But organizations almost always (historically) triumph over individuals. I believe the best we can do is to have the smallest government (pitbull) possible, kept well trained, and better armed than that organization, so as to be ready to put it down should it become necessary. Back in the 1920d (30s?) or so the US Government reversed that capability- no automatic weapons for us. No cannon mortars or other military level weapons beyond single infantryman's. Combined with the economic leash they began putting on the average man with the 'Fed Reserve', IRS, and gold confiscation we have passed the point to owning the dog and are now at the point of being the b***h or trying to kill it with slow poison - and when it is in its death throws every other mutt will want to take its place (gangs, cartels, mafia, foreign governments, etc, etc). Probably one of the best things you have written. Akin to HL Mencken in some ways. I've been feeling a lot of this lately... I find for instance much of what the alt-right has to say of substance or even old school non marxoid Anarchists. At the end of the day this often translates into the bleating of malignant rabid sheep intent on recreating some version of Animal Farm.... It's a race to the bottom but what's the prize? A large very angry underclass just itching to lash out. At who? The 1% better be doing more than just hoping it's not them.

It's like economists, media talking heads and corporate leaders are ignorant of the Paradox of Thrift (not everyone can save at the same time). Company A cuts wages and saves a wad of cash. Company B does the same giving their shareholders a nice bonus. Eventually we reach Company Y which has to lay off workers because nobody is buying because all the workers have had their pays and conditions slashed.

I don't know what it's like over in Bison land but here we are experiencing increasing costs in the things we can't avoid such as utilities (my water bill increased from previous quarter even though usage fell) whilst wages are stagnate or decreasing.

I have noted that companies are big on promoting that their services don't have lock in contracts or very short terms (subscription services like gyms, pay tv, internet etc) and I take that to mean that people are reluctant to commit to them.

I think we are screwed. We're being led by and are surrounded by people thinking short term. The next quarter profit statement, the next election, the next pay cheque. Let's put off maintenance for someone else to handle and hope it doesn't blow up on our shift.

Dang I'm getting depressed just thinking about it.

Collectively we are all at fault yet at the same time nobody is.

Secure your calories, secure your own personal border, secure your tribe & get out of debt whilst hoping for the bestDingonoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-22981012808460717382017-01-10T15:31:41.735-08:002017-01-10T15:31:41.735-08:00See above commentSee above commentJames M Dakinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01382139289994087931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-58952257787655407232017-01-10T15:31:18.036-08:002017-01-10T15:31:18.036-08:00Government is just how a non-tribal society govern...Government is just how a non-tribal society governs itself. It just needs to be limited to the bare minimum to allow a level playing field. This level playing field means full disclosure in all relationships, and penalties to individuals or organizations that do not provide this disclosure. This means environmental regulations apply if there is any chance of pollution leaving ones property. This means fees and fines if employees are not instructed on how to utilize safety equipment (*and liability if such equipment isn't provided) It means customer protection laws like cigarette cancer style warnings on all products. It means fines to employers who hire employees at below a certain minimum wage as those employees then may become a burden on the rest of society.
JJGreyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06708302086326564665noreply@blogger.com
