GUN CONTROL MISDIRECTION

I think we all got played for suckers. Most of our attention was focused on federal gun control, and too few of us were looking at where all the gun control is happening, at the state level. Now, this is NOT a huge deal. It is just More Of The Same. I bring it up mostly because it is interesting to discuss, not because I'm issuing a Five Alarm Fire All Hands On Deck Warning, Warning Will Robinson. You all know which states are so obscenely foul about gun control they prohibit pellet guns, black powder guns and gun part kits to be mailed there. You know where it is pretty silly to move to ( and you are also aware any state can Turn Purple FAST, as fast as they can get Mexicans and Californians in there ).

*

( Talking to you, Texas, and similar. Nevada was freer than you folks, and as soon as Vegas filled up with Blue scumbag whores, the state government flipped. We had a few Republican governors after that, but they were RINO's. All your big cities are turning Blue, so how long do you think it is going to take for the state to follow? We had Dingus All for gun control, then they had a False Flag massacre and in just a few years it all went to crap. The only good part of that is that it will be a target rich environment come Boogaloo. You'all better hope the California exodus doesn't include you. Nevada fell off their list once they screwed up the real estate here )

*

A lot of folks probably dismiss federal gun control. I sure did, if only prior to the last election. I was telling you that Trump passed more gun control than Obammy ever did ( and those Red Flag laws he allowed to pass at the state level are nothing to sneeze at, I'll remind you, in case you only remember the stupid ban on that rapid fire device the name which escapes my memory. Now, I don't know IF the feds will pass serious gun control laws. I know it barely matters, because you cannot buy what they might ban anyway. Well, it always matters, Second Amendment and such, but I trust you take my meaning.

*

I mean EFFECTIVELY, it doesn't matter as much, at least right now. I see it as a waste of time and energy to worry about it when you need to stock up on everything EXCEPT guns. Six months of food? WhatTheHolyCrappingHump! Wally is still selling 25 lb sacks of white flour for like $5.25. And the shelves here locally, days after the huge miners payday mad stock-up, are chock full of them. My store had 200 pounds in stock, JUST in the big much cheaper bags ( 29 cents a pound small bag, 21 cents a pound large bag ).

*

READ THIS! ( Krogers remains much higher priced, and that fact plus at the time Wally having about zero flour prompted my previous Red Alert Flour Warning. I stick by that, but note a seeming reprieve ) READ THIS!

*

For every $6 you spend, not counting storage container cost, you get another month of food per person. If you cannot eat flour, store it anyway to feed your dependents. If you don't care for flour, and prefer rice, go ahead and spend twice the price. No skin off of my ass. But you had better have a lot more food than you do now, I can guar-an-damn-tee you a jelly filled donut. If you think Corona won't lead to collapse, who cares? Food storage is an insurance policy, and you are NOT buying what you can use as much as buying soft nightmare-less dreams. I don't stress about starving anymore, even if I cannot stop buying too much food every week.

*

You know how I justify that? Inflation. Every week I'm buying what we normally eat every day. The only criteria is storage space and longevity. But I'll be Good Dog Damned if I idly stand by and watch prices escalate without doing something, even if it is a futile gesture. Again, with the sleeping soundly every night. Once you spend the extra money on apocalypse food ( daily food and collapse food being two different things. Daily stockpiling is ONLY buying on sale until everything is stockpiled, then you only buy again on sale, and your daily eating now costs 25-50% less. I shop at Wally whatever never goes on sale elsewhere ) you won't miss the money but will enjoy less stress.

*

Money, you can always get more of. Until money won't get you nothing. But in the meantime, money is just a tool. Food is a tangible asset, and always trumps money. But you can use money to both secure the tangible, and money to invest so you need less money. But guns? They are necessary, but they do NOT rank above food. You can always salvage PVC pipe and make a bow, if you have no other weapon, or if your dumb ass used up all your ammo in an orgasmic explosion of semi-auto combat, but you cannot salvage food. That fantasy is only for nuclear war ( back during the Soviets days ) or zombies fiction. It has zero place in real life.

