank screws with the banks fractional reserve money creation. And people would reduce spending to the Bank Beast overall to invest in prepping. What, you want jingle mail homes as people move off grid? Self-sufficiency is LESS money to the bankers.
*
Unless you can talk the idiots into thirty year mortgage “homesteads”. I won't mention any particular popular magazines pimping THAT ride. That isn't true self-sufficiency. The Great Depression and Dust Bowl isn't a good enough lesson on NOT mortgaging your grocery production? If you cannot drop OUT of the system rather than being just as dependent on it as if you were still living in an apartment, you are delusional in your preps. What? YOU believe we are in boom times also?
*
Is it my hair, or my charm that keeps you here reading? Anyway, back on task. We can play grab ass on our own time. Wouldn't a 10% tariff on most fruits and veggies be a good way to hide a current food production shortage right now? And wouldn't blaming Trump's political agenda on Silicon Valley firms losing tens of billions of dollars in stock valuation be a perfect disguise for an economic explosion decimating the stock market? Hmmmm?
*
I'll continue with this tomorrow. In closing, a note completely unrelated. This article is my first document using Open Office dot org's “Open Office Writer” in place of Microsoft's word processor. I want to thank Styxhexenhammer for the suggestion. It isn't perfect. I'm still a bit irritated I can't get a permanent word count display ( there is supposedly a fix, a software patch, but I was beyond confused on the instructions for it ). But it gives Bill Gates a big middle finger.
*
I can now return to using my old computer if I have to, which was impossible after the Blue Screen Of Death Dinguses wiped out the old versions of Word. It is going on twenty years old so it has longevity. The price, free, was right ( except for a $5 thumb drive to download it to, just in case ). It gives me a smidge of feeling I'm not completely hosed by greedy corporations. Ah, good times.

According to RaconteurReport, the highly-observant medically-adept border guards between Congo and Uganda mis-diagnosed a child. Subsequently, three people died in Uganda.

Meanwhile, Texas has a few dozen Congo folks walking around.

    1. I just finished writing an article on this. New mutated Ebola, carriers being positioned from the southern border. Of course, just a war game. ALL news must be suspect because everyone has an agenda. I trust Aesop, but I don't know about his sources. Avoid even MORE crowds, now. On the bright side, soon that midwest flooding won't matter.

  3. Remember, Orwell's '84 had a specific scene (movie/may be in book-unsure) that had the protaginist character using cut and paste to doctor up propaganda newspeak article to reflect the newest latest edition of the news theme. This was way ahead of it's time, and we now see it front and center in practice, daily and often. Trust literally no one, trust information and entertainment diarreah even less. Again, Minions: weather forecast, overnight crime body counts and maybe road advisory traffic reports. After that turn off, tune out, go about business. Keep them bullshit filters in place over your sensory receptacles at all times. Stay frosty.

    2. All of them. The business model in general is corruption just asking for a date. If it is electronic, of any and all types or sources it is suspect. Only a verbal conversation or handbilling by someone known and vetted can be deemed of any possible thruthfulness and only useful as advisory in nature. Stay frosty.

When I leave the compound I like to sightsee all the interesting and diverse homeless, vagrants, backpack transients, shopping cart conversions into refugee wagons, and related agitprop of the booming economy. I call bullshit on the news and the put forth fake numbers news. The reality on the ground says otherwise. Plan accordingly, collapse is indeed nearly impending.

And a rather large one it is, being of such epic proportions as to require gerrymandering, since such an ass couldn’t possibly fit into one western county.

Also, not a very “green ass”. Can you imagine the methane that pours out of that sucker on a daily basis :D

  6. The economy is toxic and on the verge of imploding. The only thing that actually looks good is the stock market, but only because it's being heavily manipulated. Did you know the Feral Reserve actually buys stocks to fabricate a perceived market demand for them? The real action is in the bond markets. These are what are on the verge of causing the derivative meltdown that will take down everything. But they always say to look at the stock market and rarely mention the bond market (pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!). Government and private debt levels are rapidly increasing exponentially. I dislike lies as much as the next guy (probably more), but the pres is actually doing a great service for us, stroking everyone with foundation-less tweets of hope. If he told us what was really going on, the whole system would melt down with no reasonable recovery in our lifetimes. I hope he keeps it up as long as possible to give me more time to get ready.
    Peace out

  7. Off-topic update: actually it's probably a little on topic since it has to do with not trusting governments especially if you're not high up in one of the government's special interest groups...

