Other houses had huge windows on both the north and south sides, screened, open to allow whatever breeze there was to flow through.

Summers were and still are miserable. I don't think I want to do without my A/C.

MCmostly cajunhttp://mostlycajun.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-64530657569759657652015-03-03T13:17:54.784-08:002015-03-03T13:17:54.784-08:00I never understood old humpers moving to FL to be ...I never understood old humpers moving to FL to be warm, only to never leave the AC. You won't be cool by any stretch of the imagination but if you don't move around much you might not be overwhelmed by heat stroke. In my rabid youth the heat didn't bother me as much but now that I'm old and ornery and basically intolerable I have to either have air conditioning or do what I did, move to a colder climate.
I lived 2 miles from the gulf in SW Florida (Cape Coral - Fort Myers) for 40 years.ghostsniperhttp://www.upyerz.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2686829448547770092.post-86679328333025053702015-03-02T10:36:58.102-08:002015-03-02T10:36:58.102-08:00Louisiana Gulf Coast. Talk to me about cooling, especially in the 90+ degrees temp, 90% humidity of summer, starting in May and continuing into October.

MCmostly cajunhttp://mostlycajun.comnoreply@blogger.com