*

As does last minute shopping, as if you will be the only one to figure out to make a food run while crap is starting to get spicy. Spicy Times are NOT coming. They are already here. What you are waiting for is the time things start going kinetic. Look, survival fiction is fine and dandy. It entertains, and it keeps you focused on the task at hand, and it is pretty good for War Gaming. The problem is when you start buying the authors bullcrap. Because anyone's life, even famous people to a degree, is boring as hell. Fiction must move along or it doesn't get read, and the author doesn't get paid. So embellishment and outright reality avoidance is the nature of the game.

*

Only in fiction can you get enough food out of a garden to feed you and the whole tribe. Gardens are for tasty vitamin pills to spice up monotonous starch, NOT for calories ( rarely enough calories ). Only in fiction does everyone conveniently die off and leave you to salvage. Only in fiction do you either avoid most combat, or prevail in far too many firefights. When I rave about survivalist fiction, it is only when there is LESS of any of that fantasy crap ( No Blade Of Grass and Cannibal Reign are the two champs ).

*

Okay, Jeez, that took a long wide detour. Tell you something you don't already know. Let's partially return with the myth of moving to a gun friendly state. As I said, I did, then after investing in land, I got screwed. So don't JUST make guns a criteria for where you are moving. ANY state, no matter how anti-Bill Of Rights, is livable with its current laws. Don't focus on the semi-auto's, cache most of what you have ( especially ammo ), and look at who your neighbors are, primarily. If you are out of Riot Zones, that is more important than those state gun laws.

*

To a large degree, gun control at the federal level has stalled for some time. I think a lot of politicians now consider it a Third Rail Issue, untouchable. Sure, you have a lot of rabid socialists, but they talk about crap like transgender rights and Gore Warming. Most SANE politicians would rather not incur the wraith of gun owners ( and now there are millions more DEMOCRATIC gun owners, thanks to Negro Get Out Of Jail Free Cards issued last summer by the idiots who would have banned all guns, kitchen knives and Harsh Glances )

*

To a large degree, and zero thanks to the Quisling NRA, gun owners are rabid enough to keep gun control SOMEWHAT in control on the federal level. And yeah, the NRA sucks worse than Schummer or Pelosi. Too much in salaries and perks go to their upper management to ever want to see LESS gun control, and so they are inherently gun control supporters. And even if they weren't, like the once helpful Red Cross, too much of the donations go to self perpetuating admin costs. Your dollars are much better spent by Gun Owners Of America, where almost all the money is spent in court battles.

*

But here is the thing. Federal laws are NOT screwing us. State laws are, and as I've said before, that is intentional. We are being herded into reservations, and the shiny gold ticket is LESS gun control. Not only do we want to move to Red areas, the Blues want us to and do not care about Red no gun control. Their little slice of heaven is Evil Gun Free. And they can easily do it because the Supreme Court, no matter how full of Republicans, supports pure democracy, no representatives in states. One city, or a group of cities, controls the whole state. Reds get zero representation.

*

The only reason whose red states haven't gone purple is because the reservations are not full. Blues want ALL reds on their own land, and compromising on Full Gun Control is an easy price for them to pay. Because it won't be their country anyway. I think it is beyond rude of you to stay living in a Blue state, when the elite want you to move. And will reward you with a partial restoration of your rights as a reward. Of course, yes, I did say that Red states can flip to Purple ( you must account for Red immigration, which counters Immigrant immigration, to see that most Red states will never flip to Blue, but rather Purple. Reds are cashing out and moving, but illegals don't have any jobs here to move to. Reds have real estate-a reverse Cali Cash Out, as it were- and they have pensions. So I'd bet on Purple rather than Blue ).

*

Now, yes, we can be controlled by living in a reservation. In Reds case, food control. But the Blues are already under full commie control, so you aren't REALLY going from the pan into the fire. You are crawling out of the fire, even if you are still going to get burned. And yes, I understand a lot of you are stuck where you are. You can live comfortably where you are in Blueland, as the house is paid for and your pension doesn't cover a new mortgage. I don't care where you live, getting in debt to move is the wrong move.

*

A modest amount of debt, buying a $3k lot of junk land and a $3k used trailer, that isn't the crazy debt I'm talking about. That is an investment, when an apartment rents at $1500 a month. I'm talking house bubble debt ( yes, we are in another real estate bubble. Sell NOW. The woods are disgorging legions of idiots paying any price for homes now, completely disregarding future employment viability ). I'm even talking about vehicle debt. Debt might be better than living next to the ghetto, but I would advise being smarter about it even as you must panic early and avoid the rush.

