And ha...Yes, for what it is, PVC pipe is expensive. And have you priced zip ties lately? That PVC dome would kill you in pricing, not to mention all the fabrication is very labor intensive. Fortunately it's all light labor, but still. Demented dude is probably right about steel dome hub kits, if that's your fancy. As a lifelong building designer I always thought the dome stuff was just another in a long line of gimmicks. While initially eyecatching, the gimmicks are almost always difficult to build and expensive to create and maintain. There's a reason sticks and bricks is the most popular way to build. It's went through hundreds of years of evolution. It's not really possible to create a building any other way without huge trade-offs in money and labor.ghostsniperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15644187165818782984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-40842716895842200772020-02-12T14:12:59.563-08:002020-02-12T14:12:59.563-08:00You are wrong and I am living it everyday. I said I am going it differently, as I have explained here many times. 20+ income streams, all of them small to avoid the criminal radar sweep. If 5 streams fail I still have 15 more. Always looking for more ways to earn coin to exchange for what I want or need. Some call it survivalism, I call it living. I stopped doing the 9-5 thing a long time ago and that leaves a lot of time for persuing more beneficial ventures. This works for me and I expect other people will choose what they want too. Or not. ghostsniperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15644187165818782984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-31368953962635575922020-02-12T11:58:55.736-08:002020-02-12T11:58:55.736-08:00I think it is overpriced, myself ( I'd drape c...I think it is overpriced, myself ( I'd drape cement soaked sheets over it, then ferrocement ). Looks like you could buy 2 sized of schedule 4 and cut @ 3-4" drill a series of small holes in the smaller for tie wraps and larger holes in the larger for conduit to fit through. I wonder if painting everything would help protect everything from UV degradation. Of course if you covered it as a shelter that would do the job. With enough heavy tarps could make a sturdy tent.Nightshifthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16463940857394060911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-67612949856014770022020-02-12T07:51:57.867-08:002020-02-12T07:51:57.867-08:00Libertarians are not in tune with biology. My point is merely that the corrupt system we have is still preferable to the break down of law and order. You THINK you can go it alone, but just earning a living and shopping, you are part of the monkey tribe. And the majority of them need the fear of violence to act correctly. It'll be like a scene from 1997 along Nevsky Prospect in Moscow as the babushkas sold old Soviet era medals and pins for food money.

But on a sanguine note...pray for China.
I think the numbers are far worse than published simply based on CCP & other nations' actions (hospitals built in 10 days, lock down of many cities, widespread social media deletions, flight cancellations, evacs).

Lots of innocent common folk suffering.