Just finished another short-term US assignment, so did a drive by / cache-reburial and re-stock of my US-only BOL land*.

(*In brief, in case the Schiff really HTF, the US Guvvermin like all govts will care even less for foreigners than deplorable non-elite natives - so I have wanted to reflect a small percentage of my home-country prepping near my usual US locale, to be self-sufficient for a few weeks at least).

Good news, cache had not been disturbed. Not good news, two of my wheat buckets had cracked or become brittle and got seriously squoze - looks like there had been ground movement or subsidence. Reburied the intact ones elsewhere on the property. Also buried added food. All done before dawn, hidden by my careful rental car parking, OpSec secure IMO.

Took the decision to additionally rent a small anonymous storage locker in a nearby city, quite a sensible monthly cost really, (as just one example, one year's locker rental there is one third of the total I pay my home country thieving government just to be able to register and insure one small old car on the roads legally, per year). Stocked it with more food, 10 gal water, a small cart with solid tires, a few tools (ax, shovel, spade, etc. and some shelter-material and cold-weather bedding and clothing supplies courtesy of Walmart) all for the same cost as the year's locker rental.

Had previously taken a few days annual leave to go roaming around northern Nevada and some of Utah in a rental - a fascinating drive in itself, especially on Highway 50, passing through Eureka and Ely etc. Drive also reconfirmed my view that north-east Arizona was a better choice *for me* than Nevada / California / middle-to-south Arizona.

However, there remain two fragile issues with my choice. The first is surmountable, which is that although there is a fair amount of water locally, i.e. within 100 yards of my land, it's not exactly potable without treatment / filtration (I had a sample properly tested). Not toxic, but not drinkable without effort. I can put in the effort and I have filters etc. The second is if I (have to) get up there in autumn or winter, I'm gonna be ultracold without proper shelter. I actually have in mind buying a WalMart 8 x 6 garden shed and storing its components in the storage locker… it could be put up real quickly in an emergency once I carry it to the land, and dig it in, and providing I am careful with not stressing the plastic walls, I could insulate with additional dirt and tarps. Better than a tent. I'll have to think some more about the logic behind this concept :-)

On the drive back from the BOL to the airport in Pheonix, I also checked the best walking route I had previously mapped out, for natural groundwater locations. (Still and all though I'm probably better off trying to carry water and finding out-of-the-way locations = well away from the highway, with retail water. I have portable filters too.

It may be, the psychological comfort I get from these preparations is worth more for peace of mind than their actual utility. On the other hand, I haven't got a FLIR so there's that in my favour :-)

    ReplyDelete
  8. In the light of all of this, I think my comment is not as off topic as it could have been.

I just finished another short-term assignment in the US, and took the opportunity to add a few extra days touring Northern Nevada (Highway 50, awesome ride, and great to spend a bit of time and small places like Eureka and Ely - if I had enough money to spare to be able to stock sufficient fuel and food, I'd love to get a little cabin near Ely).

Then I spent a bit of time and money on the US BOL (trying to replicate a small percentage of the preparations I have in my home country, because am pretty sure that if the Schiff HTF the US government will be even less interested in helping deplorable foreigners than deplorable native non-elites; which is as it should be). I'd like a few weeks sufficiency at least.

The good news is, the caches on property look undisturbed. The not good news is that these been some land shift or subsidence, or a couple of the week buckets were inherently brittle, so I lost half. Reburied the rest with additional supplies in another part of the property; and although it sounds melodramatic I did it at dawn with the rental car parked for good OpSec.

The visit also reconfirmed that for me, Northern Arizona is a good choice. Within striking distance of where I might be starting from whether by bike or foot; not too hot or cold, although I do have a couple of built-in fragilities with my location. The first is water, it's within 100 yards walk of a fairly large supply of water, but water testing / sampling originally showed me it's not directly drinkable. But I have off-the-shelf filters, if necessary - if I can find ongoing fuel - I can boil for drinking; and I have built sand filters in the past in other countries. the other is not quite so straightforward. Temperature. On bare land with only a tent in autumn or winter to start with… I would be very cold. I'm thinking of buying an 8 x 6 Walmart garden shed that I could assemble on site and dig it in part way in the ground, and use tarps for additional insulation. I'll have to think more about that.