*

What I'm saying is that no matter how bad gun laws are where you are, they are not the priority that location and finances are. But also that gun laws no matter where you are can get crazy stupid at any time for any reason because the states have gone completely loco with unConstitutional anti-Bill Of Rights legislation. And all your little butt buddy Republican Supreme Court Justices don't do anything about them. The same justices that refused to consider libraries worth of evidence that Biden was NOT fairly elected ( I don't blame Biden. He is a blended artichoke brain atop an ancient mummy. I blame all the asshats placing him there ).

*

And there is another thing. We know, and we know not because we are smart but because the PTB rubbed it in our faces, that the election was rigged. Why do you think state and local elections are not? Because wishful thinking. You want to think voting still matters, so you assume that elections closer to home are fair. That is a BIG assumption. Voting doesn't matter. At all. Ever. Voting is the inmates electing a spokesman to interact with the warden. Guess what? The warden gets to do anything he wants, no matter who is the prisoner delegate. I know, I just told you the politicians at the federal level won't touch gun control.

*

I think it is all an act. I think that the gun control fanatics are there for a dog and pony show. They scare everyone into focusing on the federal level. The state level gun control is reacted to with a simple, “oh, I'll just vote by U-Haul”. Well, guess what happens to that gun control free state? If too much money moves to that state, it quickly turns Blue ( or, at least Purple ). Money draws the bankers and corporations and those looking to buy cheaper housing ( and the ones who can afford to buy that are those from previous wealthy states, all of them Blue ). So there goes that Libertarian wet dream of Going Galt. Silly Rabbit, your money is Blue controlled.

*

I don't think Californians ( or East Coast equally rabid Blues ) move out of Cali to escape gun laws. I think they move out in order to cash in their home equity. Once they move and buy another house, then they must protect the equity in the new location. And so the new location slowly turns into the old location, which was centralized government micromanaging everybody because oppressive laws protect home values. In other words, they turn the government into a Home Owners Association.

*

Think about it. HOA's job, its ONLY job ( the power trip is just a bonus ), is to keep home values artificially adjusted. Mostly, that keeps out the riff raff who cannot afford the required maintenance ( and constant upgrade requirements are a good way to keep out rednecks who could fix it themselves ). Anything is permitted by a HOA to keep the house values high. High home costs keep out the Darkies and low end hillbillies. Because, let's be honest, that is where all the dangerous criminals come from ( high end criminals, those gaming the system, are not dangerous, except financially. And that is who lives in high class neighborhoods ).

*

Except, you cannot sell high and buy low if you move to another HOA location. So, you cash in at the HOA for big bucks and move to a non-HOA location that is in a nice neighborhood without crime because all the working lower class form a NON-diverse cultural group. And once you arrive, you drive up real estate prices, driving out the working poor, and the bond they had. Now you are stuck with a home attracting crime because the criminals draw to money, moths to the flame. So what do you do? You get government to solve this problem.

*

The old neighbors pretty much looked after each other, but the new richer ones are rich asswhores who are selfish and don't want to know each other, because bonding requires sacrifice, effort and a sharing of resources. Which is not in their DNA. They got paid by being selfish and stiffing the Newest Sucker on a piece of crap home vastly overpriced. Well, the old school government was funded appropriately to a lower earnings group, who mostly took care of their own law enforcement to a large degree. The government is in no shape to take on all the extra work ( requiring vast amounts of additional budgeting ) that the new arrivals need, so that begins the new growth phase of the government.

*

The new people want more government to protect their investment, because more taxes are cheaper than HOA fees ( at least at first ). And the government wants more government not because they are fascist pigs or power hungry douche canoes ( at least not at first ), but because the old locals will be hired as the new government workers, which is both job security and better pay, and mostly they will earn more than the increased taxes charge. Everyone else already there are screwed, but then, it is a zero sum game and the losers don't get a real vote.

