buying another gun 3

BUYING ANOTHER GUN 3
Now I'm reading that Orange Man Re-Opens Meat Plants might not exactly have the force of actual law behind it. I don't know. I don't care. If the meat plants stay open, but the vet meds from China are gone, the only thing that changed was the big corporations get A bailout rather than B bailout. After all, they know every way to skin a cat ( get it? HA! ). Then Trump just goes back on my Crap List. Even though the bastard finally sent me my money, better late than never after making me sweat.
*
Have you noticed the jerk-off's making their regular LiberTardian jackass baying about how now we are incentivized to not work, how we are scumbags for taking federal money, hinting we are welfare queens? Okay, number one, the economy is humped. I get my $1200 NOW, but I don't get my $600 a MONTH for TEN years. You know, since I'm not getting my Social Security I paid into for 34 years. About $90k of contributions. Yes, I've always said SS is just another tax, and it is nothing you own or are owed. The Supreme Court ruled that over sixty years ago.
*
But don't pull the rug under me, take the rug, then begrudge me licking the dirt from under the rug. You stupid simple crapholes. The incentive to NOT work is the 50% unemployment as you closed down the country. It is the tripling of rents in a decade and the quintupling of medical expenses. The destruction of the used car market ( cash for clunkers ) to enrich Detroit. The opening of jails while the police stand down, so that it is safer to stay at home sitting in your recliner watching Netflix and stroking Annie AR waiting for the home invasions.
*
THOSE are the incentive to not work, not the crumbs you might, MIGHT!, give me if the EBT card load up enriches your banker butthole buddies. Screw every single analysis spewer carrying water for the economic rape team, helping to throw us all under the bus. Hump you until your rectal bleeding threatens your life from blood loss. And secondly, no amount of Deplorable Checks can ever amount to the wealth the bankers have extracted out of the economy. REAL wealth, not the created digital wealth us peons are given, AFTER there is nothing more to buy.
*
I will bet you a jelly filled donut that the gold and silver didn't run out until after the Connected Ones had their chance to buy at the low, low price of $18, unlimited supply. I'll bet that the Oligarchy bought the last of the freeze dried foods before Black Death Corona was announced, back when It Was Still The Flu, Bro. Those $250k Atlas Bunkers didn't sell to the Wal-Mart greeter or convenience store clerk. The guns and ammo were only gone for a matter of weeks. Thank you, previous demand destruction and Democratic Idiots In The News. The system was oversupplied.
*
And that loops us around to shopping for the apocalypse. We all want to give up our soon worthless Greenbacks for lead, steel, silver and plastic buckets of wheat. That Orange Man check is burning a hole in my pocket. Guns are a natural Go To in times of coming 1920's money printing ( I'm amazed people think the Fed bribing most other central banks means the dollar is strong ), especially when all the silver is gone ( I done told you. All last year if not longer. Seriously, people. I'm making $4k a year, and I'm buying silver ).
*
Hell, I WANT to go buy more guns. It is as natural as checking out a pair of bouncing bosoms, even as you enjoy a romantic walk with your spouse. Damn you, joggers who have yet to get down to 1% body fat! I was pricing a AR kit from Palmetto. And the last thing I need is one of those. I'd have to dig another hole. I can't say buying guns is bad. Saving cash is bad. There are really no right answers ( this assumes you are squared away on food. Food First Or Fudged! ). I just want to ask you this. Who is going to buy that gun, and how are you going to replace that cash?
*
I know what you are thinking, because I was thinking the exact same thing, and most of you are smarter than me. You need to be out of paper and into assets. How did that work out for you the last three months? This is the slowest mother humping collapse in history ( a decline and collapse are not the same, but I would argue we left decline already and slid uncomfortably into collapse ). No amount of logic or reason can explain how Mad Max has not already happened. Against the odds, the center still holds. Being out of paper right now and you can't pay the essential bills ( food and taxes ).
*
If all your cash is in yet more guns ( never loses value! Well, technically, when all the ammo is gone... ), and everyone is unemployed, you do NOT have a liquid asset. If you spend that cash, it won't be replaced. And what, pray tell, gives you the idea your cash stream is safe? Retirement? Wages? The US is in the middle of an economic collapse, NOT a recovery. The PetroDollar is as dead as gold Greenbacks were fifty years ago. Best case scenario is a Super Depression, in a country without the energy or ore that we had in the first Depression ( I know, technically we had others. But none other in our current Oil Age Economy ).
*
And that means unemployment isn't no mere 25%. It is already double that. Government checks? Look how long those took to get here, and that was before things got really bad. Again, I'm not saying there is any right answer. I'm saying the system might not crater fast enough to justifying more guns if you sacrifice liquidity. Just a ponderable.

note: Sweet Baby Jesus Atop A Unicycle!  I swear, some of my geriatric blond moments are priceless.  Last July, I posted BBBno16 to Amazon.  It is the one with Survival Hermitage and Battle Rifle Book.  Yeah, I didn't realize until today that the book never got added to my author page.  If you were wanting it, it should have posted, or will shortly.  Now that is embarrassing.  Again, do NOT buy unless you haven't donated and wish to.  Free in PDF at my web page.

note: HA!  LOL!  Holy crap, this is priceless.  I'm laughing so hard my dingus fell in the dirt.  Michael Hudson, economist:"They're ( Chinese friends ) sending foreign aid to New York like we're a third world country" ( he was sent some masks to wear ). HERE
*
note: If you've been eyballing the Netflix original movie "The Decline", because it has survivalists, I can recommend it.  The prepping is just backdrop, to set up the suspense.  I won't tell you any more than that, or risk spoiling it.  Does it demonize preppers?  I didn't really get that vibe-it was more balanced than most.  Too PC?  They did a pretty decent job minimizing it.  I don't know if its French or from Quebec,  but it is in Frog so there are subtitles.  They didn't bother me-you don't miss anything while reading.

