You can’t get the black widow, yet you can have the much smaller, and concealable NAA .22LR with the 1.125” barrel? It just doesn’t make sense. It's CA approved (all single actions over 7.5" are automatically approved).”

Thanks for the suggestions peace out. Yes, it’s the mini-master that I’m currently considering in the .22/.22 mag. Didn’t know that you had a choice on the sights, so good to know. Would have preferred the more compact black widow, but it was not to be. My #1 choice would be the Ruger LCR, but for some reason it costs significantly more in certain calibers, than others, and I’m on a tight budget. And since I already have a 9mm, I’d rather not add a 2nd caliber to my arsenal, by getting the more cost friendly LCR in .38 special. The original plan was to get the LCR in 9mm and get a Lee Loader, to load for both of my 9mm guns.

I’ve included the link to SB 15 exempt handguns. Any single action revolver of at least 7.5” overall length, with no less than a 3” barrel, and that have at least a 5 cartridge capacity are exempt.

https://oag.ca.gov/sites/all/files/agweb/pdfs/firearms/infobuls/0007.pdf

Another alternative is to buy a cartridge conversion cylinder for my Colt 1849 Wells Fargo cap and ball for .32 S&W. But that gun, as small as it is, still weighs 1.5lbs, so I don’t think I’ll go that route. For me it shot about 1" groups at 15 yards, and repeated torso hits at 100 yards. There is a slight "shelf" at the very end of the trigger pull where you can pause and shoot just as accurately as a single action. (I also tried the LCR-X version with the exposed hammer and 3" barrel and didn't like it anywhere as much.) Fits perfectly in my hands. One caution though, somewhere around 50+ rounds the cylinder rotation starts to get a little gritty from the dirtiness of the .22 round. This is when you know it's time to clean the front end of the cylinder and the area where it meets the forcing cone of the barrel. I only used CCI Mini-Mags and Velocitors, and had 100% ignition reliability.

On topic for today, I recommend this book for being your own doctor as much as possible after they're no longer available at the hospital...

https://www.amazon.com/Doomsday-Book-Medicine-Ralph-Guardia/dp/0996461590/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1516416070&sr=8-1&keywords=doomsday+book+of+medicine

Peace outAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-82464397028912879272018-01-19T18:32:31.228-08:002018-01-19T18:32:31.228-08:00I though the state in the early 90's was humpe...I though the state in the early 90's was humped up. For a while now I’ve had the desire to purchase a small, concealable pistol, to carry around the property. It’s been many years since I’ve purchased a gun, and I was aware that the gun laws suck here, but it’s gotten far worse since the last time I purchased a gun. In short, practically every gun that I looked at is not on the Kalifornia approved roster of firearms. The little black widow revolver that peace out suggested, would have been perfect, but it’s not legal here. I post this mainly as a warning to those that might actually be considering moving to this shithole of state, that they should definitely consider such a move carefully.

This is just one of many issues that make this state undesirable.