*

The new arrivals never liked high taxes or gun control, but they liked cashing out home equity and the criminals being placed out of their way. They love the new locations low property taxes ( even when they double after all the new bankrolled arrivals ), and they love playing with their new guns, but they don't mind new gun control laws because it helps keep the criminals less well armed ( prices follow gun control, and the poor cannot afford nice guns ) AND, they are LESS control than where they just came from. And hence, how migration targeted communities turn from paradise to the same craphole the new people came from. NOT because politics but because of greed protecting home values.

*

And yes, that makes YOU part of the problem. But don't act defensively. Don't deny what I'm saying because it hurts your snowflake feelings. You know I'm right, and I'm right because this is just human nature. It isn't a moral judgment. It is how our society is structured now that we have zero communities to belong to, with the First Mover Advantage. Whoever starts a trend benefits from a trend ( or, whoever is the first to take advantage of the trend ). I'll make that its own article one day, but just keep in mind everyone is jockeying for decreasing wealth, the race to eat the biggest slice of a diminishing pie, and no one is going to NOT play the game, mostly.

*

I won't go TOO far into the weeds on this, at least relatively, but look at the War Of Northern Aggression and the South. The South was a financial powerhouse, prior to the Industrial Revolution transitioning land from wealth to a commodity. When food was wealth, land was wealth, but only in relation to the food it could grow ( to include non-food crops ). The North was held ransom financially and politically by the South. They had to submit to that control, and were understandably angry and resentful ( I will stipulate that the assbag Puritans deserved every bad thing they got, but I won't digress ).

*

Today, the South is any area not yet colonized by Blue State homeowners. The North are those caged and controlled imperial citizens resentful of their place in a centralized NON democratic society. But the Northern citizens are well paid by the central bank to keep them under control. Some take their winnings and invade the South. The Southern citizens are resentful they lost their wealth and political control. Now, the only way the North went from controlled to New Controllers was a paradigm shift in what constituted wealth. Carbon fuels and factories full of immigrants trumped food and land. And the only way the New South ( we are the Reds, in case you weren't following me ) is ever going to turn the tables on their oppressors is when the paradigm flips BACK to land and food as wealth.

*

We will NEVER win trying to retake control back of the system we were kicked out of. And part of the Old Order was individual sovereignty, which guns were the symbol of. Well, far more important than that firearm was the community behind the guns. The problem was, we missed the part where we were dismissed from the community, but kept our illusions because we had bought into the Rugged Individualist myth. We forgot each rugged individual was part of a group. Even in a primitive tribe where all males are warriors, and each warrior is equal, no warrior was equal to the group as a whole.

*

First, the group was paramount. The difference between tribes and fascist nation states or oriental despot led groups is that in a tribe, the individual had an equal vote in how the group acted. Other political organizations also make the group more important than the individual, but then the one man had zero vote. And by vote I mean an actual vote which was part of consensus, not voting for the spokesman to the warden. Sovereigns equal under the law, but with no group, only think they are in control of their own destiny. But without the power of the group, it is an empty gesture.

*

So, what am I saying? I'm trying to say that we cannot win under the current paradigm, no matter where you move to. What you are doing by moving is pre-staging yourself to the area soon to be under the post Oil Age new wealth arrangements. When land and food become the new and only wealth, once again. The homesteaders have the right idea, but if they never consider who their neighbors are and what they are ( Blue or Red ), if they take the sovereign route, they are already defeated and occupied, mere self training serfs.

*

Okay, so, first you know you need to move, if you are behind enemy lines and there is no escape ( I live in Purple Nevada, but only the southern tip is really Blue. I still live in deep Red territory. That sucks as far as gun control, but I'm surrounded by my people, several hundred miles in all directions ). Don't JUST move to a gun friendly location. Move to where your culture is, as Red as you can make it, with the least chance of being Blue invaded-both politically now and literally post apocalypse as in easily defeated and occupied prime farm land- and keep an eye on future allies, NOT what guns you can own in the future as a lonely deserted surrounded sovereign household.

*

Today, crew served weapons trump riflemen. Centralized food and fuel control trump riflemen. The Jews in Warsaw did not defeat a superior force ( for a time, at least until artillery was used to genocide the entire area. But at least they fought back and many escaped ) because they had the Assault Weapons of the day, semi-automatic weapons, pallets of ammunition, and certainly NOT night vision devices. They won with superior tactics and mostly really crappy guns to start with. And as you might remember me pointing out, a lot of them were eating beef anus as rations.

