Otherwise, perfect. Better do an EMP though, as Fracking Forever doesn't leave many ways for society to collapse. You could cash in, but do it quick before it becomes real, on a pandemic. It's only fun and games now. I don't think you'll find any Enfield battlefield pick-ups. Only the really smart survivalists have them, so they will probably only be found in underground lairs years after the collapse, next to a body that died naturally from old age. Just ...I couldn't interpret the sarcasm level. Just beware. Chinese oil use had been down six months prior to Beer Bug, their economic activity falling and inventory surging. Now they are a minimum of 20% below that already low level. The rest of the world will follow. Fracking unless nationalized or subsidized massively, more so than now, will be the hardest hit due to its high cost of production. Don't worry, my Amazon commission will follow your oil one. Ones mileage varies with wear and ammo and maintenance, but note even an AR gets 4 MOA with Tulammo. And, see YouTube with 223 vs 7.62x39 ammo tests on a junked car. Blindingly bright sky blasted by the blowing dirt and wheat chaff. The scene reminiscent of David Lean's landscape camera work. Full horizon dividing the screen between an otherworldly azure blue sky and the dunn colored field. The sacred and the profane in an age old embrace.

A big Green Machine (Deere, not Army) is finishing the last swath cut of wheat on the first 1280 acres. Only 44 million more acres to cut before this beast and it's brethren reach the Canadian border in Sept.
A squad of camo wearing, suburban born troopies languidly perform overwatch on the perfectly flat landscape. No cell service with which to play games on their phones. Listless and unaware.
FedGovt's finest 'protecting' recently requisitioned grain.

Unbeknowest to the troopies, hardscrabble Deplorables are hunkered down in the borrow ditch adjacent to the headland. They've been in place since before dawn. The ditch is the only cover for miles around. Our hero, Lord Bison, has chosen the ambush well.

Waiting...waiting for the big Green Machine to reach the headland and commence it's slow laborious turn, the hopper top heavy with grain. The combine comes to a stop and disgorges it's fullness into a waiting grain truck. After the auger drops the last bushels of grain the truck pulls out of the newly shorn field. With a hand wave a Deplorable drives out of the field. The corpse of the original driver covered by a tarp bleeds out on passenger side floorboard.
This load of grain won't make it to FedGovt elevators.

Turning, turning...the Deere turns about face in the headland....suddenly the sound of a .303 round from a century old Lee Enfield rings out. The great Green Beast is too big a target for even the 5 MOA Enfield to miss. Diesel and hydraulic fluid spout and catch fire on the hot engine.

.303 & .270 rounds puncture the engine cowling and crack heavy forged steel. The more numerous 5.56 eventually manage to shatter the cabin glass after numerous shots.

Minutes later all that is left is a black soot filled column of smoke from the dead Green Beast. The vertical column visible for miles. Vultures begin to circle in a horizontal plane. Seen from an angle the circling vultures and smoke column form a cross.
Lord Bison and his retinue police their position, bag any identifying material and ride off on liberated BLM ponies from a 'rescue' center.
Tonight they eat flat bread from wheat fresh from the field.

Man that is born of woman is of few days and full of troubles.
Anon()()noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-53705826356832124862020-02-23T12:03:23.445-08:002020-02-23T12:03:23.445-08:00Both buckets say 6 grams protein.