On the plus side, I rented a small anonymous storage locker relatively close by i.e. well within walking or cycling distance, and spend a few hundred dollars increasing food and fuel stores, adding shelter materials, some basic tools (large and small axes, saw, spade, shovel); mess gear and a small stove, clean water, a lamp and fuel, some barter medical and non-medical supplies, and some Augasons’ buckets plus more wheat. Which may seem extravagant for supplies I hope never to have to fully rely upon in a place where I hope never to have to live off grid; but actually the cost of that plus the storage per year is less than one third of what I have to pay my local thieving government in my home country to every year be able to legally drive a motorcycle…

…and the above doesn't include a FLIR so I have that going for me :-)

Then on the ride back to the airport, I checked out and re-mapped natural water supplies* in case I ended up doing the trip to the BOL on foot or by cycle. (*One route is much better than the alternate for that).

Still and all, I used to think the chances of a systemic breakdown (what Dean Ing in a very good book called “Systemic Shock”) were maybe .5 to 2%. In the last year, and especially with regards to the assaults by nature with Ebola and by the Dhimmicrats in the US and the equivalent in my own country… I would say it's now up to at least 5%. Which represents an increase of an order of magnitude.

Next time I swing by that location I know I need at least three additions to the stores (apart from food, always)
    - a very good pair of winter-grade boots already broken in
    - fuel (i.e. to burn)
    - more winter wear

      For my fellow Dingo's

US Centre for Disease Control (CDC) recommends N95 NIOSH approved masks to prevent the spread of SWINE FLU. The P2 mask is the Dingo Standards equivalent of the US N95. These masks have been used to protect from Hendra, Swine and Bird Flu.

    2. Ebola is scary. Might be the end game for middle class Whites from all industrialized nations. Might be just distraction as the economy swirls down the crapper. Hard to say which, because even if the Interweb wasn't censored we'd still mostly be in the dark. I hope you got your bayonet situation resolved ( not that you want to spear Ebola Dudes, just that the suburban folks might need crowd control as they panic ).

    3. Since it's going to be raining all weekend this morning my wife took me to an early Father's Day lunch at a brand new Texas Roadhouse. I was on recon. The place was slammed, the prices were more than I like, though she paid, and the atmosphere was deplorable to a person that never hears anything louder than a couple of Wrens.

There were 50+ people within 20 feet of me. Think - ebola sneeze distance. The exit was at least 50 feet away and several obstacles between me and it, let alone all the people. Clearly, if an active shooter came in the door that fat lady over there would be dumped out of her chair (we were in a window booth) and that chair would instantly create an emergency exit where the window used to live.

All in all the experience was OK and I told her so, but inside I know I will never go in a place like that again.

Too expensive, too much food at one time, questionable quality of the food, were any of the food handlers tainted?

      I don't see an upside.

    4. The economy is crap, one eatery after another closes from too much acquisition debt and falling customer base, yet the ones still borrowing to keep the doors open are packed. So, less restaurants even with fewer customers makes it seem like business is booming. I don't go out to them any more-gross overpriced food. You just gave me two more reasons to stay away. Better to buy a steak at the grocery store. Cheaper, better, safer. ( I know the back store layout from Food Bank pick-ups at all the grocery stores, for quick egress. Plus, easy to avoid people there ).

I think it’s pretty much a given Jim (as in a prerequisite) that in order to expat even semi-successfully, you definitely want to go where you’re going to blend in with the local populace. If you’re white, and you plan on going to latin America, then you need to look at places such as Argentina, Uruguay, parts of Brazil, and perhaps a few others. Spanish is a relatively easy language to learn, comparatively speaking, and you want to have it down, right to the local accent, ideally. Perhaps this might be going a little overboard, but it wouldn’t be a bad idea to adopt a surname that’s representative of the local people.

Sadly, I feel that GS is on to something here. I don’t think that the US is going to be a very habitable place to live in the not too distant future. Even if the communists implement half of the policies that they’re currently running on, it will be a enough to tank what’s left of the economy, resulting in a massive, and likely overnight collapse.