*

Does wheat sound so bad, now? Anyway, man is a tool using animal, and we've done very well with those. Ask any endangered species. But his supreme tool is culture and social organization, NOT a superior weapon. Blue forces are currently holding all the cards. Financially, culturally, resources control, logistics and on and on. But you would do well to remember that mostest favorite thing I keep screeching at you about, Peak Oil. The problem with diminishing energy is NOT that you are screwed financially. That ship has already sailed, as Blue forces are in control and Reds are subjugated and colonized. A lot of you might refuse to accept that, but there it is.

*

In case you were kind of confused, when your Breeder population is paid for by the enemy, and the bitches ally with the enemy because of that, demographically you have been defeated. After 55 years you are still in denial. Oh, sure, that trend will reverse, like real soon! Anyway, the problem with diminishing energy is that those whose wealth and control is founded on that energy are losing both, even as it looks like they are invincible and victorious. Stop focusing on fighting them for regaining control, because it is impossible but even if it wasn't, you would be winning a failing system.

*

Stop thinking moving to a Red gun friendly state will allow you to have any part of the current paradigm of American Empire, Oil Age Empire, Oil Age Wealth or Oil Age protection. Moving there is ONLY about avoiding getting killed as paradigms change, NOT about preserving what is failing. And yes, a lot of rhetoric from Reds and Gun Owners is about just such a thing, keeping control you have already lost or at least not losing more. But its very nature, you MUST lose more, because oil supplies are wealth and power and the oil supply is contracting. You cannot change that mega trend. All else follows it. You can use your diminishing Oil Age wealth to invest in the next Agricultural Age, but NOT to hold on to transient wealth predicated on oil.

*

This is where my biggest issue with homesteaders is. They believe that The Center Will Hold for thirty years, as they pay off a mortgage. They think crime is the only threat they will face ( I've yet to hear a conventional homesteader in the Backwoods Home vein believe anything will ever get worse than Great Depression levels. Not to say survivalists don't homestead. But it wouldn't be with debt, or by dangerous neighbors, or by assuming the ass isn't falling out of western civilization ). They think they will always be able to drive into town for supplies.

*

And they think once they pick The Perfect Spot, it will freeze in time and never change. Well, they MIGHT actually be pretty close on that one, if we assume this is the last grasp of American Empire and things aren't going to continue to decline, but rather collapse. Then there isn't enough time to continue to see Blue forces take over the whole nation like the cancer they are. I assume I'm correct about Fracking Oil and Petrodollar Oil and Corona As Camouflage. If not, I'm going to look like a rather large idiot. Not that I'll mind, just as I never felt bad for panicking early in 2008 ( which was just a culmination of panic moves years prior to that ).

*

For all of you that are in a poor location, but cannot move, well, don't feel TOO bad. Number one, you are probably old enough your natural lifespan is about up anyway. If you can just kill at least a half dozen Blues before you meet your maker, you will have done your part in strengthening the species and preserving our cultural of freedom. Number two, your location increases probabilities, it does NOT guarantee them. You might survive, staying smart and tough, where well equipped and perfectly located individuals roll a bad hand of the dice and are stupid or unlucky. And three, this ain't the North during the War Of Yankee Imperialism. There is going to be far more unsafe locations than safe, everywhere. Trouble will not respect state lines. You might be next to the one Blue hot spot, or in their line of retreat, in a solid Red area.

*

And number four, none of us might even live long enough to get to the other side of the boogaloo. There will be a lot of wounded rabid animal thrashing about from the governments and other organizations, dangerous to everyone within reach. We could see severe winters without heat, famines without medicine, diasporas of whole groups, crop ready areas not producing sufficient substitutes to centralized farming, or being fought over, race wars, religious wars and every single negative human endeavor all in a very short time, everywhere.

*

You had better believe Jim Morrison ( and not just because Jim's everywhere are smarter, have nicer hair and are far sexier than anyone else ) when he tells you that none of us here get out alive AND you might have the guns but they got the numbers. Hallelujah and amen. I hope by now you are already converted to the Church Of The Right Honorable Malthus, understand that General Murphy wins most wars, and pledge allegiance to King Darwin.