    1. Yeah, sorry. Couldn't find it. I gave up searching after 30 minutes. I think it was in the first blog. So good luck finding anything in there. Like most of my fiction, I enjoyed writing it at first, then it went to crap.

    2. Are you thinking of Jim's excellent (to me, at least) work of fiction, Loco Gringos and an Apocalypse? The first installment appeared on May 7, 2012. In that first chapter our hero, Randy, is attacked out of the blue at his trailer by a guy with an Uzi firing full auto. In the second chapter, Randy's friend and neighbor John is standing by his EMP-disabled vehicle, pondering the source of the attack, and musing "who knows, Mexicans hit us with nukes they bought from Russia."
      Is that the one?

    3. Oops, sorry, my bad - you said it WASN'T the one with the trailer being attacked, not WAS the one.

    4. OK, how about "Bisonia One" from 2009? It was posted as an article on this blog on September 2, 2013 because Jim was going to delete his old "bisonia" blog site that contained that story.

    5. Damn, that is the one. Good job. Its at the James M Dakin blog, not this one

    6. Thanks, but it was an easy job, actually. It took about 30 seconds to search the pdf of your compiled blog posts for the word "flintlock". For those minions who don't have it, that ebook is a screaming deal - over 1,700 pages of Bison goodness for a mere $1.25 here: (https://www.lulu.com/shop/james-m-dakin/the-james-m-dakin-blog/ebook/product-22800482.html)

    7. Obviously, the blog is still up, so no need to buy the PDF. Basically it is for sale to reward Lulu for offering the free books. They get about $1.03 of that. I can't believe it is embarrassingly true, but I didn't even know you could search a PDF. And I never would have thought of the search word. So, yeah, EXCELLENT job. Different wired brains compliment each other.

  2. Annie AR and rectal bleeding, top form Jim, bravo. I agree if your thesis here is grounding Minions to be pragmatic with the dwindling sources of liquid cash, (it is what runs and greases the streets and commerce in my a.o.) versus getting an emotional aquisition item that is a hoorah! Tangible asset investment harped on by certain scribes of the redoubt. If it would be a screaming desperation sale deal, or just low budget BTN add ons that may be acceptable in the current stasis situation now. But there is going to be necessity of a lot of walking around money for your sustenance during seige events or payments in varied forms/bribes/ for your freedom or release from custody scenarios. Another variant is got wheat? cause you can't eat your rifle. Staying focused and frosty.

    1. Bribes from custody. ie, shakedown money, as seen in all the other turd world nations. Good point, that was off my radar.

    2. Also as a Vegas cultural norm holdovers from days of olde, is upfront gratuities, tips, tokes, etc. Cash into someone's palm. It greased things for better customer service, and allayed the hired help from rifling through your things and also acts as a BTFO social cue like a handgun in a waistband signal for the monkey cadres. Rules of the streets dynamics. Also have a stick up forfeit bundle roll of loose bills so as to have hand over the cash money if and probably when you get mugged at gun/knife point. Keep your deep stash in secret pockets or outside cursory pat downs by the beard boy brigands that will be your new overlords, eagerly search fondling you worser than the TSA furry lads ever did unto you. Just saying. Stay cash frosty, no?

    3. Beard dye will also be a good item to have on hand. 3% Militia will be full of vain aging losers. The dye kind that slowly blends out the grey. Better than a carton of smokes or whiskey, from old school bribing list.

  4. The ordering meat processing plants to stay open seems mostly about shielding companies from lawsuits. Workers who get sick from lack of PPE can go hump themselves. Get to work making my favorite sausage links, says the orange man.
My take is you got what you got. Bad time to stock up on anything. If anything, buy small items that others might not prioritize: spices? Quality hand tools? Don’t go overboard because it is all a guessing game right now.

    1. Not only a guessing game, guessing based on lies and misinformation. I'm just putting most money into savings. It might be the wrong call but it feels like the right choice when all of them are wrong. $1k of Orange Man check went into savings, and I left $200 in the checking account. I feel no urge to order anything online with it. I'll probably stash that too

  5. Uneducated Economist raises valid issues with re-opening businesses:
    https://youtu.be/aJfn-F_-CXs

1979-89, I owned a restaurant business in Chico California.
I verify his points; I call this 'habituation'.
Customers habituated to doing 'it' at home probably will not rush out to shop.
Customers habituated to ANTI-SOCIAL DISTANCES probably will not rush into crowds.

    1. Is rope too merciful? Crucifix? Impaling?

      Delete
    2. Well, sure, I suppose maybe it is too merciful. And when I really stop to think about it, hanging isn't terribly efficient either... However, it does leave a pretty suggestive memo for all passers-by AND its available in natural fibers and its reusable, so the Greenies won't have that to complain about. Crucifixion has too much baggage and I'd hate for someone vile to be thought a martyr simply due to the manner of exit. Tho, I will say your impaling idea has merit. I hadn't ever considered that one.

I don't follow the details, but I find it odd just what they hell these people are thinking with their reindeer games. Perhaps you'll have better luck with a truck stop lot lizard and some crank?