As a very small sample of what’s to come, my 83 year old democrat voting aunt here in commiefornia, got a rude little surprise the other day when she went to pick up her heart medication. Previously her doctor would give her free samples, so it cost her nothing. Now she has to pay $400 for a 3 month supply. What happened since the last time she got it for free vs this time? Well, that commie cocksucker Governor Newsom (whom she voted for) just passed the Medicare for illegals act. Coincidence? Perhaps, but if so, it was an awfully well timed one :D

    1. Ha! Priceless! Suck it up Auntie Buttercup. Now, consider moving to any urban area down in White-ish South America, you are moving to Chicago crime levels. Perhaps South Central Compton levels. So, you'd want to be rural ( for food production also ). And there everyone is in your business and knows you too well to become Latino. Best bet, marry a local, and/or start a small business to spread the wealth, and hope for the best. Me? I don't trust anyone that much. Especially Catholics who can kill you on Friday, confess their sins on Sunday, and go to heaven on Monday.

    2. Yeah, the plan is definitely not without some flaws Jim. I’m 55, so at my age, I probably wouldn’t be trying this. But if I were younger, and had the foresight to see the direction that the US was heading, I likely would have done it then. By now I would have been living there a few decades, and most likely would have been fully immersed into the culture.

One bonus going for GS though, is that people outside of western countries know hardship firsthand. When people here experience that for the first time, things are going to get ugly, and fast. We have an entire generation of retards that require “safe spaces” over spoken words. Imagine what happens when you throw hunger into the mix?

    4. Because I am way out here in the sticks it's kinda like watching society through a pair 500X binoculars. I am watching the slow but continuous influx of that which normal people are repelled by, in all of it's 23 flavors.

In the past 18 months I have had 3 new immediate neighbors and all of them are from big metropolises and all have demonstrated that mindset. Currently it is still bearable around here but there are times when I just want to get out and away.

I remember back in 2006 when I told my father in law we were going to move to the sticks to get away from people he said, "Where are you going to go? The whole country is like this, they will find you eventually." I thought I knew better, I thought we were moving far enough away. But I was wrong, and he was right. We didn't move far enough away, not by a long shot.

Thinking about this now proven fact over the past couple weeks got me to thinking and wondering if this is the way the whole country is going. Is this entire country now doomed? Even trash land? I'm not talking about kicking the can down the road, but rather, kicking it clear off the playing field. In time you might remember me as a visionary.

    6. Folks, I write this after living and working all over this particular planet. Dozens of nations, hundreds or cultures.

My biggest problem with importing individuals from Latin America and Africa:
*** They are accustomed to new corrupt government agents overthrowing the existing corrupt government agents. The latest 'revolucion' and 'coup' are a daily part of conversation.

      Instability is their 'normal'.

Try building a business, try establishing a farm. Any activity requiring long-term planning seems beyond their basic abilities. Indeed, planners are viewed with suspicion because you don't fit the mold.

      Here is my reasoning:
*** Close to the equator, food is easily accessible year-round.
*** Equatorial people eat sugary foods such as grains and fruit because it is always within reach.
*** They attach lesser importance to offspring because they easily produce more.

Compare that situation to northern European tribes:
*** We plan for shortages and famine caused by weather and long harsh winters.
*** We deeply attach to our offspring and adoptable orphans because we genetically understand the need to continue our heritage.

Few northern Europeans bang rocks and sticks as their only expression of music. Instead, we developed pianos and bagpipes, Brahms and Mozart, Edison and Tesla. Mark Twain. Heinlein. The lessons of apostle Paul.

Yes, the possibility exists afro folks built flying stone pyramids to explore the stars. And the possibility exists, while Caucasian folks cowered in caves too stupid to learn to build a fire, afro folks developed trigonometry and calculus to... sorry, I can't write that without laughing.

Based on my experience, everything in Africa and Latin America is in a perpetual state of returning to its atomic elements. I thought they don't care, then I realized the machinery and other European gifts are so unfamiliar, it must be voodoo. Bad 'juju'. Avoid it whenever possible because it is scary.

Unless it is the AK-47 series of firearms. Leading us back to the inevitable 'revolucion' dujour.

    7. I understand what you saw. My questioning is WHY you saw it. These people have been colonial subjects for 500 years. Would this not impact their culture slightly? Just saying. When society A takes all the surplus from B, A seems advanced and B looks like bare assed savages. The Scots and Irish were starving in the ruins as their wealth was siphoned off to England, as a for instance.
